The service was amazing Gus was so helpful and kind to us. The food was amazing and tasty.

Worth half what we paid, £25 for two burgers that tasted cheap and shakes that were worse than mcdonalds.

This had only been open for a few weeks, and I was in the shopping centre and fancied something to eat, I was served by a pleasant girl called Patience who was helpful and cheerful, food was brought over by a lovely girl called Maya who I had a nice chat with, and she told me about the company and she was very happy and smiley. I would recommend trying this place out, the price was good and you can also have bottomless cold drinks

Average burgers for expensive price. Going to Burger King would give you same burger quality for cheaper. Carl's Jr doesn't quite fit anywhere into the convieneint vs price vs quality argument. Price is too expensive for what it is. Quality is on par with Burger King, but more expensive.

Expensive…not somewhere the average person could afford to visit often but the food is excellent burgers are made fresh to order and milkshakes are delicious! A nice place to go for a treat 😊

This popular Californian franchise has arrived in Cardiff. You will find easy to use self service kiosks with a wide variety of burgers, tenders, sides, drinks and desserts to choose from. Price point very similar to other city centre fast food establishments. Portions were surprisingly generous.

Coffee machine ran out of milk then grounds container needed emptying waited almost 10mins for coffee. Burger arrived cold sent it back second one came back and the serving tray was hotter than the burger the cheese bites had no warmth either and after the long wait for the coffee I can confirm it's not worth it sharp bitter chemical taste. I recently tried one of their chicken burgers, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The fact that their chicken is halal is a big plus for me and many others who look for that option. The meat was juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour — you could really taste the quality in every bite. The service was fast, the staff were friendly and professional, and the entire place was clean and well-managed. It’s clear the team puts effort into making the customer experience top-notch. I truly appreciate Carl’s Jr offering halal chicken, and I genuinely hope that in the future, halal beef options might also be introduced — it would make the menu even more inclusive and give more people the chance to enjoy the full range of what Carl’s Jr has to offer. The Atmosphere is so kind , and its so new . I have ordered Chicken Super Star Burger , and it was ready in few minutes and the best part was the service , i was served by Shaz , he seemed to be very kind and well mannered. I will visit this place in the future Best regards

My wife and I were looking forward to trying out this new outlet, and unfortunately, it could not have been worse. After waiting longer than we should have, our food came out with both of our meals cold, with no heat in our burgers whatsoever. I then attempted to take our food back but got completely ignored by one member of staff who looked at me and then just walked off. I eventually managed to find another member of staff, who agreed to redo the order for us. When the new order came out, it was warm but not piping with the burger being extremely greasy and barely edible. This is not what I expected for an Angus burger at above average prices. Without question, the worst place I've eaten at in Cardiff.

Ok food & service. I went to collect some fries & the double chicken stack burger or something like that plus some tenders. Wasn’t really impressed by the collection system I was order 399 & some other girls were 400 & 401. People just approached the till and asked for their order I was waiting to speak with staff me having waited longer than 400/401 but the staff member with tattoos decided to serve the girls 400 & 401 before me 399? Usually McDonalds staff will make the order bag it then shout in order for that person to collect here it’s just first come first served. The food was ok I’ll be honest fries average burger juicy but the batter/coating is very thin / strange for me it wasn’t the nicest out there. My biggest gripe really is the fries not being properly skinned instead everything is “skin on” fries that may pass in the USA but over here we just don’t like it. It may be an “acquired flavour or taste” but to us in the UK it’s just a way to “fancify” lazy cooking lets be honest. Lazy not even properly skinned fries, burgers juicy but poor coating & tenders all of that for something like £23-27? I’ll be honest the price for the quality & taste is astonishingly high I don’t think I’ll return anytime soon. I can get fries completely skin free, a burger & tenders from most places that not only taste better but are at the fraction of the price to what was paid here maybe £10-18 with delivery included. Overall the chicken is weird very dry thin gently crispy coating it’s edible but far from amazing. Fries were good except every one didn’t have the skin off. It’s too expensive & there’s the fact they do no delivery you’re in a town centre with virtually no parking even if I would or could travel to such an awkward place the food especially at that price isn’t worth it.

There are so many things wrong with this place, and it doesn't live up to the hype. - Cold, flavourless burgers. - Ran out of salt and sauce. - Slow and disorganised service from start to finish - staff are friendly, but they are just calling out random numbers regardless of sitting in or taking away. - Expensive for a what is it - a lot of claims knocking around about being better that McDonald's and at over double the price you would expect so but absolutely underwhelming to say the least.

Just an average burger that’s overpriced with another one of those over diluted diet only drink machines (a poor drink ruins your meal) had to ask for a can of coke so it was drinkable (Popeyes and slim chicken are exactly the same). Our bill for two meals was over £30. What we do to keep our kids happy, won’t be back anytime soon. As other people have said, can’t beat five guys. Staff were polite and helpful.

Angus burger was delicious, staff were more than helpful, highly recommended, music could be a bit quieter.

I love carls jr / hardee's in the states and maybe it's changed there to now it's been years for me. That said this was rough. I want to start off by saying the staff is top notch the young lady was quick to take my order at the counter for extra customisation my partner is not a fan of sauce on their burger do 5 out of 5 for that. But the burgers were not do good they felt very over cooked the cheese if you can call it that was not melted at all and just not good. The letter and tomatoes were very fresh but the onions were tiny and all from the middle if that makes sense. The cris cut fires were under cooked and not crispy at all. I'll give it another try still.

Terrible burger. Paid just under £17 for a burger meal, taste like a micro burger that had been sat under a heater all day. Fries were cold and hard. So dissapointed. Will not return :(

I used to live in California and have eaten at Carl's Jr. numerous times, but to London England in 2010. I was very surprised to see a Carl's jr in Cardiff while on holiday and had to try it. The good stuff for my review is that the staff and the young lady were great, and the customer service was 5 out of 5. The burgers weren't that great and weren't fresh, and came out kinda warm.

Always try something once. The venue is bigger then it looks from the outside and the milk shakes are nice. The price is high for what is a worse version of both Burger King and Shake Shack. For £16.75(+£3 for the milk shake) you get what is worth about £6 at best.

The burger, lattice fries and chicken were all top notch. The service from the workers was really good too. Would definitely recommend

I came on opening day to do a review for my Tiktok. The free burger was amazing and I got a bag too. When I got into the restaurant, it was amazing. Their first UK location. The only reason I put 4 instead of 5 stars was because, the QR didn't work on the app and the price are expensive. I absolutely love the food though 💚 (I'll attach the video)

Genuinely the most disappointing burger I’ve purchased in recent memory (£9.50 on it’s own)… like we’re talking Rustler quality… the price is outrageous for what you get, just get a Five Guys, or head over to any B&Q car park and grab a burger for like a fiver there, significantly better. £4.50 for a chocolate sundae that’s 2 parts whipped cream and 1 part ice cream is miserable. We went on their training day and were one of the people to receive the first 100 burgers free promotion. You can’t say no to that! But honestly the food was very good! The service was quick and I would definitely return to try more items!

Went with colleagues to try something new on our lunch break. The service was great however the burger was utterly disappointing. It only took 2mins to arrive which is great however the burger was just bland and dry. I wouldn't be able tell the difference between this and a Rustlers which is only a couple of quid. Really unfortunate. At least the fries were free.

First time I've visited this location as it's normally very busy but I came early for breakfast, breakfast stops at 11:30 so was just in time. Food was absolutely amazing, cooked fresh where you can see cooking hot and delicious. Order at the till or scan QR code on table. Quirky decor just paintwork needs updating in places. The staff were friendly and happy but unfortunately gotta mark them down as standing together chatting but could hear them swearing disappointed to put that as they obviously get on really well just don't swear in earshot of customers. Otherwise fabulous place

Used to love coming here but there was a limited range available on this day, only half of which was advertised to us by a member of staff and our chocolate shakes ordered online had to be refunded manually by staff because there was no ice cream. There was also no sauce available for the table.

Honestly 5/5 stars I don’t remember who the guy at the registers name was but he was very kind and I recommend you get the tenders because the cayenne ranch is to die for it’s delish. Also I recommend for a drink the coke float!!!

I ordered a burger and loaded fries but after a while I didn't get my food or drink. I asked what was going on. They had given my food to a different table, they then went a took my food back from that table after some person had already started eating the chips and put ketchup in the burger, they then tried to give it to me. I asked for my meal to be remade and they were not happy it 😑

Well what an experience today ordered a smokey Joe burger and fries turn up with a chicken burger. When told a member of staff that I received the wrong food they finally turned up with the correct order the burger was freezing cold and just slapped together which was fit for the bin spoke to the manager and his attitude was appalling

Después de pedir el desayuno el restaurante trató de cobrarnos más de £ 10 a mucho, Después de casi una hora tuve que ir a pedir nuestra comida, Cuando finalmente llegó estaba frío como piedra, los huevos eran como goma y sin duda no era un desayuno grande. Las tortitas estaban bien, pero servido con una crema acuosa de una lata de pulverización, la decoración ahora es lamentablemente falta y necesita una renovación. Solía ir a una cena regular en Eds, sin embargo, obviamente ha habido un cambio de manos y no para mejor Ed necesita una patada seria en la parte trasera, ahora es un lugar horrible para el desayuno (y no barato) y no volveré.

Lady who served us was really friendly, food can be quite pricey but is always lovely, a good choice food. We do like coming here a lot.

Used to be a really good selection for gluten free but I haven't been here for a while. It's much more limited and now only 2 options available. Big shame. Service was very slow even though it was very quiet. The person before us left because he'd Waited so long even though he'd paid. I ordered fries which took half an hour to come out and were cold. Won't be returning.

Can't review anything because it's saying that it's open 9 till 9 but at 9.15 its closed, need to update the times online.

-Food here was very overpriced for what you get, having to order over the phone via QR code was one of the most awkward things we had to do, during the end of the process the webpage asking for a 15% tip? We're not in America, there's nobody getting service in the restaurant . Nearly £60 for this is just a scam at this point. -Atmosphere wasn't really good, staff seemed like they hated being there, just leaning about and not doing much, also the music was too loud . -Food, everything tasted reheated and overcooked. Nothing had flavour. 2/5 Will avoid going to this place in the future .

Great burgers, and one of too-few places to serve a peanut butter milkshake. Bottomless soft drinks were good, but if staff are really busy (as they were when I was there), you might have to wait a little longer than you'd like to get a refill (but I can't blame staff, who were all super-friendly).

I first reviewed Ed's 6 years ago and I thought it was brilliant. But I had to update. Sadly I think they have really gone down in their standards. They only offer 1 vegetarian/vegan substitute for mains. This is basically a breaded chicken Quorn Fillet in a bun. Both meals ordered were just a burger a bun and a sad bit of lettuce. No tomato no relish... You also have to have a side with your burger which is at least £14. I have had better at a burger van on the side of the motorway. Honestly I would reccomend McDonalds rather than here, the food is better and cheaper. No table service any more. Tables and walls are looking tatty. The staff were OK. The milkshakes still remain good. You hardly ever see this place full anymore. I've walked past it different times of the day and there have been maybe 1-2 tables full. It's really sad because this was a good resteraunt.
