Meghna Balti Takeaway in Cardiff

Really friendly and polite staff. We had two Seekh Kebab, a Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi, a Chicken Tikka Makhani, two Keema Rice, one Garlic Naan and one Keema Naan. Really delicious food and it lasts for about two to three days, so it is perfect for not having to worry about cooking.

Great food, friendly staff and a variety of food

Food came really early. Chicken chat was so hot unbearable couldnt eat it. Dupiaza was the same unbearabely hot. Very dissapointed.

Food arrived hot, on time, tasty as you like. It looked like it does on the menu and a medium heat curry makes the lips tingle but no burn. Only negative would be that the poppadoms were stale.

Took almost 2 hours to deliver an order. Gave various excuses including blaming JustEat & the weather. Chips were poor, naan bread was cold and poppadoms were smashed to bits. First and last time ordering from here.

Another Year LATER" and again- I just want to say thank you very much for an excellent meal! Ive been a vegetarian all my life, and I have grown to be fussy and careful in what I eat. Your food is outstanding and very tastey. The delivery driver Is alwys on time, and a great guy. I look forward to seeing you again this weekend.

Ordered 3 box meals with keema naan chicken tikka & chips ect .. 1 tiny piece of chicken in each and no keema meat in the naans .. phoned them and spoke to manager apparently which was very rude and very sarcastic saying what do I want for £9 each box “ full of chicken breasts” . Not professional . Absolute joke and food is narsty .. stay well clear and absolute rip off

Be warned they do not accept £50 notes. I shouldn't have asked and waited for him to deliver the meals.

Just had a Naga king prawn takeaway and katchuri dansak. Both very good, big portions plus freebies! Great value. We'll be back.

Best food ever I have used Meghna balti for many years

Ordered delivery and it was super fast. My starter was good but I found the duhnsak bland and the half chips half rice with curry sauce even more bland. I'm all about 2nd chances so sure it's so local I'll definitely order only different food.

You can't go wrong ordering from the megna. So much choice and fast and friendly service . Went for the tandoori balti grill which comes with a nan bread with salad and mint sauce 👍

Just ordered from here for the first time. Delivery was quick and food was really tasty. Def on my faves list.

I have been using this takeaway for about five months and always exceptional, the delivery service is prompt and polite. Highly recommended.

Had a take away today, WOW, what a curry, Chicken Tikka main meal, beautiful tender chicken, portion of fried mushrooms, delightful, and a vindaloo sauce. Most takeaways and restaurants have gone soft and you order a vindaloo and it’s just like a plain curry sauce, again WOW what a sauce, just how a vindaloo should be hot hot hot, well done.

The biryani lacks taste and flavor!! It was a completely was of money. Also the order took more than an hour to arrive.

Still one of the best indian takeaways ever.

Ordered 2 tandoori chicken and a biriyani really waste of money no flavour for chicken no salt not spicy just like a bolied chicken only have colour but no flavour and the biriyani does not have raitha and the rice is not bolied properly really waste of time and money.

Ordered Rogan Josh which came with no spice and a Dhansak that came with too much. We like spice. I have never complained about the spice ever. called the shop to check if they'd messed up and they didn't care. Wouldn't order again.

Just tried for the first time, was wayyy to much for just two of us. Food was hot and well cooked. Definitely recommended. Xx

I've never ordered curry before cause I'm so fussy, but took a chance on these guys on uber. OMG it's banging!! Had Tikka biryani and was so nice we had it 2 nights in a row, someone who ain't never ordered curry before. Definitely worth a try despite bad reviews. We all have off days.

I have ordered over the years but this is by far the worst curry I have ever ordered, a Meghna Special Byriani with a medium curry sauce, absolutely no flavour or spice, when I called I stated that ‘it doesn’t taste of anything’ & was told ‘that is exactly what it should taste like’ disgusting, don’t waste your money

Estuve en la ciudad por unos días y estaba deseando un indio local y encontré este lugar en JustEat. Después de mirar las críticas que estaban bastante anticuadas (el año pasado) pensé en darle una oportunidad a este lugar nuevamente ya que los precios eran decentes. ¡Estoy tan feliz de haber tomado esta decisión! La comida estaba absolutamente a punto. Pedí el pollo tikka biryani, que estaba muy delicioso, estaba lleno de tiernos trozos de carne sazonada y las cebollas fritas en la parte superior también son un buen toque. El pollo dhansak también se complementaba bien con este biryani y fue suficiente para compartir conmigo y con mi amigo. El pan Nan también era bueno, ¡el tamaño de las porciones genial! Recomendaría este lugar para auténticos indios.

Discusting services, they forgot part of the meal an refused to deliver it, the man laughed on the phone thought it was funny. Food is discusting chicken an lamb was hard, rice was freezing an uncooked . Keema nan contain one tiny piece of keema, an the mint sauce litraly taste of toothpaste!! Avoid this place they do not respect their customers an food is not fit to eat!!

Called in to pick up a takeaway because my usual curry house was closed and I wish I hadn't bothered. Maybe the 3 hygiene star rating should have been warning enough... There were six of us ordering so we had a fair few dishes.... all the food was dreadful.Chewy and fatty lamb tikka and bland, oily chicken Balti. Madras was watery and oddly gritty (?) The rice was dry and cold and the chips were clearly reheated from the night before. The naans were the best part and they were average at best. Tiny portions as previously mentioned, but that wasn't a bad thing given how crap the food was. There are far better places nearby. Avoid this one.

Bland chicken tikka made with gristly and rubbery chicken. Lamb biryani was inedible. Chips were hard and dry. Keema naan had hardly any meat and wss rock hard. All in all, a dreadful place. Avoid.

Recently moved from India and was looking for some food that reminds me of back home. I've tried a lot of different curry houses here and none even come close to matching the quality Indian food you get from Meghna. They have a wide range of dishes available for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians - all of which include an authentic Indian flavour. I've had a few dishes, namely the chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, paneer korma, and all curries have tasted nothing less than brilliant. All curries paired well with a Garlic naan that was soft rather than typical naans here which are hard and have rubber-like texture. All in all, I highly recommend going to Meghna Balti for an incredible experience.

If you want a decent meal go else where!!

Ordered from here last night, it arrived earlier than expected and was the most delicious Indian takeaway I can remember eating. Will definitely be ordering again.

I order food just before they close. I ordered lamb bhuna and mix kebab. Lamb bhuna was so bland and i cannot get a taste of curry. Lamb meat was hard. Curry was just filled with tomato and onion paste sauce. Mix kebab size portion was a joke. I think these guys are ripping people off.so just avoid them .

I had used this take away for many years and, indeed, used to work there delivering food and taking orders over the telephone. This was when Shah and Islam were cooking which was a few years ago now. Since then, the food had been awful. Like a previous comment left, the portion sizes are tiny and the food generally is not up to scratch. This is such a pity as it was the "in" place at one time and orders would come in thick and fast especially on the weekend. I will not order from here again.

Ordered 2 special 4 coarse meals last night it arrived in time but when to plate up the portions were absolutely shocking there was half a mug of rice in each foil container so I gave them I ring there excuse was because it a set deal you don't get full portions which I find absolutely nonsense , I ask where on the menu did it state you get half portions he couldn't answer all he said he would put more in next time never ever again will I be ordering of this takeaway again it used to be top food and portions no more you've been warned.

I ordered from here based on the high number of ratings on just eat, but was pretty disappointed! Really greasy curry sauce, meat had an almost hard texture and naan bread was moist. The only positives were the free delivery and quick delivery time. The positives, however, were not enough to make up for the bad experience.

My favourite curry takeaway. Caters to all tastes. I tend to phone in and collect as I live locally.

Had a curry from here last night absolutely tasteless bland Awful . Have used these frequently before but won't be using them again Website kept crashing and putting items on that I didn't want.
