The best restaurants in Canton Cardiff South Wales

Actually inedible food and over an hour to deliver. Cold and so sweet it feels like they’ve put sugar instead of salt. Tried to call and they said they’ll pass the feedback along apparently.

Clearly the pub was short staffed last night. We booked a table for 8 for 5pm. We ordered cocktails, Prosecco, lager etc and ordered food at the bar. One of the later people to order was told the kitchen was closed, other food came straight away and some of the party were told it would be a 30 minute wait on food. This was a little baffling as the pub was pretty empty. When the food arrived, it was appalling. Chicken kebab meat was rock solid and enough to break a tooth. The salads arrived and they were without many parts of the salad that were advertised, no quinoa, tomato, red pepper etc. the chicken Katsu chips arrived without chicken! We raised this with staff, who were all friendly, they apologised and seemed a little embarrassed. We were offered sides as compensation, but these arrived overcooked. Overall the food was extremely disappointing. It has put us off visiting another Marstons pub and will certainly not be returning.

I like coming here with a book to sit down at the table, wait for the fish to be freshly cooked and then eat my meal. Portions are the right size and it is always excellent

Ordered food at 5.50 pm and told it would be about an hour, it's now 8.45 and my food has still not arrived. I have tried over 30 times to ring and left a message without and answer or reply. My son in law attended at 8 and was told it was already out for delivery but still nothing. Cant coment on the meal as it hasn't arrived Will never use again

Poor weak drinks in comparison to other Costa's. I could barely taste the chocolate in my hot chocolate Is management money skimping by putting less chocolate (or coffee) powder in a drink. I usually use the drive thru cafe in Freemans Parc on Penarth Road but popped here for a change and the Freemans Parc one is head and shoulders above this one for quality and flavour of drink. Tables were dirty and atmosphere of staff lazy. Never again! Drive a mile around the corner and try Freemans Parc and taste the difference.

When you order a large coffee you get a large cup and it seems like regular coffee in the cup. And now they won’t even take McDonald’s App orders, so you can’t use any offers! Looks like its a franchise with poor a franchisee.. no fault of the staff. McDonald’s UK are not interested in complaints about it.

I feel it is important to share how bad my experience was with this particular takeaway. on Saturday 15th June I placed an order via there website for delivery at 10.13pm (please bare in mind that I order every single Saturday) the order went through, confirmation was recieved and payment was taken from my account. I had not recieved my order at 11 so thought I would call the takeaway...the phone was ringing but no answer (I tried 6 times and left a voicemail) Please note their website says it was open til midnight. Anyway food did not arrive even though they tool payment. I phoned back on Sunday evening 16th June and spoke to a manager who told me that I had to request a refund online, no sympathy whatsoever and said that they close at 11 when there website says different. I send emails to both the manager and the takaway with a screenshot as proof of order..in one week nobody has bothered to get back to me. what a way to treat a regular customer who orders every week. I will be taking this matter further and will not be ordering from this place again...also as I work in a hotel all promotional menus has now been removed to prevent my guests having the same experience. FUTHER UPDATE I HAD A RESPONCE FROM THE MANAGER VIA MY FB REVIEW SAYING HE WAS SORRY AND WOULD LOOK INTO IT AND GET BACK TO ME...THIS WAS SHORTLY AFTER PUBLISHING THE REVIEW (months ago), NEVER BOTHERED TO CONTACT ME AFTER THAT CLEARLY HE WAS JUST TRYING TO SAVE FACE ON FB, SO AS A REGULAR CUSTOMER THEY TOOK MY MONEY FAILED TO DELIVER AND NEVER ISSUED ME A REFUND.

Pizzas here are the best in canton and ely area. Also great prices. My new to go too👌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My wife and I recently migrated to S Wales from Hong Kong. We were delighted to find a restaurant serving authentic HK style dim sum. I suggest that those who criticise the food are those who unfortunately think what is served up in local takeaways is real HK food. Chips and curry are not Chinese dishes!

Think they overcharged us due to English barrier. We requested certain sauces but all they did was duplicate everything. So we ended up with 4 tubs of sauces instead of 2.

Visited this subway today and came across a situation which I suspect happens very often We were waiting my wife and I socially distant to be served our turn , A member of staff quite sharply told us to stand on the green floor markers which we honestly did not see ! While she is berating us ,there in front was a family of four ALL without a face mask covering being served which I politely pointed out .Despite the signs clearly stating masks must be worn not a single word was said to them ! The ignorance and arrogance of the staff and the family left us with a very sour taste despite the approval of other customers who agreed with us If staff working in these environments do not enforce what the government is telling you I fear there will be many many flashpoints in stores and eateries everywhere! Shame on you SUBWAY for not protecting customers and allowing this practice to happen Will not be returning

Disgusting food. Served by people who neither spoke the language or cared for the customer. Maybe society has become used to such terrible service and maners but a good kick up the backside should sort this place out

Hussain was really friendly and the food was delivered piping hot.
