Lazy Panda in Cardiff

Very poor meal this evening two meals orderd and both tasteless in flavour both very salty and the chicken meat didn’t look or taste as chicken unfortunately we won’t be useing them again

food arrived on time and was hot, my big thing was the chicken balls defo not made fresh and i would hazard to say from a frozen package

Oh dear, saltiest food I have ever tasted. Thought to try a new Chinese rather than our usual, never again. Does the chef not taste his own cooking??

Saltiest thing i’ve ever tasted in my life. Dry chips. Portions good size. Nice staff. Overall would not recommend this place.

One of very few places in Caerphilly that have mock duck. Very tasty food. Decent veggie options. Ordered for collection and it was perfectly in time wait long for us. Would def order from again.

Ordered a takeaway last night and it definitely won’t be the last. It arrived before the expected delivery time and was still piping hot. We had crispy shredded beef, salted chilli chicken and special chow mein all of which we would totally recommend. Can’t fault a single thing won’t be the last Lazy Panda we order!

Amazing food. Polite, friendly helpful staff. Prompt delivery. What more could you want from a Chinese Takeaway. Ignore the bad reviews. Would highly recommended.

Tonight was our fourth take away. Quality and quantity is best in Caerphilly. Excellent value. Do not understand why people have given bad reviews.

Ordered twice. The first meal for one. Delivery when stated. Food was lovely and hot. Now. Next day for a family celebratory meal. Food delivered pretty much on time. Everything was tepid at best. Max temp was 34C. Everything had to be put in the microwave. Not acceptable really. The tray meal. I’m sure would have been lovely if hot and delivered soon after being cooked. But no. Chicken balls were soggy chips were cold and the sauce had started to congeal. That all went in the bin. I ended up having to cook food for my children which totally put a dampener on our evening. And of course. No leftovers as we had already had to reheat our food once!! I would rather wait a little longer for my meal than be last on the delivery route to be given food that was in part inedible and unappetising.

Honestly, I don't know what high-end places these other reviewers go to, because Lazy Panda is ahead of the other Chinese takeaways here. Addressing greasy comment: I've eaten the prawn toast, which were not greasy at all. Also eaten the pancake roll, which was greasy, because it was fresh deep-fried food allowed to cool in the bag. When you order deep-fried and complain about grease, that's not the restaurant's fault. The best products are definitely the crispy shredded options, and the peking style sauce these come in is superb. I've also thoroughly enjoyed the curry sauce served here. My partner has had the omelette and enjoyed this - no grease, egg wasn't overcooked. Some have mentioned a portion size vs price issue, I haven't had any problems like this. The cartons are always very full. If you want a well-prepared meal where the cooks understand the menu, to me, this is the best place you can go to in town. Consistently good Cantonese style food.

Was looking to try somewhere different as our usual Chinese takeaway hadnt been great the last few visits, so was looking forward to trying the lazy panda as had heard good things by word of mouth... lets start with the positives... upon ordering food came delivered quick and piping hot and delivery driver was pleasant. Ordered the crispy beef, special fried rice, special curry, chips and chicken balls.... Despite the crispy beef and chicken balls being quite tasty they were very very salty as was the rest of the meal.. Special curry tasted bland and a little off colour with the meat resembling frozen ready cooked meat.. spring rolls 6 little ones the size of my finger for £6 and soggy greasy chips even the paper it came wrapped in was soaked through with grease..overall dissappointing to say the least and quite expensive with most dishes costing over £6/£6.50. Fast forward 6 hours later in the middle of the night myself and my partner up with stomach pains and having to phone in sick the next day as we both work in the food industry.... later found out the Hygeine Rating was a 2, sorry....wont be visiting here again.

Visited for 1st time tonight and won't be going back. Wish I'd gone home for a Pot Noodle. Expensive, poor taste and texture With two highly established chinese takeaways literally yards away, Lazy Panda need to up their game and quickly. Sorry but 2/5.

Phoned up here on a Friday night (big cheese was on) and ordered a tray meal of chips , chicken balls and BBQ sauce. £7 with delivery. Food arrived in 20 mins all seems ok. Opened food and very hot but it was tasteless. Chips weren't very good. Chicken balls were just ok. Just no flavour what so ever. Waste of £7

Had a takeaway yesterday spent the rest of the evening back and forth toilet. Won’t be having another

Enjoyed the crispy shredded beef and egg fried rice. Was really tasty and will use this takeaway again.

Had king prawn with black bean sauce I’m afraid to say it was tasteless such a shame I was hoping we finally have a decent Chinese in caerphilly.

I’m going to start this review with 5 stars then go from there Had the Large Special curry but was definitely not special and not Large, -1 Star Asked for Peking Sauce with the Chicken Balls but that was not allowed so had BBQ, totally...

Ordered from this new takeaway in Caerphilly. Was looking forward to something new but was dissatisfied. Chips had defo been cooked more than once and rice underdone. Overall not too good as it was all luke warm . Doubt il return sorry.
