The best restaurants in Llangollen Denbighshire North Wales

There is a wide choice of pizza, pasta and sharing meat dishes on the menu for dinner, but they also open for breakfast. Non-alcoholic Peroni available. the range of sweets looked really tempting. A very good experience.

No strawberry syrup for the strawberry daiquiri for a cocktail bar really not good enough...!

Unfortunately closed when we visited, but when we tried to park in the car park to go for a walk the landlord was quite rude to us, particularly when we had made an effort to park considerately and without causing inconvenience. It would be nice to go back at some point and try the pub itself, but a foul-mouthed, rude landlord is not a great advertisment for a pub closed under unfortunate circumstances!

It was nice to sit with the steam trains behind having some lunch. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was fine

I do agree it was a lil pump. Frankly I couldn’t put it better but I disagree with the star rating. I was lucky enough to get an exclusive NYE ticket as 2018 turned into 2019. The hospitality couldn’t have been better! Led and his lovely lady (Jill I think) couldn’t do more to look after their guests. Fantastic night and I can’t wait to have the chance to return! Also if stuck for directions it’s the building with the scaffolding opposite the Co-Op. couldn’t be easier to find!

A must visit place in the town for a good coffee or breakfast served by lovely staff.. definitely recommended…!

Absolutely beautiful food, i ordered Salmon & hubby ordered Sea Bass, both of us ordered a side of Diane Sauce with the plates came with Stem Broccoli Carrots & Mash Potato.

Lovely tearoom with a central location. Prices were very reasonable. Staff friendly and attentive and everything was clean. Good vegan options. Only slight gripe was that the "vegetarian sausage" isn't actually sausage but veggie fingers in breadcrumbs. Not sure why this is described as sausage! My son didn't like it because he was expecting a sausage. The chips and bread were very nice though.

We were visiting Llangollen for the first time and was looking for something to eat as we were starving.. We are picky eaters as mostly these tourists places are far from good and tasty food. We saw this bistro and went in. What a nice surprise! Food was really tasty, nice and professional service. At the end of the meal we got 2 espressos which were best we had in a looong time. Will definitely come back whenever back in Llangollen 😊 the only downside was a bit dated and not so welcoming decor but other than that I have nothing bad to say.

Everything in this cafe was lovely. The food was good and the staff were obliging. We were caught out by the cash only policy, though. Unfortunately, there is no indication of cash only, prior to entry, and even within the cafe, the signage advising of this policy is not obvious. However, staff advised us that there is a cash machine available within the cafe. BUT, the cost to use it is approx 4 GBP!!! For those of us from Australia, this is almost $10. We had no choice but to use it🤔

The best. Chips are second to none. Travelled 100 miles for their food and again it did not disappoint.

What a find! This fabulous find is just off the High Street. The food was delicious and all sourced locally. Two of us had the mozzarella and roasted veg jacket potato and the other had the goats cheese and roasted veg panini. The roasted veg was exquisite especially the mushrooms.Ran by a mother and daughter duo, whose sense of humour was refreshing and nothing was too much trouble. Even when one of our party asked for a glass of white wine, the owner popped to the shop to buy a very nice bottle of white. We were made to feel very welcome and would love to return to sample the afternoon tea.Thank you for a lovely experience and afternoon!

Visited here a few years back and remember being very disappointed with the oggie that I bought to take out. But, hey, time had passed and I was hungry after a bike ride, so I chanced another one. I shouldn't have bothered - rock hard pastry, virtually no filling or taste, and expensive! After a couple of bites I threw it in the bin. I won't make the same mistake again.
