Great pub, on the whole the food was very good. I would highly recommend. Good beer selection as well, local beers from smaller breweries instead of the big names.

Great atmosphere, excellent ale. Nice staff. I didn't eat there but from what I saw, the food looked delicious and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Unfortunately the pub has has gone downhill. Toilets not cleaned properly, food that was bought out looked dreadful. Few years ago this was a decent place. Not anymore. Shame

We where told that it was a good place to eat and we weren’t disappointed. We had the moose ribs and chicken. The ribs were perfectly cooked and the chicken was very good. A nice place with good service. Can recommend to stay for a bite and a drink.

Nice pub,friendly staff good choice of beers .In the centre of Porthmadog can be a bit noisy but close to all amenities.

Not my type of pub smell of.food too overpowering

Pros: Free on street parking. Friendly bar and waiting on staff. Decent quality beer. Cons. Heven knows why it's called Australian Inn. Both the menu and daycore have zero reference to Australia. There is a odd reference to Canadian Moose on the walls? Ordered ribs which were two tiny bits if unidentifiable meat which were seriously over priced at over £17. Stop serving food at 8pm. Won't be rushing back there ant time soon. Your call.

Barman very friendly and personable on arrival. Literally nothing was too much trouble. Ordered the beef and trimmings. One of the best I have had in a long time. Everything cooked fresh….just the way it should be. Will be back

Dog friendly, bear in mind it’s a small and busy pub. Maybe not for anxious or unpredictable dogs. Monday night late September. Hadn’t planned to eat here but pleased we did. An array of beers that are brewed by Purple Moose. Food excellent and variety good. Staff are all very pleasant, friendly and welcoming. Recommend booking, especially in season and weekends.

Sunday roast ran out of Yorkshire puds, only got 2 roast potatoes. 2 different drinks served with bits floating in them. Won't be going back.

Terrible place. Booked a table for food for 8.00pm. Arrived at 7.50 to be told we had no table. People who had booked the table for 6.00pm never arrived till 7.30 but they still let them go to our table and binned us off into the corner by the toilets. The late comers should have been told the table was booked for.8.00pm but that wasn't the case. We did purchase a drink but then left anyway as it was full of drunks using foul language. We saw lots of families complaining but nothing was done. Would not return.

This is a great pub and somewhere you have to spend time with a pint or two. The real ales are wonderful, food great and staff friendly and helpful. We always stop for a beer when in town, no matter your taste you will find something to love.

Came for a 6.30 booking on the 28th of July and left at 8.30. Service and food was dreadful. I came in with 4 kids and waited 1 hour for food, only for half of the food to come out and the kids had to wait another 10 minutes. I would never recommend to anyone. Dreadful experience

Brought the family along for food with the sneaky chance of a few pints as I love a good tap room. Tap room didn't disappoint with a great selection of Purple Moose beers and several other options. What did surprise us was the quality, flavour and presentation of the food. Really blown away by how good it all was. Will definitely return and I suggest you do too. Dog friendly which also helps.

Booked for meal on last night of holiday after having a few beers there through the week - food and service were first class - beer was on top form - prices are fair - highly highly recommend

One of the most exceptional meals I've had in a very very long time and i have eaten in some great places. The Ribs and the St.Davids chicken was out of this world. The High hops IPA was delightful. A dining experience i will likely never forget. I would travel f on South Wales just to eat here and have a pint. The prices were as fair as they get.

Always handy to know a bar that opens at 11:00am! The Blodwen Golden Pale was on fine form and only £3.90 for the scoop. Plenty of charging posts around but phone signal (O2) is virtually nil unless you sign up to the 🛜 app

Dived in out of the rain, food was badic, bland & a disappointment. Toilets were not clean & had no toilet paper. Floor wasnt clean either.

Just popped in for a quick drink, but when I saw the menu, it was very tempting. The place was extremely busy at lunchtime and we managed to get a table. The food was excellent, and the staff were great. Definitely recommend and will certainly return in the near future

Excellent ales as would be expected from an on-site craft brewery. Staff friendly and helpful. Comfortable large tables with booth seating. Dogs welcome and many were present. Food was distinctly average - for £15 each, expectations were higher. We mistakenly picked up the evening food menu at first, which is more varied.

I had the vegan burger, and it was one of the best burgers I've had. The atmosphere was relaxed. And the staff were awesome. I would recommend booking as there aren't many tables.

Staff need to pay more attention to what customers ask for. Three times asked for spoons. 1st time 2 spoons, 2 forks. 2nd time 1 spoon, 3 forks. 3rd time, nothing. But thanks for the experience of eating ice cream with a fork. The food was OK and perfectly eatable. One of the meals was burnt, but staff offered free pudding. Overall, pay them a visit and make your own mind up. 6 people £180.00 with drinks.

mate needs a parma on the menu to be true blue. But good service and nice cider! Beer garden needs some love.

This is the pub run by the Purple Moose brewery in Porthmadog, so the range of beers, in particular the Snowdon, is excellent. The food is good too and there are vegetarian options.

The staff enjoyed their loud music but nobody else did. Food OK, beer alright but not a pub for anyone over thirty. Not a good experience.

Can only rate this middle diddle as I only popped in to meet friends for one drink. I'm sure it is a popular pub in port madochs town centre. My first time of visiting the town.

Fab pub! Very friendly and helpful staff. We booked online for Sunday dinner and it was epic! Kids meals were good as well. Nicely spaced out restaurant so you don't feel like your sitting in each other's laps! Lots of their own Purple Moose beer on offer! Would highly recommend! Our favourites the lamb Sunday dinner and the elderflower beer!

A really great non-chain pub with fantastic beers and one of the best burgers I have had for years. It was so tender and tasty! A bit rough & ready for my liking, but couldn't fault the beer selection from Purple Moose and an extensive food menu.

This visit really enhanced our visit to Porthmadog. We went for lunch with our dogs and were welcomed from the minute we stepped in. staff were fantastic sitting us quickly with drinks and meals arriving promptly dogs got fresh water and biscuits too. Food was great quality so all in very relaxing, staff made us feel at home definitely one for a return visit.
