I enjoy a stroll round the garden centre looking for ideas about what to plant. Staff are helpful if you have questions. There is a good sale of ladies wear at the moment. Many people enjoy meeting up in the cafe and there is good parking too. Movin on... to March 2025. I don't enjoy visiting as much as I used to. The focus has moved off the plants and onto things I am not really interested in and it takes too long to work through all the extra areas . I am not one for sitting in a cafe eating expensive cakes having a gossip. I miss the Edinburgh Woollen Mill and don't care the new clothes area. Their clothes sizes don't match my reality. The butchers is expensive too though they have some nice things. The plants are still good but I couldn't fine Aqualegias today and there was nobody to help. I feel that you have redesigned the centre to suit people with different tastes from mine. I don't find it a restful place to be now.

Have a soft spot for garden centres and this is up there with the best its not everything remotely related to gardening, pets, pots, plants etc etc. Theres a massive selection of food I didnt get a chance to try the cafe food as it was full but it looked fantastic. Only thing I didnt like is some products didnt have the price on them.

My local garden centre, have been a few times and generally quite a nice place but some feedback: Pros - Great deli range, food from takeaway part and food shop is very good and great for presents - Cakes are delicious - Plants are lovely and so much choice of everything - Staff are really friendly and always helpful - Restaurant is huge, always space Cons: - Tills are a hike away from the main shop and if you don't buy anything/just go to the restaurant you still need to leave through the tills which is an unreasonable walk away. I understand it's a good way to make people see the whole store and get people to buy more but if you want to pop in and out it's very inefficient and very annoying - Food in the restaurant isn't amazing and prices are quite high for the quality. It's fine for the odd breakfast but it's never been amazing.

Nice place. Like going there, although not visited for 4 years since covid. There was a lot of silica gel on the floor by the plants just before the entrance to the main hall when we visited. Not sure where it came from or how the packets had broken. Needed to be careful as it's poisonous to dogs and ours is terrible for picking things up off the floor..

The garden centre was incredible. The Christmas shop was stunning I could've spent hours and hundreds of pounds shopping. Unfortunately it wasn't autism/ ND friends at all... They had awful LOUD adverts playing, different music playing from each department plus all the Christmas toys were turned on each with a different jingle. It was sensory hell, I left after minutes and empty handed. Really disappointing for what should have been a lovely afternoon shopping.

Very popular Garden Centre , sadly, the queue to order food is at least 20 minutes long and the wait for food to arrive at the table is at least another 20 minutes. The staff seem to be not hugely knowledgeable in the houseplant area, and beware of pests. (i got 10 plants, 2 out of them turned to be infested with thrips and fungus gnats that I only noticed when I brought them home - luckly I was already knowledgeable enough to know to not introduce new plants to my collection right away but quarantine them away for a while) My advice to beware of that and reasearch yourself as the help will unlikely be adequate. 4 stars feedback is for the choice of plants and overall quality of majority of plants that are healthy. EDIT: REPLY to Owner - Thank you for your reply, I highly appreciate it. Thrips were on Kalanchoe Thyrsiflora and fungus gnats were in Croton Petra - both I bought on 17th Dec 2023. On my last visit I also noticed somone crawling at the bottom of little Alocasia Cuprea (in the far corner where Dracaenas, Alocasias and wall with lots of large pots), some kind of little fly. I'd place my bet for it to be fungus gnat, I didn't get this plant as , whoever that was - it kind of scared me. ( I'd be glad to be wrong, but currently after that my experience in Dec. I'm extra careful and I don't buy a lot of plants I otherwise want as I'm being extra suspicious). Many thanks! EDIT #2: 13 nov 2024 down to two stars because aphids infestation in houseplant section is out of control since September on Alocasias! 😒please sort it 🙏 (as well as mealy bug presence)

A lovely place to browse and stock up on garden plants, statuary, flowerpots etc. In addition to the actual garden centre there is a shop and cafe. The shop sells some beautiful things - from garden tools, garden furniture and barbecues to household items like candles, reed diffusers, artificial flowers, clothes, food...the list goes on. Also onsite are a few retail outlets including Bonmarchè and aquarium supplies. Well worth a visit ( or two). My only criticism is that some of the items seemed a bit expensive, but there are plenty of reasonably priced items too. Update. This Garden Centre has been refurbished quite dramatically. Some of the retail outlets have gone but there is a Lakeland shop there now. The cafe seems bigger and the store looks different. The same sort of items are stocked but they are better displayed . There is also a food hall selling all sorts of food items.

Nice place let down by lack of organisation and staff in all departments. No one to be found in outside garden area and had to go well into main building to find someone. Some plants not bad value for money but some also very overpriced. Only 3 main tills open and ridiculous queue. Only 1 till open in restaurant with another very, very long slow moving queue. We left the restaurant without ordering. Car park and shop rammed but serious shortage of people serving. Priority is serving people at tills and not filling up and cleaning shopping baskets. They want your money but are not providing the service. I really will not be returning. Smaller garden centres are much less stressful.

Plus dogs love dogs but never understand why they are brought into or allowed in restaurant. Used to be at least a set area today they were dotted around. Thank-you for your response but if you must allow dogs you need to clearly sign post the area. Rather than rely on staff to point to a vague area down the far end. Food hall is also a risk. Nice spacious garden centre with reasonable cafe/restaurant and plenty of moochable bits and bobs. Would like to see more locally sourced products in the homewares and gift areas but what's in store is of good quality and therefore not a disappointing browse. Cafe/Resto note: It's a "wait to be seated" situation, which is easily missable as the greet table is quite a way in past the counters. Choice of casual "coffee & cake" dining (and we all know I love coffee and cake) or full meal service. Lots of zones to browse, such as the watering stuff, plant food, stuff, bird feeding stuff, hand tools and stuff... LOTS of stuff. Indoor plants are plentiful and staff are on hand to offer friendly advice (about the plants I mean; not so much your bunions or tips on car insurance). Outside area is nice and big with a huge selection of plants, accessories, and ornaments. Take a floppy hat if it's sunny; you'll be out there for a while. Accessible via the outdoor area is a Maidenhead Aquatics store for all your aquatic requirements, including plastic ducks which are - of course - vital. Parking is plentiful and mostly on tarmac; overflow is on hard loose ground. Loads of room, but I imagine can fill up on high days and holidays. There's a one-way system in place by the way (just saying...). Like my reviews? Please hit the "love" button 🙏🏻🙂

1st visit to see "Heartbreak" Tom Petty Tribute Band. An intimate old theatre which was ideal for the show. Unfortunately, we arrived around 9pm as is pretty much the standard for concerts only to find that the show had already done one half and were having an intermission. How disappointing. No indication on the tickets to say that. All three of us felt cheated of half a show. The band weren't bad to be fair but just missed that spark. I'm sure in time that will be addressed. Be warned re kick off time at this theatre !!!!!!
