The best restaurants in Beaumaris Isle of Anglesey North Wales

A nice tasty lunch for the family in cosy surroundings with friendly service. All enjoyed the soup and toasted sandwiches. Some lovely looking cakes too though we didn’t have room on this occasion.

As guests at the hotel, we visited on our last night with no problems being seated without a booking. We both had starters and mains (steaks) and all good ordered was absolutely beautiful. We came away very full and very impressed.

The staff here are an absolute dream! Chloe and Adi especially were so helpful. Even from looking after a crying child (who had pepper in her eye!) to making sure we all had our drinks and we’re happy. best service in Wales!!!

Let me start with the staff who were very pleasant and friendly. That said, the food offering needs to up its game. The Anglesey egg starter was just OK, potato cake base was not crisp or browned, cheese sauce was split and the “crispy” leeks on top were just stringy and tough. £19 for fish and chips is at the pricey end for a pub and it wasn’t even mediocre, the fish was oily because it hadn’t been drained properly and the almost cold chips would have embarrassed Wetherspoons as a portion. The butter bean “cassoulet” that came with the chicken didn’t contain a single bean, not one. Chef apologised when this was pointed out but perhaps he/she needs to look up what a cassoulet should resemble. What we got was a kind of tasteless tomato and veg pasta sauce type creation, the chicken was well cooked though. Needless to say we won’t be rushing back.

We visited on Easter Saturday and was pleasantly surprised that we were able to get a table (granted it was 230pm, so we probably missed the lunchtime rush) The lunch menu was extensive and proportions were really big. Food was very tasty and I can highly recommend the pub for eating and even if you just want a pint. There was a little miscommunication at the bar, and my partners order was incorrectly taken, however, they promptly swapped it for the correct order no questions asked and we did not have to wait too long either. I had the cod burger, as you can see from the photo it was not small!

Spotted this on my wander around Beaumaris selling ice cream. Went in and although empt, had to wait to be served. Ordered my ice cream cone but unfortunately never got to taste it, as I was aggressively attacked by 3 seagulls as I crossed the road outside the cafe! Beware those gulls and perhaps staff should warn customers, as I’m sure I’m not the first person to experience this horrific act.

I think their triangular brownie with M&Ms on top is the best brownie I've ever had. The keralan style spiced vegetable pasty is also absolutely superb.

The food was amazingly tasty, I had the Pizza O something with vegetables olives and mozzarella. Mom had the lasagne with salad and garlic bread. The minced local beef tasted so fresh and the ragu sauce with it was made from scratch or so it tasted to me. The restaurant is cozy and decorated nicely. The staff were very attentive and answered my numerous questions I had about menu items. They do breakfast, lunch and also dinner I believe with breakfast items available till late afternoon. Would highly recommend.

Bought some chips and they were extremely underwhelming. No flavour, most bland chips I’ve tasted considering I asked for a good amount of salt & vinegar to receive the chips with nothing at all. Not worth the money considering it was quite spenny for plain dry potatoes

Found this lovely takeaway by chance. The food was excellent and piping hot. Really good value for money. They even gave us prawn crackers. More than happy to recommend.

Chips are awful. Witnessed the bullying of one staff member to another. Male with tattoos saying horrible things to an older staff member. Honestly enough to make me uncomfortable 😕.
