Costa Coffee - Capital Shopping Park in Cardiff

Poor weak drinks in comparison to other Costa's. I could barely taste the chocolate in my hot chocolate Is management money skimping by putting less chocolate (or coffee) powder in a drink. I usually use the drive thru cafe in Freemans Parc on Penarth Road but popped here for a change and the Freemans Parc one is head and shoulders above this one for quality and flavour of drink. Tables were dirty and atmosphere of staff lazy. Never again! Drive a mile around the corner and try Freemans Parc and taste the difference.

Hoy fuimos a Costa temprano lo compramos y no había espacio y luego nos sentamos en las butacas en la parte del cine del lugar y nos echaron a pesar de que ni siquiera era parte de Costa y no echaron a las otras personas que estaban detrás de nosotros.

A gentleman at Costa rang me to advise they were out of stock of an item I ordered and allowed me to change it no charge. Delivery was quick, food and coffee still hot.

I keep asking them to check the coconut latte they are making because each time it’s less. It’s been explained it’s because of the froth of the extra hot but that can’t be true always because once again it’s not extra hot. And I have had yet another third off the latte cup! If you tell staff they have a face on them and start acting awkward. No more am I going there!

Another brown decor Costa. Really time for a change in your design Its dull dull dull. Coffee and service was good, but the sandwich my wife had was poor again. Have you got a new sandwich supplier?

Delicious coffee! Arrived piping hot to warm up. The mini gingerbread men was such a lovely surprise too! Happy holidays to you all!

Only take away cups available due to broken dishwasher. Like my coffee in a proper cup.

Quick service and clean and tidy

Arrived over hour and half after I ordered , changed delievery times often , couldn't cancel as it was " awaiting driver " status for over an hour .

Disappointed with the Cheese and Bean toastie with a lack of filling.. There were minimal Cheese and about 8 baked beans. Definitely won't be coming here again

Abdolutely appalled st the filth of the place. Every glass counter was full of dust, which went over the food that was inside it. Everywhere in the room was stinking. Dishes left on tables with insects crawling over the leftover food. Crumbs everywhere, and the floor looked like it was never swept. Horrendous. Will never go again and would urge any customer not to go there either.

Hard to find decent, clean and well managed Costas these days and unfortunately this one is very poor. Firstly, the young female Barista was very nice, polite and industrious but everything else was shocking. One toilet was out of order and the other toilet, disabled, was shocking... simply filthy. Every unoccupied table was cluttered with dirty cups, etc and not one table was cleared and cleaned for the duration of our 30 minute stay. There was no one queueing for a considerable time but the staff were putting away a delivery instead of clearing tables. Spent my money but I wondered why I bothered. Why are customers being treated like this ? Basic hygiene is dispicable let alone COVID protocols. I've had to clear and clean so many tables in Costas recently, before I can even sit down.

Absolutely disgustingly dirty. Every table was filthy despite no queue for drinks and food. The whole 30 minutes I was in there wasn’t 1 table cleaned. 3 staff on so no excuse. Cardiff Leckwith, Starbucks for me next time as it’s opened next door!

Not a very nice latte but lady did change it. Place full but tables dirty. Won't visit again anytime soon

Fairly quick service from ordering and receiving my hot chocolate, not very busy for a Saturday afternoon, sat outside in the fresh air as the tables inside still needed to be cleaned and cleared up.

Asked for an iced coffee with coconut milk as I'm lactose intolerant. Currently sat on the toilet crapping through the eye of a needle. I'm not saying they ignored my request but I'm a little suspicious. Great coffee though!

Sorry Costa not a good visit today,staff on counter not on their game at all.put my mac n cheese in oven but forgot to put my wifes pannini so had to wait longer.also coffee shop was not clean tables and chairs not being cleared and floor needed sweeping.need some experienced supervisor in this place coaching and guiding the staff to give good customer service. The place was not busy either,no queues so no excuse

Great Costa. Nice drinks. Staff polite and speedy service.

It's just a bog standard 'Costa' what can I say!?. They make latte but the wrong way round. Should be spun, steamed milk added to a double shot of espresso. They put the espresso into hot (not spun) milk.

Just love Costa coffee they did have lots of half price food on offer, around 4pm on Sunday, thought might be worth checking it out if passing at that time.

Was empty and no one seemed to be borthed about cleaning up.. also bird's dropping on the tables 😬

Was able to grab a coffee to go, very popular limited seating due to covid restrictions.

Drinks were fine, but the cleanliness of the place was terrible. The bits by the till couldn't of been cleaned months maybe years, there was an extremely thick layer of dust on lots of things. Not good especially in these times.

Went in for some coffee apparently you need to find a table first to sit down because of covid requirements then find 1 person sitting at a 6 person table what a waste

Customer toilet was very poorly maintained. No usable toilet paper and what there was was strewn over the floor. Disgrace!

Better than the city centre, but staff had masks off leaning under protective boarder to hear your order, defined the point really.

Nice location with plenty of shops nearby. Nice to stop off during a shopping trip to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Plenty of parking too.

It was ok. Pleasant staff. Tables a bit too close together. Very slow service, with just two serving. Coffee and cake very nice.

The woman making the coffees was on fire today! She was working so hard with lots of complex orders but was doing a fab job. My son enjoyed his child's temperature hot chocolate and the vibe of the place was warm and festive.

Poor customer service. Manger refused to let us sit outside at 2.30 as she was putting seats inside even though it was open till 5

Great coffee, had Mac & cheese for lunch. Lovely to see that available. Only issue is you are always queuing. I have mobility issues and can't stand for long. Maybe more staff are needed one to take orders others to make them.

Fairly typical of what you'd expect from a Costa. On my last visit (Post returning to level 0 restrictions), it was fairly busy, maybe about 70% capacity, but our table hadn't been cleaned down. Food and drink service were efficient and friendly enough. The selection of food available was better than I'd experienced in some other Costa locations recently. The only other negative was that the toilet wasn't being kept up to the standard I would have liked - it was fairly clean but there was no toilet paper left in the holder, which I think is an easy one to keep on top of with regular checks.

Perfect place for burned-bean-juice fanatics and anaesthetists.

Arrived on a Tuesday lunchtime at Costa Leckwith Cardiff with baby in pram. The lady at the counter ensured that another staff member cleared and reserved a table for me as I wasnt able to do this on my own. The man on table duty then offered to bring my drink and food to the table so that I didnt need to leave baby on his own. Thank you so much for the excellent customer service who made what could have been an awkward experience , a more comfortable and easier visit.
