Can not fault my stay at minffordd hotel right at the foot of cader idris, a warm comfy sleep and one of the best breakfasts I've had, quality produce piping hot and fresh, old world charm to the Minffordd hotel and the hosts Gordon and Michelle are very accommodating and friendly. If your Passing by OR trekking the minffordd path and need a place to stay you will no be disappointed at the Minffordd Hotel.

Not sure why others have posted about staying here as it appears this place has been closed for a while and a sign is posted on the door, closed and available only by appointment. The grounds are breathtaking but neglected probably for maybe a year or two. The building is majestic from the other side of the valley.

Fantastic service and gorgeous food as always. We visited porthmadog and our first destination was allports chippy. I would like to thank the 3 young gentlemen who served me, they were fantastic and they were very welcoming. The food we had was cooked well, and so tasty. My brother had sausage and chips, and the chips were soft on the inside and lovely and crisp on the outside. Myself, my mother and my other brother had the Southern fried chicken breasts. Our favourite go to food from this great chippy. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavourful, with a lovely crispy Southern fried coating on the skin. I will definitely be visiting here again in the near future. Thanks again lads .

Looks better from the outside. A bit unprepossessing on the inside. No need to book though. Nice moules frites. Depressingly they didn't know where the mussels were from- they are cultivated in the Menai trait and the Conwy estuary, but these could have been from anywhere. Never mind. Good and cheap and a nice bottle of inexpensive Rueda.
