Chips were average. Few nice crispy ones, a lot of greasy mushy ones. Cod bites disgusting. Dry, rubbery grey/brown ‘cod’. Chicken nuggets, slimy and cheap. Very expensive for this standard of food. Absolute waste of money

Awful chips , tasted as though the oil was way way way past its best . Tainted taste ! Awful . And to wait over 20 minutes for 2 regular chips is beyond . Never again

Bought fish and chips from here today after waiting at least 20 minutes for them they were terrible batter not cooked hardly any fish and chips greasy and horrible never again

Just called in at Teifi chips with my lad on the way back from football. The chips were absolutely disgusting , basically a box of fatty burnt chips most were rock hard , the pie was only just warm and tasted like it had been sitting there for hours. My lads chips were the same. Complete waste of money.

Visited while on holiday in the area, we a had takeaway order. We ordered fish ( doesn’t say cod so unsure what white fish it is) and chips, burgers and chips. The food was disappointing, fish was over battered and greasy, the chips we received were very crispy and hard not fluffy like you expect. The burgers (chicken) was again greasy. The whole meal wasn’t good, we definitely didn’t visit again and wouldn’t recommend.

Staying locally and needing something to take back to the caravan we visited on a Friday night. It was very busy inside with lots of people standing around waiting for orders so it was difficult to know who was being served next. The staff could have been more engaging which would have helped. We ordered a large chips plus a small sausage and a large battered sausage to share, and the price was very reasonable, it was also a massive portion of chips! Way too much for even two of us to finish. It was your standard chip shop grub really. Not the best but not the worst, quite greasy, but for the price and if you’re starving it’ll do!

Just had fish and chips , take away and must say these are the worst I've ever tasted. Greasy fish, and inedible chips. Binned it. Won't be going there again.

Excellent chips, fresh and crispy, and a huge portion. Great pies too. Service with a smile and good value for money. Definitely recommend.

Visited Teifi Chips on a busy Thursday between Xmas and New Year. We all had the fish and chips and ate in the cafe. We have high standards when it comes to fish and chips and have to say these were delicious. The chips are beautifully cooked and not at all greasy. The batter on the fish is light and crispy and the fish is moist and not over-cooked. Would thoroughly recommend if you are in Newcastle Emlyn.

Visited Teifi Chips while shopping in Newcastle Emlyn, they have moved to the site of the Central Cafe. What a fabulous meal we had. We decided to eat in. A generous portion of fish and chips which came piping hot and the same for the mug of tea. The batter on the fish was so light and crispy much to our delight as so many fish shops can have a much soggier batter. We chose to have a ramekin of curry too and that had a lovely spicy, fruity taste. Best fish and chips we have had in a long time. The menu stated they also do an all day breakfast and based on the satisfaction of our fish meal, we returned the following day for breakfast. Yet again we were not disappointed. Great taste, fab selection of items on the plate and yet again piping hot. We will definitely be returning when we visit this place again. We recommend, trying this place, we don't think it will disappoint you.

Friendly and welcoming staff, potatoes good but needed cooking for a bit longer to be crispier, Cod was overcooked which meant the fish&batter were a bit dry. Not the worst Fish&chips but not the best either.

We tried this chippy when we first moved to the area, chips were lovely but I found the batter grainy. I don’t know if they use semolina in it but it has a horrible grainy texture that actually left grainy bits on the sausages. We thought maybe it was a one off so tried them again, but no still grainy batter, might get their chips but definitely won’t be having anything with batter on.

Now called Caffi Emlyn. Toast 2.50 for 1 slice plus a small prepacked portion of jam Decor tatty. Lemon 🍋 Cake good. All on one floor.

Great service. Preordered our takeaway meals. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious fish and chips and piping hot. Large portions! We thoroughly enjoyed.

First time we tried this fish shop and found the cod and chips the best we’ve tasted in a long time. The Chips were lovely and soft inside and beautifully crisp on the outside. Cod cooked to perfection with a light crispy batter. We’ll definitely be back again as I would give it 10/10 with good customer service.

My husband and I are staying locally for a few days and thought we would have a look around for a decent pub for lunch, walking past we spotted someone eating the chips through the window and they looked gorgeous so we went in. We were served at the table as they were following the COVID guidelines. We had the best ham, eggs and chips, it was superb. The chips were perfect, the ham was hand carved and thick, the eggs were sunny side up. 2 soft drinks and 2 ham, eggs and chips £14, bargain.
