Standard Takeaway in Cardiff

Never had a bad meal from the standard it’s always very tasty and fresh, big portions and delivery is always prompt , can highly recommend

We used to have regular takeaways from here years ago. But small children who were Chinese food fans meant we sadly stopped. Today we were finally able to order a family takeaway...and boy was the wait worth it. I have a son who really doesn't like spice at all and his chicken tikka massala was eaten completely in a matter of minutes! The delivery was made roughly 30 minutes after ordering online and was piping hot. The extra touches of salad, onion salad and raita was received well by the family. The 4 meals were eaten with gusto. They were all tasty and the family commented how much they enjoyed them. I can't wait for my next meal from there! (Sorry no pics, it was eaten before I remembered I needed one)

Use this one regularly for takeaway/delivery and quality always great. Recommended the Maharaja Bhuna, but to be fair everything I've had from there is always good and better than some of their more expensive rivals.

Finally found a decent place that deliver everything we ordered was fantastic hot fresh and a very quick delivery don't normally write reviews but felt this needed to be recommended 5STAR

Real authentic curry, full of flavour and beautifully presented! Naan was undercooked but the rest of the meal outweighed this small disappointment. Poppadoms still in one piece! Best in curry in Cardiff! Would thoroughly recommend!

Ordered a chicken tikka biryani, madras curry sauce - onion barjees - keema nan bread - 2 poppadoms - large bottle of Coke... This was ordered at 6:30, said it would be about an hour... that's fine. Well the food came and it was not what I ordered at all, and NO poppadoms,NO Coke! Rang back and explained and they said they would send out another corrected order ASAP...this was at 7:40... free of charge and was sorry... Well at 8:20 rang again, he said order will be with you 5 to 10 mins, it actually came at just gone 8:30... The order was correct but only 3 onion barjees and were rock hard! Keema nan had hardly any filling and was cold, and counted 5,pieces of chicken in the biryani, salad was so wilted....and as a good will gesture 1 small pot of mint sauce extra... The driver was very rude and said give me back the original meal.... Which I did, I rang again to tell them about the barjees and asked how many in an order they said 4- I had 3, also about the keema nan, but who ever was on the phone was clearly not interested. Told them I had used this takeaway for many years and was told it now under new management,asked to speak to the Manager, not there, not the assistant manager - basically wouldn't let me speak to anyone!!! Told him I was going to put up a review and he went No don't, but I said the service has been atrocious, he said I will loose customers, he then put the phone down on me....WELL to be honest I wouldn't want anyone to go thru what I went thru... I will NOT RECOMMEND this take away, and will not use it ever again!!!

Well ordered a takeaway of Chicken Korma along with medium lamb curry and the usual sundries and was very disappointed. The lamb was inedible it was basically just fat. The chicken korma was okay. The chips that we had were disgusting. This is a takeaway that I think should be avoided.

the food was excellent full of flavour, slight delay on the delivery but cant complain it was a saturday but received the food piping hot, well done standard will order again

we ordered food at 8 o'clock and we're told that we'd be delivered to at half past nine. twenty to ten came so I decided to call the restaurant to see where he food was and were told that it had left the restaurant twenty minutes ago and should be round the corner. another fifteen minutes passed, then I received a notification informing me that the food had left the restaurant, fifteen minutes after the restaurant had told me that it had left another twenty minutes before. I then rang the restaurant again and they told me that it was round the corner again. another twenty minutes passed and the delivery driver rang me saying he was lost. I then had to go outside in the freezing cold rain to try and direct him to my address. not only was the food cold when it had arrived, the passenger in the delivery vehicle was smoking a cigarette which must be a breach of food hygiene laws. no apology and the blame was shifted onto me because they couldn't find the address. absolutely horrific service, will not order from this place again.

Always friendly staff, not a long wait for order, always superb quality food, very good and varied menu

Ordered a takeaway for 5 people here, for immediate collection. Had to wait quite a while, but they were clearly having a busy evening and the seating area at least has some magazines and newspapers (and sofas!). The food was worth it though - I only tried the mild dishes of lamb passanda and butter chicken, but both were as good as I've had elsewhere, as was the peshwari naan. Friends had the lamb shatkora and said that was also good, and a bit different. Generally all happy with a tasty meal!
