The best restaurants in Rhiwbina Cardiff South Wales

Just moved to rhiwbina and was excited to see my new ‘local’ and it did not disappoint,beautiful rustic interior ,amazing coffee (iced or hot) &cakes .and really lovely staff ,will be coming here again and again .

Absolutely loved Mesen & would highly recommend. We were in town for a long weekend and went back a second time for the Sunday roast as a family after such a great dinner the night before, and it didn’t disappoint! The mussels, steak, pork, lamb tacos plus all the veggies/roast trimmings were all delicious. Good sized portions, plus brilliant cocktails & wine selection too. We didn’t have space for desert, but the basque cheesecake looked top notch.

Un café encantador, tristemente aparentando no estar abierto todos los días, pero con un buen menú. El desayuno era excelente, y el servicio muy amable.

Not sure where to start maybe with how incredible this venue is. We got married here on 3rd May 2025 and we couldn't of asked for a better day! From our first show around to our taster night nothing was ever to much for any of the staff no matter their position ( its rare you get that kind of service from everyone anywhere else!) every single member of staff was happy and wanting to help. The rooms are amazing our guests took virtually every room and not one complaint. We stayed there around 3 nights split across our time planning and the wedding night and never had one bad thing to say. Our day itself we got married at a church and unfortunately got delayed arriving however when we arrived it was as if nothing was wrong and they made us feel relaxed helping us with a plan to work around our day. Food was simply amazing full of flavour and massive portions worth every penny. Once again to all the staff we want to thank you all for making our day so amazing and we will be back soon 100%

Incredible and friendly staff. Stayed here several times over the years and never disappointed. Beautiful hotel In a beautiful location. Food is 10/10 and the staff are just first class. Highly recommend.

Esta comida para llevar india vende platos refrigerados o congelados, que se pueden calentar en casa. Esto ofrece una gran flexibilidad con respecto a los tiempos. En el pasado siempre ha sido una gran conclusión, pero lamentablemente ya no! No es barato, pero las porciones son siempre grandes y solían poner un número de abejas en la bolsa. A saber, popodoms (1 gratis por cada plato principal pedido) una bolsa de pakoras de pollo y una bolsa de samosas - todos los cuales fueron recibidos con gratitud. Sin embargo, los popodoms libres desaparecieron hace un tiempo y cuando recogimos nuestra bolsa ayer nos avisaron que no había pakoras libres. Todavía recibimos las samosas, pero eso fue todo. Además, independientemente de lo que pida (extras / entrantes / plato principal) solo recibirá 1 salsa de menta. Que, cuando pides varios popodoms, pollo tikkas y cebolla bhaji's no es suficiente! Puedes pedir más pero te cobrarán (a diferencia de los restaurantes de curry tradicionales donde recibes salsa de menta para los popodoms, y de nuevo para los entrantes y platos principales). Además, los platos son ahora muy picantes! En la medida en que no pudimos terminar el plato principal. Si te gusta la comida muy picante y cara, entonces esta comida para llevar te vendrá bien, pero desafortunadamente no es para nosotros. No vamos a utilizar o recomendar esta comida para llevar nunca más.

We hired Snails for my mums 70th birthday party and Fran & the team did such a good job of making this a special occasion. Snails were reasonably priced when other venues we contacted were super expensive, all we had to pay for was a buffet for 25 people. The buffet was good, the staff on hand at the party were super friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend Snails for a private function.

Fantastic food, always. Friendly and helpful service. The price increase is there only issue here.

The best Chinese around 10/10 service this is still the best Chinese food around I look forward to seeing iris and having a chat she is brilliant for the business and brings many in thank you!

It was a good old pub and lots of people were here. I had chicken with bacon, peas, and sweet potatoes. Kelly had fish n chips. Beer and ginger ale, of course. The fun part was the pringle chip machine. Too funny!!!

The food was out standing, warm professionally done. I was served by Nathan he is a credit to this store really friendly and willing to help out and also do it with a smile on his face.

Very disappointed with coffee lab as we have coffee and pan a raisin at least 5 times a week going around our local area only to be told today not selling pan a raisins anymore sorry it’s back to Costa although I must say yours were delicious !!!

My curry looks like someone had diareaha in it maybe that's the special thing in the chief special the chicken was also green although I only ordered mango n a butter chicken why would my chicken become green it looks like I'd get sick off one bite had high hopes but well deserved bad review n waste of £40

Absolutely delicious takeaway on New Years Eve. Delivered quickly, food still piping hot, everything there with a free drink thrown in. It’s really close to the centre and to the station too. Diolch yn fawr!
