Roscoes Bbq Grill in Cardiff

Food arrived over an hour after I had ordered. On arrival I noticed that the burger I ordered contained chilli sauce instead of relish. I would have much preferred the advertised sauce, but it wasn't too big of a deal, I was so hungry I decided it wasn't worth complaining about. However, after eating the burger my friends noticed two hairs in my food, that very clearly did not belong to me. One hair looked like eyelash, my eyelashes are long and dark and these ones where much shorter and a bit lighter in colour. My beard is short and the hairs seem where clearly longer than my beard hairs as well. After seeing this I couldn't finish my food, and considering the wait time + the incorrect burger, I thought asking for a full refund was reasonable. Upond asking for this, the guy initially refused , gesturing to me and said "look at yourself" (I have long hair). I then explained you'd clearly be able to see that the hairs on the food did not come from me, me having long hair is actually why that fact is so obvious. The man behind the counter then accused me of planting the hair and claimed I was "taking the piss" because I was somehow angry or bitter at the long wait. This obviously made me really annoyed, especially since I wasn't the one who even noticed the hair in the first place. Me and the worker got into a bit of a shouting match over this. While I won't deny I was mouthy as well, never in my life have I received verbal like this from a member of staff, and frankly it's disgusting that he'll probably still keep his job. I was called a tramp multiple times, threatened and told to watch my mouth, and told to never show my face there again, all because I wanted my money back for the wrong order that was an hour late and was also seasoned with the disgusting workers greasy hair. The refund I received was £1 short of the price I payed, but the situation was too tense for me to really worry about counting in the moment haha. Moral of the story only come here if you love long waits, hate getting the correct order, and have a special craving for a side of hair.

Wow! My partner and I visited Cardiff and was stuck for choices of food. We managed to source this lovely Roscoes, with so much variety, and not so expensive. I had ordered the chicken shawarma and my partner ordered a peri peri chicken burger meal. I have never tasted such mouth watering food with a excellent customer service too! If your in Cardiff, make sure you visit this place!

Best tikka and Donna kebabs in Cardiff, plenty of meat, plenty of salad and plenty of sauce. Quick delivery and hot. Not tasted one better.

The bad boy Bombay burger was great and literally the best deals in cardiff, I checked! Delicious food, great portions and the owner was very friendly. He noticed I was a tourist and we talked for half an hour, he was generous and gave me a free dessert. The hospitality is unmatched as well as the quality and value for your money. I will return whenever I'm in cardiff.

Really nice food at a reasonable price. Prices have gone up a bit but its probably due to the cost of purchasing items needed to cook. Really nice and friendly guys too. Like the fact that its grilled and not fried.

Whe found this amazing place. 13 of us walked in mixed adult and children, very helpful and warm welcome. Good was served quick and everyone able to enjoy the same time. Not your usual kebab shop. Very clean and kind. If whe ever come down from North Wales again. Whe will sure be visiting again.

Visited on Saturday while down with our local rugby club on tour. I have to say the food was spot on and service was fantastic. Looking forward to our next visit.

First time ordering was a bit worried on how it would be as where in Ely and this was down bay let’s say there was no need to worry at all lol food was absolutely spot on real nice flame taste to chicken massive portions so this place gets a 10/10’from us cheers Guys

Probably one of the best kebabs I’ve ever had in Cardiff. There was lots of meat, which was gorgeous! If I had to say one criticism, it would be so d prefer a bit more salad. Otherwise lovely!

I felt terrible as I previously did report the food for my own reasons, they understood and gave me 50% off my next order as promised I called them today to order and I got money off my order and I just want to say thank you it was actually delicious and I really enjoyed the food, the staff are lovely and will help you if needed.

Went to the new shop on Newport road, first visit we were told that there was over an hour wait for food - we left. A couple of days later we rang an order through and picked it up after 20 mins, was ready on the counter for us and steaming hot. The food however was AWFUL, bland, tasteless and poor quality. Would not go back here. Get yourself down city road somewhere for the real deal!

Quick order on phone and food ready on pickup .service polite and friendly. Only don't serve the burgers in polystyrene boxes as they make the buns soggy! But food good all the same . Will be back👍

Had to wait about an hour for my meal! since it was a card transaction, we were told to go through Just Eat. Now that the money was paid, Roscoe's did not want to know us. We were made to wait while they dealt with cash paying customers! Meal is usually good but the staff is incompetent! They defo don't know how to deal with customers. Rude and lacking manners....

Was really dissapointed with this place. We ordered peri peri chicken wrap meals and where to start. There was hardly any chicken in the hard wrap, it was full of salad and watery mayo. There was no peri peri flavour and it was very bland. The chips were very dry and had hardly any peri salt in it. The only thing that was nice was the chilli dip but even then they only gave 2 tiny tubs for 4 meals?

They know what it takes to grill a chicken properly here. The chicken comes out of the oven looking very enticing, sumptuous and ready for the belly. For me, Roscoes Chicken passes the vital test of the portion size...you got enough good quality food on your plate to satisfy you and gives the important feeling of "you got your money's worth ', and it's very tasty too...try the Roscoes special.

One of my favourite places in the Bay for fresh grilled chicken well-done. Depending on what you want there are burgers, wraps and various other options. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. The prices are reasonable however they do not take debit or credit cards. Cash only.

Worst experience in my life. Very bad customer service from staff. Swearing and waving his tongs around threatened to throw me out. All because I demanded my food which was for my wife who was fasting all day and they were told that too. My order was taken 43 minutes prior to my demand. Been here multiple times never had a bad meal! Half a chicken rice, chips and salad for £5 is the best value for money meal I've had in a long time! Chicken has real nice flavour and is fresh. If your a nando's type person I would say this is much better than any nando's I've ever had and it's around 3 times cheaper. It is a take away at the end of the day dont expect a full nando's service but if it's just food your comparing then it pisses all over nando's

Roscoe's is definitely the best chicken shop in Cardiff. I've been going to Roscoe's for last year and half and they are absolutely unbeatable. The best spicy, peri chicken for reasonable prices with most pleasant staff. Well done guys🍗❤️👍

It used to be a 5 star but We will never order from here again,the food was late and cold and again they did Not put the dips in or cans.

Had a delivery from this god awful place. Food was absolutely freezing, chicken was not cooked properly. Rice had burnt bits in it. Total waste of money. Delivery driver was rude and not to mention very late, when I spoke to him he just shrugged and didnt even apologise. Phoned and got passed around but still no apologies.how this place is still trading I have no idea. Only a matter of time before someone seriously I'll. Avoid at all costs.

Nothing I repeat nothing beats this place. The chicken is super fresh and the flavours are divine. Very busy for a reason. Everything is cooked fresh so best to order in advance but the wait is worth it. Prices are great too.

This is my favorite baked chicken place in the world!!!! Hand down! The day I returned to Cardiff, after being gone for two years. I quickly returned to this little gem...they had remodeled, the place looks great. The owner greeted me with a warm, "welcome back , so good to see you, it's been too long". I couldn't believe he remembered me after all of this time. I'm only here for two weeks....I hope life brings back to Cardiff again in future years so I can enjoy Roscoes again and again!!! Carry on, friends!

Highly recommended this place, food fresh, hot, delicious and best of all grilled so less fat. Love the lamb chops and spicy rice, huge portions for such low prices, staff friendly and helpful and didn't mind cooking my food to how I like it, nothing was to much trouble while I was there. I've ordered from roscoes for years every week and the food is spectacular I had a lil problem tonight and it was handled straight away with absolute perfection and I thank the staff and all employees for there great food much love, fordy al b having more this wknd 10/10

I moved to cardiff from london recently and couldn't find a decent takeaway for a while untill I came across this little gem on accident my taxi driver made the best mistake of his life he dropped me off at West bute street where they are located instead of Westgate street where i asked to go, I went into roscoes to ask to call a taxi the staff where amazing they offered me the phone even though they thought I weren't going to buy anything, that made me want to buy something I got the half chicken and rice cost me £5.25 i was shocked honestly it was the best chicken ever and the spicy rice was out of this world plus i got my food in no time at all which was a bonus, I've been to a lot of takeaways in my time but they really are a step ahead of the game from the friendly and attentive staff to execllent customer service to the reasonable and affordable prices for such good quality food can't fault them they got it spot on deffo worth a visit.

Came here with a couple of friends to try the place out. The food was extremely disappointing and you could taste that it was not fresh and was just heated in the microwave. The seekh kebab and the chicken were dry and hard. All 3 of us felt awful and sick straight away. It was our first and last time here!

Their burgers are top drawer, half chicken for under £4, homemade spicy rice that's best I've ever had and their lamb chop dishes are......... Well scrummy licious..... Absolutely abysmal quality of food provided by Roscoes. We have been regular customers for a number of years and held our tongues as the quality started to go down especially after the change in owner/ management/ chef whatever it was. This order however has left me speechless - our regular order has been spicy rice and half chicken so we are well acquainted with the spiciness of the Roscoes rice. This time their chef can’t have put on his glasses or dropped an entire pot of chilli in because it was inedible. INEDIBLE. To make matters worse the customer service turned from bad to horrendous- we made a complaint and were told we would receive a complimentary order next time. I’ve attempted to make an order since 5:30pm today and been fobbed off with excuse after excuse as to why they can’t fulfill their promise. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Laughing stock of a business!

Thought we would try Roscoes BBQ on Main Street in Keller. It was a very enjoyable experience. The food was exceptional and portions are big. The employees were always smiling and fine were dinging to the dongs playing. How nice to see happy employees 😄 This is a great place to sit and have some drinks either on the porch or in the bar.
