Very warm welcome atmosphere. Staff extremely friendly and courteous. Plenty of seating available for everyone. Well worth a visit

A great live music venue. A good place to see good bands. Tickets aren't too pricey. It's a good room with good sound. I do like it when the balcony is open which can offer a place to sit and watch the bands. As is traditional at live music venues the toilets are disgusting and the drinks are pricey.

Had a great night seeing Nick Cage against the machine. The bar staff were brilliant

Great Music Venue. Always has the best bands, gives support slots to local up and comers, and has a great atmosphere.

Saw The Felice Brothers there, fantastic venue. Beer reasonable prices.

I absolutely love this venue for gigs , my opinion they have the best tribute bands I've ever seen and the atmosphere is always amazing and the tickets are always reasonably priced.

Loved watching Gerry Cinna man, nice enough venue but wish it was a bit bigger so you could get a better view of the stage. And think security could do better at stopping people lobbing pints.

Nice sized, not too huge, which means you can get a drink without waiting ages like other places. Parking is fairly easy locally.

Small comedy/entertainment venue in Cardiff suburbs (Albany road) you'll need a bus or cab as trains don't go near it. There's only 2 pubs nearby as it's a very ethnic area.

Good venue for music but the drinks available were very poor. Wine in a tin only, no decent beer and awful cider - all overpriced.

I loved this venue! Really great sound. Beer a tad pricier than the pubs and bars surrounding it but not unexpected and decent choice. Would deffo recommend if it's on your bands gig poster!

Easily one of the best music venues in the city. Great bookings and the building is perfect for intimate gigs. Staff are always great and reasonably priced drinks. If you’re in Cardiff, go here!

Saw music students from Bridgend college, they were brilliant and The Globe suited their music talents. The Globe is a very intimate theatre with just the right amount of room for up and coming music.

Speake In Tongues event was inspired. Talking Heads still Remain in Light.

The best small venue in Cardiff. Always got good bands and events on, and when there's a crowd in, the atmosphere is awesome. The type of place that every music fan should be supporting. Got to be there early if you want a spot on the balcony though!

Great intimate venue for a gig. Friendly bar and security staff. Extra star for having proper alcohol free beer, Shipyard, instead of usual fizzy pop like Becks Blue or similar.

Love going here, we saw Bruice Juice and if you get there early, there are some seats upstairs and you get a really good view.

Great little venue, holds about 350 people, so nice intimate gigs. Staff are friendly and security are top guys too. Wanna see a gig up close and personal, go here.

I saw Katie Malco and Bob Mould here. It’s a nice little venue. The only drink they had really was Brooklyn Lager which was ok. The staff were cool and the venue was intimate. I enjoyed the show.

It needs a make-over! It smelt very musky and like cat wee it felt and looked dirty everywhere you looked the toilets included. The seats and chairs we're disgusting and stained and uncomfortable and very very warn out. I don't think it's been changed since the 80s in every way. The band Beans on Toast were amazing, but I wouldn't go back there to see anyone else that's for sure, and also, it being a cashless business is very sad and annoying tbh. You can get free furniture on Gumtree or Freecycle in much better condition that could easily replace the old, uncomfortable smelly furniture there. It was really disgusting, and I've never seen a place so run-down in the entertainment sector there's no need for it these days. It's a shame it's been allowed to get that bad.

The venue is very run down, grotty, and dirty stinking toilets, awful bar service, and cheap beer, at expensive prices. Such a pity because the musical acts are always good. Plus they should take cash, it's a discrimination to those who can't have bank accounts, or elderly who are happy using cash.

A little gem of a live music venue on Albany Road in Cardiff. It's a compact space in a former cinema, standing and bar downstairs, small balcony with chairs and a few tables upstairs. Great view from everywhere. Door staff very friendly.

A great little venue. Seen some brilliant gigs here over the years. And wine in a cam. What's not to like about that.

Really small, intimate venue which is great for live music, as you're up close and personal to the act as humanly possible. Some of the downsides are queuing outside in the street, especially when its raining and gaining entry by scrolling through paperwork, really slows the queue movement down. But always nice to see these old, archaic venues still going. The car park wasn't far from the venue either. Albany Road has a whole host of bars and takeaways, so eating and drinking either before or after is a piece of cake.

It's quite a small place and can get a bit crowded for busy gigs. Very hot in there in summer too as no aircon. But you can get close to the stage and they have some great acts and tribute bands. Some are expensive for what they are though. It's much better now they have proper draught drinks instead of cans, not a great selection though, and not cheap! Brookland IPA is the only ale available but it's good.

It's a bit rough and ready which is fine, only 3 stars because I did email and message twice to see if I could make sure my disabled mum (who cant stand for long periods) could get a seat on the balcony for a gig and I was ignored.

EIGHT POUNDS for a medium CAN of wine is criminal. It was also so hot in there I think public heath would have had an issue. They’re lucky nobody had a thermometer. I felt soooo bad for the act who had sold tickets for their show. People left really swiftly because of the hot and expensive venue. Such a shame!

Music was great (Big Mac's wholly soul band) but lack of Air Conditioning made the venue a very hot and sticky place!

What a great venue for live music. Small, intimate, and boss. From the outside, you don't expect much but when you go in, you realise it's a perfect venue for a gig. Drinks weren't too expensive and there's a decent selection there. First time going there and already can't wait to back. Will be keeping an eye on the schedule.

Just wish there was a bigger venue for these type of bands. It's a bit tatty, small, bar is average and really doesn't show off the quality of the bands that play there.
