Easily the best Chinese takeaway I have ever bought. My daughters and I were in Cardiff for a few days visiting my son, who is a student at the university. One night, we decided to have a Chinese takeaway and ordered from the Golden Phoenix. My son collected our order and it was ready when he arrived. We ordered egg fried rice, house special chow mein, Singapore noodles, chicken curry, and satay chicken. Every dish tasted fresh and delicious, and we also received complementary prawn crackers and a bottle of Tango. I wish I lived locally, as I would be a regular customer! Very highly recommended.

Had a delicious afternoon tea here with my mum. Fully recommend this warm inviting cafe, the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Ordered a full English pretty empty waited 20 minutes or so food came out warm no toast wouldn't recommend a full English breakfast there

The chef's skills are good and the taste is authentic. The price is cheap

Popped in here during my lunch break, had poached eggs on sourdough toast, was so good. The coffee was superb too, really cool place to go if you fancy good food and coffee!

Tasty pizzas but disappointed that the crust on one of the pizzas was burnt.

So sad this place has closed and that The Meating Place will be soon!

Pizza, fries and garlic bread were good. I wasn't fussed on the chicken nuggets as I prefer mine battered. Would order again!
