The best restaurants in Llangollen Denbighshire North Wales

Called in Saturday at 5ish without a reservation, were shown to a table upstairs and made to feel very welcome We shared a meat based platter for 2 (tapas style), fries and couple extras Was all delicious and served with a smile Thanks Chapel St Bar & Kitchen

Visited here a few years back and remember being very disappointed with the oggie that I bought to take out. But, hey, time had passed and I was hungry after a bike ride, so I chanced another one. I shouldn't have bothered - rock hard pastry, virtually no filling or taste, and expensive! After a couple of bites I threw it in the bin. I won't make the same mistake again.

It was very shut during my week long stay in Llangollen last week. What Pub has it as "Temporary Closed, reopening 2021" and as we are now deep into 2022 in the height of the holiday season when you would assume if it was opening at all it would have done it for the holiday crowds, I guess we can assume this one has gone for good. Real shame as LLangollen is not overly blessed with good real ale outlets.

Dee Pizza is always a great place to get a takeaway. Normally have Burgers and Chips but the Pizzas are really good. Get yourselves down here if you’re hungry.

Absolutely pathetic, glacial service. In fairness to them, not helped by rediculous members of the public who can't decide what they want until they arrive at the till, then spend 10 minutes placing their orders of stuff that takes ages to prepare.

Great service and food, ordered for delivery and the food arrived early, it tasted great and is good value for money. I would recommend

Superb deli located just off the main street, bought numerous items from the owner who is very knowledgeable and recomended some local pate and cheese and coffee, we will shop here whenever in the area

Fabulous tea rooms in a unique location with beautiful views of the railway and the River Dee. The afternoon tea was delicious! We came yesterday for our Mum’s birthday and unfortunately she became unwell during our time at the tea rooms. The staff were lovely-so helpful, kind and couldn’t do enough for us, which we really appreciated during a stressful time. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again. Thank you again for all your help and kindness.

We went for afternoon tea and we were not disappointed. Lovely selection of freshly made sandwiches and cakes. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again.

I just went in and purchased some Eccles cakes as I'd not seen or eaten any for a long time and very nice they were.

A great, friendly pub serving a very wide selection of real ales.

Went here without knowing about it but what a lovely meal! I can’t recommend it enough. We tried to go on our second night again as it was so good but sadly it closes early part of the week. The lovely lady serving us couldn’t do enough for us. A little longer to wait for food but as it’s all cooked fresh to order it’s a 100 % worth it.

Came here for a quick drink after a long walk along canal from Llangollen towards Pontcysyllte aquaduct. Friendly staff, cosy but upmarket decor and setting.

We order once a year to see if its gotten any better then the previous year. It hasn't. Watery & bland. Standard. Plus a missing item. We'll try again next year 🙄
