The chef's skills are good and the taste is authentic. The price is cheap

Just delicious! Best Chinese food restaurant I've ever dined in. I will definitely return. It is true that the decoration is not up to date, BUT the food is just worth it despite this. The waitresses were super polite and made such an effort to communicate with us despite our language barriers. A 10 out of 10!

The interior is a bit old, you can smell that it’s an old structure it has that sick wooden smell. The food was delicious, one of the best Chinese restaurants that I’ve tried in cardiff. It also has hot pot which I didn’t expect. It’s just the interior that kept bothering me.

Almost overlooked this gem store!!!!! Super duperrrrrr delicious Chinese food ever in Cardiff I think !! Free WiFi is a plus plus ! Ngl I had the happiest tummy for the day ! Please order the cumin lamb yall , savoury af ! But the century porridge was meh. That’s all but I’ll leave 5 star becoz it’s tooooo good to be in my tummy

The exterior looks a little off but It really looks nice inside, clean and tidy. Amazing customer service and menu... Very nice

Authentic Chinese food. If you're after real Chinese food (not the typical Chinese takeaway) then this is the place to go. If you really want to experience the authentic way of eating, I'd suggest asking for the hot pot menu, which is separate to the main menu. It allows you to have a hot pot in the middle of the table and you eat family style!

Tiny portions. Not authentically cooked. Very expensive for the portion size. The place is grubby and has an odd odour.

Authentic Chinese food. Waiting staff is very friendly and patient. Servings are sizable. Only the room is very cold in winter, have to keep the overjacket on and food goes cold quickly.

Great authentic food, for a reasonable price!!

We were doing our laundry and wanted something to nibble, so we popped in and the very attentive and helpful fella at the front recommend the mapo tofu. I think it may have been my first time trying PROPER Chinese food and it was bangin. Genuinely an eye opening experience. We plan on going back very soon and having a proper meal!

厨师的水平很高，味道相对很正，不是那种西式改良的中餐。食材调味都很有限的情况下能做出这样的口味相当不容易了，极力推荐（ps口水鸡的红油还是建议用朝天椒子弹头菜籽油自己炸会更香，凉面口味的底料搭配鸡肉入不进那个味道）

The dish, “杂锦豆腐煲 Stewed Mixed Vegetables and Tofu in Pot” has no vegetables at all. Phoned them and got response “that’s how we cook it”. Hope they will correct the menu soon.

Terrible and rude customer service.

As a Chinese foodie living in the UK for 13 years and having explored many Chinese restaurants in different cities including London and Manchester, this is the most authentic Sichuan style Chinese restaurant I experienced in the UK! Highly recommended! Every dish is thoughtfully prepared by experienced Chinese chefs. If you love spicy Chinese dishes or hot pot, you won’t regret your choice.

Went during Lunar New Year day 1 (Feb 1) and was disappointed by the quality of the food and service. We had hot pot buffet for 20 pounds/pax. The restaurant kept telling us that the buffet food items we wanted were no longer available. What is the point of a buffet when you can't provide the promised food items? When we asked to refill our soup, the lady simply just brought out a kettle and added hot water instead of more soup! We were left stunned and appalled.

Delicious! Authentic Chinese food, spicy and flavorful. Try the black fungus mushroom, spicy chicken and water spinach. Also strongly suggest to eat in. Food was ready in a few minutes only.

Don't be fooled by this restaurant's small demeanour and lack of decoration. It's a true authentic taste of china at the fraction of the price found elsewhere. The chef is an older Chinese lady who works from the back. They were clearly not used to seeing westerners in the restaurant, and there was some trouble in communicating in English, but please please persevere. The congee was beautiful but if you prefer something more western perhaps go for braised beef noodles. Truly perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you all so much xxxx

This restaurant is my number one comfort food in Cardiff. Yes, you heard me, numero uno out of all the Chinese restaurants I have been to in Cardiff, this one wins my heart, soul and mind. During my three years of studies in Cardiff, I ate here more than I can remember off the top of my head. Loads of memories made here as well. Without a doubt, the food here is so tasty and delicious it will literally send your weary soul to the heavens to meet God and back down to Earth as a renewed mortal. I don't know what I am saying here but it is just so indescribable. Enough said. Whenever you feel down, rejected and heartbroken, just come here and order the braised pork belly, double cooked pork, salt & pepper squid and Mapo Tofu and your palate, stomach and soul will be rejuvenated. Basically anything on the menu and off the menu taste good, the hotpot too.

Enjoyed it to our hearts content .. the new management is very welcoming (visited the location for the first time after COVID). The quality and taste of food has only improved which was previously quite good. I don’t know of any other SICHUAN style Chinese which is better.

Tasty food, but it's absolutely swimming in grease. No decor/ambiance to speak of. Don't accept card. Not great.

Amazing service and chefs. The same good chef from what was known as Fairyland before has stayed. Good prices and delicious dishes, never failed! Great consistency!

Using one hour to cook one course? So ridiculous, from 6.10-7.05pm, I only get one course, and 10mins later, another one. The kitchen is so dirty, in another Chinese restaurant, 10-25mins is enough! If u don’t know how to manage, pls learn! If lack of one cooker, pls employee! U had earned a lot, pls deal with it! Boss! 中国学生选这家的原因是什么？口味比较普遍，一个小时上菜，真的是有够可以，厨师和服务员又忙得很辛苦，人手不够都到这地步了，难道就不能多请一个人吗？或者，能不能多做点半成品，或者...明显的管理问题啊，卡迪夫这么缺中餐吗？去其他地方看一下好吧，管理这么差，厨师做饭再好吃也不会背你这个锅

Great, authentic food at decent prices. Cash only. If adventurous westerners, you can try frog's legs, tripe and pig intestines but don't worry, the menus have English so you know what you're ordering! Wines and beer available

Was a little intimidating walking in and realising how authentic of a Chinese restaurant it was, Having always shyed away from REAL Chinese food, but I must say in this one meal I have been converted, it was delicious fresh and well cooked not sure I'll be able to have a anglicised Chinese again ! Shame there was no wine though
