By far the worst Chinese in Llanelli! We live nearby in the Bryn and have never been as friends said it was awful, when our usual restaurants Frankie’s kitchen and lotus house were closed we decided to try it, well I wish we hadn’t as most of the food went in the bin, it was inedible, cold, the boneless chicken had shards of bone in it, and the taste, I’ve never had such a bland meal in my life it was absolutely disgusting! £55 in the bin and we will never return.

Good place to order however recently purchased a fried duck which sadly ended with a case of the sickness bug due to standard of cooking not being most ideal.

Can you update your prices please! You have a lot of customers that depend on your food which is absolutely beautiful.

Delicious food and very filling, service was great. The waiting time for the food is around 10-15 minutes for a medium potion of food, which is really worth the wait, I will definitely be coming again. Also, I really recommend the chicken balls, egg fried rice, and curry sauce. Thank you for the lovely meals Sun rise! 👍

Absolutely shocking the way they treat their customers and front of house staff. Had money physically thrown at me across the counter because I told them their prices were different adevertised online from what they charged me. Accused front of house staff of the fault occuring when it was nothing to do with them. I used to go there weekly, now I have been told I am not welcome so will be taking my £30-40 order elsewhere with great pleasure. Such a shame as I have been a regular customer for years but after this incident I will not be giving that business another penny!

Unfortunately I will not give this place a good review because the staff and owners are atrocious. The food is outstanding but when querying the price of things which are different prices advertised the money difference was physically thrown at me and I was banned from the shop. Needless to say they will now be loosing over £120 a month because of their ignorance and rudeness. That is without being spoken about in Chinese! Forgot to mention the way they treat the young boy, front of house, trying to blame him for their faults. Absolutely shocking!

First time here looked at the reviews and went with it so glad I did absolutely delicious really enjoyed highly recommend defo have it again when we are bk here on holiday thanks.

Sunrise serves the best Curry sauce and chips and Special chow mean, the sweet n Sour sauce is second to none, the soya gravy outstanding 😋 Sunrise in my opinion comes in a vlose second to Lotus House in Pwll Llanelli.

Mediocre at best. Chicken balls very nice can't fault Beef chop suey meat very very chewy but flavour pleasant. King po chicken awful lacking sauce and flavour more like sweet and sour no punch to it. Chips meh!!! Curry okay not great but not awful. Not the cheapest and no freebies despite spending £30 almost still charged for poppadoms.

Ordered chips with sausage and curry sauce didnt get the sausage, I repeated 3 times sausage with chips and curry sauce

Food was great, Thai red curry delicious, crispy beef not spicy but tasty anyway, chow mein, chicken balls and veggies all great but they forgot our rice We cooked our own rice as going back would have cost more time and money I recommend the food but check your order before you leave

Reasonably priced and delicious

The food was bland and uninspired. I’m sure the chef had a passion for food when they started this restaurant, where is that passion now?! I had a youthful excitement in anticipation of this succulent Chinese meal, I feel let down and sad after eating it.

Pick up usually within 10 minutes of telephone ordering which is very good and the food is lush. My favourite Chinese, prices a bit steep though which I suppose can’t be helped but fried or boiled rice used to come with the curry as part of the deal, not anymore, have to pay separately for the rice which I wasn’t happy about. Nevertheless tasty food.

Variety of menu to choose is the first thing I like. Not to mention the taste is great for each and every menu. The price is reasonable.

Good food but have recently put their prices up by about 50%. Photos show menu and one page of old menu to demonstrate price rise. Was quite a shock when told that my normal order was nearly £15 when it used to cost under £9. 😭

Just had a Chinese as a treat from sunrise. The young lady on the phone and the desk was very polite and lovely. Food was cooked quickly, all absolutely stunning. Would recommend to all.

The man who answered phone was very helpful regarding menu choices as we did not have a menu. Food was tasty especially the chicken rice, and portion sizes excellent. Would be great to have an online menu. Thanks Craig Wayne for recommendation

Have never ever once had a bad meal from here!! The food is always amazing. The sauces are thick and full of flavour. The lemon chicken fills the pack and is alwyas tender. Honestly the best chinese anywhere around.

Lovely food great chicken balls sweet and sour sauce king prawn schezuan Singapore noodles spicy chips and curry sauce fast service only complaint was the place did not have heating on not good for sitting There waiting for them to cook .will phone the order through next time can't wait for more food from there 😀 felt sorry for the cold staff working there.

What can I say, easily the best Chinese takeaway in llanelli, have been going here for the past year and have had the best food every time, always fast and no hassle, never get the order wrong and it’s always spot on !!

We were staying in Llanelli after travelling down from Manchester. We arrived late so went out for a takeaway. The standard of food is very high! Tasty Chinese food and excellent service. We ordered egg fried rice and crispy beef HK style. The chef put our food in a box each (half and half) as we were staying in a hotel. We need more Chinese takeaways this good in Manchester

Good selection, fast service and reasonably priced.

Always order the set boxes where you can get half rice half chips and chicken balls with a choice of sauces and it's always very tasty and very very filling. It's very local which helps massively and the prices are very reasonable.

We ordered a Chinese meal from The Sunrise The Avenue Llwynhendy Llanelli last week,i was feeling on tip top form before i ate there,the amount of MSG in my Chicken Curry was so high that my head was spinning a few hours later,i got up my head was swooning and giddy and i felt as though i hadn't drank water for a week,,my husband got BEEF CURRY FROM THERE A FEW DAYS LATER AND FELT ILL,THEY ARE USING TOO MUCH MONO SODIUM GLUTAMATE IN THEIR PRODUCTS,ALSO DECORUM WISE I NOTICE THAT THEY LOOK INTENTLY AT THE CUSTOMER WHEN THEY COME TO THE COUNTER , EVEN THOUGH THEY EMPLOY SOMEONE ELSE TO TAKE ORDERS AND CASH PAYMENTS,they look far too interested in who comes to the counter,which makes me feel suspicious.there is no doubting though about the effects of MSG, it causes ill health,it makes you crave more chinese, its sickly how much they use,,

Not a bad Chinese, but nothing to scream about either. The chicken Kung Po was the best thing we had from a an order of about 5 mains.

This Chinese has most definitely improved on the last time we visited a couple of years ago. The food was absolutely gorgeous on our last visit and the service was fast too.

Best Chinese in town - lovely food, always hot, ready quickly and the soya sauce/gravy is THE best. The man and woman who cook and serve in the shop are always kind and have excellent customer service skills. RECOMMEND!

Nice food and service good but dont deliverer

My family and i have been visiting "The Sunrise" Chinese Takeaway for 20 years but since it's changed hands iv'e noticed that every time i eat there since the new owners have arrived i get heart palpitations ,i never have heart palpitations when eating any other cuisine from any other restaraunts in Llanelli only when i eat from the Sunrise in The Avenue.I feel it's my duty to report this incase someone may have a weak heart and the Monosodium Glutamate added as a flavour enhancer if used in large quantities can cause heart palpitations and in a person with a weak heart may cause a serious Heart Attack!
