Revolution in Cardiff

Just went in for a couple of drinks, ended up having more and food. Lovely service, good prices, nice food, and tasty drinks!

Was here yesterday making cocktails with the lovely Sophia and Owen for my best friends hen do, we all had such an amazing time. Just want to say a massive thank you to Sophia for making our experience a memorable one. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested in learning to make cocktails and have fun!!

We attended on the 6th of April for a cocktail masterclass as part of a hen package. And what an absolutely amazing time it was! Sophia was fantastic and made the whole experience even better. I cannot recommend this enough. Thank you Revs for making the bride to he's day so special. The food was great and the alcohol was plenty, and everyone loved the games and cocktail making. Thank you again

We had the bottomless brunch , took over an hour for food, took about 30-40 for drinks and wasn’t even worth upgrading for the drinks either especially for the price of £45. £3 for the chips which was tiny. When complained about how long the drinks were taking they said they was busy but you could see everyone just taking their time or the drinks were made but weren’t being brought over. Pizza was lovely. Will not go there again.

I first visited here in December and had such a wonderful experience that I've decided to return. The food is exceptional and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back here again.

Went yesterday evening with some friends for the nightclub. I ordered a drink at the bar in the main nightclub room and the bartender did not hear me. I repeated my order again, clearly and loudly, and she told me not to shout at her, then almost slammed the card machine on my fingers. The escelation in her reaction frankly shocked me. I apologised afterwards and said that I just wanted her to be able to understand my order, and she looked at me blankly. As a bartender myself, I am not offended if someone speaks their order loudly and clearly to me in a loud scenario, so this treatment was rude, especially considering this was a nightclub and I was struggling to hear people directly next to me, let alone across a bar. So note for future revs goers, the bartenders are mind readers, no need to communicate clearly as telekinesis is a hiring requirement for rude bartenders who underpour you right in front of you, then ignore your unnecessary apology. Music can be hit or miss. Atmosphere was awful during fresher's week, but is better when it's a bit quieter. Oh and if you wear the discount bracelets, they don't do anything and you are charged full no matter what. So beware.

First time in Cardiff. Decided to do a brunch for my birthday and Mia was the best server. Made sure my table was served, had a smile on her face and made sure that we were comfortable. If you ever go to revolution Cardiff, ask for Mia as your server. I give her 100/10

Me & friends went to Revolution (Cardiff) a few days ago, and we had an awful experience. When one of the bouncers asked my friend to leave the area, he began pushing him back for no reason. I came near seeing this, the bouncer caught on my neck which i felt very disrespectful. We brought this up with the manager. But at this time, the bouncer was attempting to accuse us falsely. To discover the facts, we requested that the manager examine the CCTV. In response, the manager said he was unable to deal with the situation the same day. We were not allowed to re-enter the event, and there no refund. All in all, we had a terrible experience.

We booked a bottomless brunch with everyone having pre-ordered food. Completely not worth the money. Food took 1 hour to arrive and the pizzas took longer because they only have one pizza oven ( we were only told this on arrival otherwise we would have ordered other things). I ordered the Brunch Grill. The sausage was black and the bread tasted like charcoal. The whole meal was cold when it got to the table. An apple juice took 40 minutes to get to the table after being asked about twice once ordered. Ordered another one and it didn't arrive. Other food ordered was tiny portions and definitely not worth it.

Demi was amazing couldn’t do more for us, 12/10 would recommend here and Demi!

Good vibe and decent priced drinks with good drinks deals. Staff really good too. Friendly and efficient.

Fantastic atmosphere. The cocktail making session was so much fun. Great music, fantastic and friendly staff, tasty drinks. Would recommend for a staff party. Will return for a night out.

Attended for Christmas event which included cocktail masterclass which was great, and Christmas Turkey dinner which was possibly the worst meal we had ever had. Everything was cold and the roast potatoes were still hard and barely roasted. The chocolate brownie desert was nice but overall we will be choosing a different venue for our Christmas meal next year but i would go back for a cocktail masterclass again

Had bottomless brunch. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Service was good , keeping the drinks coming. Food was OK but thought portions of the brunch were small. Bit pricey I thought for food served

Booked a table for 1pm for afternoon tea, the food didn't arrive until 3.20pm. We did ask quite a few times and they said it was on it's way. We just started desert when, were told we had to move to another table as the one we were at was booked for someone else. Need to get timings right.

Full of chavs taking drugs, security was selling the drugs to them.

I was upset because I stood on glass here and it was very painful but staff was lovely however they did not give me my free vodka shot as a reward for being brave so I am a little upset!!

The burger was okay, I liked the blue cheese sauce, but the bun was a bit big and should be toasted some more. The fries with spices were really good. Had a vodka cocktail which was really nice. Nice atmosphere!

Attended a wedding reception in the upper floor which I believe is the V. I. P area normally. Ok

Nice place and great staff. Cocktails are a bit hit or miss but the long long ice tea is amazing. Service was a bit slow for 6pm on a Friday. Ordering at the table is definitely quicker (order more than one drink at a time as well ;) ). Overall I would recommend it.

Had Hen night with cocktail making, followed by amazing buffet. Great place !!!

Went as part of a work event, used the upstairs function room, had a 2 course meal and some drinks. Great atmosphere and the staff were helpful, food was nice as well. Downstairs has a good atmosphere as well, good selection of drinks available and reasonably priced for Cardiff. Worth a visit!

Food was fantastic and great value. Would recommend eating here. However... Seats were hard to get into for those not skinny and the toilets downstairs stank like urine and damp but were quite a spectacle to behold. There is an accessible toilet on the bar level that was not offensive to the nostrils. Service was slow which was weird considering there were no other customers and at least 6 members of staff! Pop around the corner of the bar before or after to see some decent wall art.

David the security guard was so nice to us and went and got us bottles of water, top employee

I was going through a rough time and was very upset and distressed. A bartender here gave me a hug and got me a drink and offered to talk it out with me. I can't put into words how deeply I appreciated that - I really hope she gets everything she wants in life haha. I really, really needed that. Amazing and supportive staff.

Wouldn’t let international students in despite them having valid ID. Once they were called out on borderline racism, the bouncers asked me to leave even though I had paid because apparently the accusation was ‘offensive’. I personally would view the racism itself as offensive - I would not recommend this club to anyone. Disgusting.

We made it for happy hour so we enjoyed 2 for 1 drinks. They were tasty and beautiful and certainly set a festive mood. Our waitress was quick and very friendly. Our food was typical bar food. We enjoyed chili cheeseburgers, classic and chicken wraps. The food was good, hot and prompt. We were there early so the place was quiet but the staff was gearing up for a party crowd when we left.

A very random choice for lunch. The food was good and amazingly good value. The place is massive and was completely empty on the Monday lunchtime we visited. Never been before but I'll consider for a cheap lunch again. Better than Spoons. Not sure about the evening.

We went for a bottomless brunch, upon arrival the server took a while to have us seated, and when were shown our seat he just pointed to where we would be seated. Whilst we were seated the server came over and there was no introduction (we did not know the name of our server from the beginning till the end of the bottomless brunch). She came over and gave us the menus, and just told us to look at it. One of my friend already knew what he wanted and ask for an Amstel but was told she can't give him his drink first and he would have to wait till she takes the first round (ok fair enough). After this the server finally came around and took our first drink order and everything was fine until during our second round, when our food came out (we were quite confused cause the server didn't come around to ask if we were ready for our food). When we got our food the food were either cold or burnt. They even made an extra (which they tried to charge us for when we were paying, even though we didn't comsume the extra food). From this point on everything was fine until the end where they tried to overcharged us. They added on an extra brunch for which they tried to make us pay. Once we explained that this was the wrong pricing they tried to refund the whole bill and make us all pay again. We were all very disappointed cause we were looking forward to this brunch.

Lovely place. Staff were nice but drinks service was incredibly slow. Food was tasty and music was quiet enough that you could hear people on the table.

Bottomless brunch was terrible. Half the food items werent available, the chicken burger was just 2 extremely dry chicken strips in a bun, drinks menu very limited and the waiters/waitresses took ages to actually ask/bring us the next round of drinks, terrible value for money. Also took us 20 minutes and 3 requests for the bill and we still werent given it so we had to go to the bar and wait for it in the end.

Went for bottomless brunch service was terrible waited 30mins before they took are order and that was only after I had to go and ask for it. The servers was ok even though the amount of people working here the service should be outstanding . Also burgers come with NO FRIES. The last time we came the service was outstanding

I came here for my birthday 12th August and it was horrendous. No organisation, I pre booked bottomless brunch, the staff were all new. They overcharged me £20 for my drinks, despite already being part of the bottomless brunch deal. The staff were rude, unhelpful and all clueless. I love revs, I come often, but this experience has truly ruined it for me. Don’t have 5/6 brand new staff on a shift because things like this happen.

..booked 4 afternoon lunch .. certainly not disappointed..it was stunning!! ..gorgeous food ..plentiful..& so well presented!! ..an absolute must! Staff were attentive & professional.. a very big thank u 4 a lovely birthday experience!

Good atmosphere for international day. Pity about the slow service at the bars. You wonder why pubs are struggling.?? If the money doesn't end up in the till then its losing sales. People waiting to be served for 20 mins to half hour is defina missed opportunity...low spend per person as failed to get served.

I organised a hen do and chose to go here for cocktail making and a 3 course meal. It was incredible! Our bartender Sam was fantastic and we all had the best time! The food was amazing too, with the exception of the salad which I was told didn't have a dressing, but the rest of it was lovely. Very good portions and it was very hot. Loved every minute!

Loved it. Although if your male it takes the staff a little longer to serve you. Might go in some high heels next time. Food great atmosphere great!

We did get off to a frustrating start, where we booked for the bottomless brunch. We payed the deposit of £30pp, the first hour into the brunch we were still waiting on our first drink order. We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco, however as previously stated we were waiting for 30 minutes to place our first drink order and a further 20-25 minutes for the order to be brought to our table. After complaining and getting the attention of staff immediately the tables turned and we were offered and extended 30 minutes for the delay, the staff couldn't have been more attentive. Would come back again when it's not so busy (lol). Thank you revolution for you consideration and patience.

Served with a smile all the way through and more than on top of drinks entire time. Been a few times but this was another level

Went on the night of Beyonce so obviously it was pretty rammed. Cocktail was nice but didn't come the fastest. Food wise I was unimpressed, waited a while and chips were cold, and onion rings were so saturated in fat there was a puddle of oil underneath. The Halloumi sticks were nice. I'm hoping it was this way due to how busy it was and would maybe go again on a quieter day

I can only say the best bottomless brunch I’ve ever had! Sophia is the most incredible waitress (and incredible person) I’ve encountered! Would recommend so much! Jamil was also an incredible waiter so I hope they get the recognition they deserve! Best bottomless ever, would go back again and again!

Avoid this place for large celebrations - despite booking well in advance our drink pre-order was lost and took over and hour to be found and rectified, we didn't end up in the area we had paid for despite reassurances we would have a booth in that area and a large portion of our drinks ended up being spilled on the floor by staff when being delivered to the table. Absolutely shocking service.

Had the most amazing lunch here today, the food was delicious and so filling - and such a great range of options. I've ran many nights out here and always have such a great time, the service is always great and they are so accommodating no matter what number are in the party. The new food menu is such good value and I'd recommend calling in for their lunch deals. I was very surprised at how good the food is and can't recommend it enough
