Have a creame tea, they are fantastic and there is a choice of scones and jams. The Welsh cakes are also extremely tasty 😋

Really dissappointing. The cheapest of cheap ingredients are used...and not for the cheapest of cheap prices! Just because it's a prime location they shouldn't be able to get away with it. Apparently new owners. Instead of trying to establish something quality, to be proud of, they are cutting corners and providing customers with awful food. £9 for Welsh rarebit which was 1 slice of the cheapest bread (probably mothers pride) and some coleslaw that was so low-end it was inedible. The full Welsh breakfast seems like good value but it's a plate of the cheapest quality meat ....yuck! Cappuccinos were watery and horrible too. Such a shame, was hoping it was gonna be a regular haunt as I am local but I will not be going back unless they get their act together. Theres much better food on offer in town.

What a lovely place to stop. Staff are friendly and polite. The food was amazing, makes a change to have everything hot and cooked properly. Leaf tea was a bonus. Thankyou will be back when we pass this way again.

Stopped here for lunch as we travelled from the Midlands to Porthmadog. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was really quick, dedpite being busy. We had the omlettes. They were freshly made... delicious. Pots of tea were with proper loose tea. Overall, it was a great lunch. Would definitely recommend this little gem, and I'm sure we'll make this our stop off lunch break when we're on our travels to Wales in the future

First time here for me. Excellent Service, Attentive Staff and very pleasant Atmosphere. At this time of the year it was very busy. Quality of Food was above Average and Tasty. Just one mistake with our order, which did not spoil the meal too much and we received an apology when we pointed it out. I would recommend to others.

Food was quite quick as it wasn't busy but didn't taste the best my jacket potatoes was drowned in cheese and they give you coleslaw with everything I got garlic bread as my side and only wanted garlic bread but it was a whole meal on its own

I utterly enjoyed having stopped at this beautiful cafe for a quick bite. It was lovely, food was great and even had gluten free options for me. Very relaxing and enjoyable, would come back for the scones!

Lovely place for a drink and food

A delightful place with good food pleasant courtyard and having lost my husband recently the staff have gone above and beyond to support me. That s all staff not just the owners. Well worth Visiting

We popped here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Service was excellent. I had a bacon bap and my partner had the small breakfast, both very enjoyable. The decor is cosy, and prices are reasonable. The restaurant is well situated in the town and has a lovely terrace too. Well worth a visit.

Child, dog and adult friendly! I’ve passed this place a few times when visiting on holiday, but felt brave enough to go for lunch (with my toddler, Jack Russell and husband - all of which can be a handful). The most amazing member of the team made sure to get our son’s drink order out very quickly 🙏 along with drawing apparatus, and a water bowl for tank the dog which was incredibly thoughtful and I am so very great full for ☺️. Not long after all the food came out quickly and was lovely (food included some dog biscuits too!). Our son got to put his picture up on the wall which made us all happy 😊. Thanks so much to the lovely lady for saving our day! X

Lovely tearooms, staff very friendly, & ensuring we sat in the best place for our large dog, as it was quite warm. We had a delicious meal, food was well cooked and all warm, and at a reasonable cost. Really is a place we would recommend to everyone.

Great food ,Great value for money and friendly staff

We were visiting Llangollen for the day with my brother and sister-in-law who were visiting the UK from Australia. After walking around the town and along the canal, we decided to look for somewhere to have lunch and came across the Cottage Tea Rooms whch is located not far from the bridge over the river. It was a nice day and we were able to sit on the terrace area in front of the tea rooms. There was was a good menu and we enjoyed sandwiches and Panini which were reasonably priced and tasty. Service was quick and friendly. Well worth a visit if you are in Llangollen.

We have been here before last year, didn’t disappoint then and didn’t today, lovely poached eggs on toast for the wife and a bacon and egg bap for myself,both had tea which was really good too.

£6 a pint. Slow service (and it wasn’t busy) the egg sandwhich had hard stale bread and it said it was served with salad and crisps. It has spinach and 4 Pringles on the side. Also ordered a burger which was average. Wouldn’t come back, £31 for a burger inedible sandwhich and two drinks. Didn’t even ask how the food was so didn’t have the opportunity to complain or raise the issue

Lovely food but bottled beer is a bit pricey

Had a lasagne, veggie burger and bacon cheese burger, food was very nice, lasagne was to big for me to finish, had plenty of high chairs, allowed dogs, clean and tidy.

Nice place to stop at and have some breakast/lunch etc, the Wife and I had a small breakfast each, complimented by a De caffe Coffee and a pot of Earl Grey ( very nice), there's a nice choice on the Menu, plenty to choise from, the food was lovely, just the job and nicely cooked, bacon was just right with no fat on it at all, just how we like it, not been to this one before, so next time we visit, will make sure to come here again.....

Nice breakfast served by friendly staff

All day breakfast, after the walk to horseshoe falls, was excellent - nicely done black pudding with a crisp exterior & moist interior, nice bacon & sausages etc. - and the loose leaf tea is very good (if you like strong asam style tea it's easily on a par with Yorkshire Tea). It was quiet today on a wet Wednesday out of season, I imagine it's quite different in a few days if the bank holiday weather improves :) but the ample covered seating outside served us well yesterday. Parking in the council short of long stay car parks are pretty cheap and very close to the cafe, and it's convenient for going to or from the Llangollen Canal & Horseshoe Falls or Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Llangollen itself is a nice town with the river Dee running straight through it - very well worth visiting.

Very tasty food right on the busy street. Everything went very quickly and easily. We found a seat immediately and were served promptly.

Food was pretty cooked stored in freezer and microwaved....consistency and taste of food was to be desired...WORST so called breakfast even didn't eat it ,when I went to complain after I already changed my original burnt, rubbery egg only to be brought another burnt cold rubbery egg16 seconds later .considering they claim its fresh cooked you don't smell nothing being g cooked no free drink either have to pay extra for that ...total disgace

We sat at a table outside at the front with our dog. We were made very welcome. The staff were very friendly and the service was spot on. We had a cream tea which was very nice 👍

Went here with an elderly relative in a wheelchair. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Food was excellent and service superb. Also dog friendly!

We had the pleasure of eating here on our trip to llangollen. The food was really tasty and came out piping hot. My husband decided to try a piece of lemon drizzle cake,its his favourite and he said it was the best he has ever tasted. We were served by two young men who were really polite and also efficient. We will definitely return on our next visit to llangollen

What a find ! The Bistro is absolutely spotless , the menu varied and the staff so friendly. They even serve “proper”tea complete with strainer! I will certainly return for a full meal. Thank you .

Popped in for a bite to eat a bit disappointed as the food came out first then the drinks about 15mins after. Food is lovely and a small menu with not much on it. Situated in Llangollen town grade listed building all decorated really well.

The food is ok. Ambience inside isn’t great but I imagine on a nice day sitting outside would be very pleasant. Unfortunately service was not good. Lots of tables presuming they had to go up to order as the table service was so slow, lots of chasing up bills which never came so had to go up anyway. Wouldn’t rush back. Dee Side cafe around the corner has better service and better value.

Lovely cafe. Got fast service and gorgeous carrot cake (gluten free). Probably the best GF carrot cake I’ve had. Top marks.

We just visited today and it was are first time there we had food I had Omelette and drink and my mum had Jacket potato with cheese she about to eat it and that wasp landed on her food and we ask nicely if she can get other one and man rolls his eye back but he didn't know we seen it and the bill came to £24.30 and I gave him £30 and say keep the change but won't go back there because end of the day customer comes first and they pay his bills.

I have been here a few times and always good food and service . Today I got served by a nice lady and asked if she new a window supplier and also a roofer as iam moving into the area in march she was so kind to help me . When I have time iam go to talk I going to ask if she can recommend.any business looking for staff as I have been in retail for over fifty years and I looking for part-time employment x

Lovely little place with the most friendly staff. Came today for some lunch and had our cockapoo puppy who we are trying to get used to different environments with us. The place is very dog friendly and we were even offered some water for her. We had a full breakfast and a sandwich, both of which were delicious and fresh. Would recommend to anyone. This place looks like it gets very busy and you can see why as it's great!

What a gem of a find. On our way back from Llandudno, never ever stopped of in Llangollen before. We came upon the cottage twa rooms on our way to take photos over the bridge. This is obviously a family run tearoom. Food,service, and atmosphere were excellent. Tables cleared quickly, and orders were taken with adequate time to browse. This tea room was busy inside and outside. Lovely outside seating area. The prices were good. The food was homemade and delicious. We can recommend the Lasagne.

Delicious homemade tomato soup and great piri piri and cheese panini. Lovely pot of welsh tea. Service was speedy and staff were friendly.

Lovely place for lunch in Llangollen. Family of 7, for lunch on Satuday without booking. Busy place, staff work very hard, food amazing. We will be back. Some of our group are vegetarian, and we all found something nice to accommodate our different tastes.

Lovely chilled alfresco lunch. Lasagne was delicious. Tuna and mayo sandwich was yummy and ham and cheese panini was fabulous too! Nice relaxing atmosphere and staff were content and very friendly. Would definitely recommend and will visit again on our next visit.

Cracking tearoom. The piri piri and cheese paninni was delicious.

We stopped on our way home from Snowdonia for lunch. The menu had lots of options and we struggled to choose as there was lots we like. The food was lovely and service was quick. The staff were really friendly and looked after us well. The prices were good value also.

The staff cannot do enough for you, the food was lovely, a plenty of it. The rest rooms were spotless, definitely recommend a visit.

Called in on the way home from holiday had a breakfast standard size filled that gap ,they cut my toast so I could load it with food and the cup of tea was the best big pot of loose tea and enuff in the pot to have a few cups and there was still some left .Thanks

So glad we found this gem of a place, we received a really lovely warm welcome on arrival and throughout our time in the Tearoom. I sampled the Lasagne with side salad, Coleslaw and Garlic Bread. I then had the Traditional Welsh Cream Tea which was also very nice indeed. The tearoom is very dog friendly which was great for us as we were able to take our Jack Russell Terrier "Manx' in with us. We came here as a family,my wife and I had scones and jam, grandsons had a baked potato with cheese and beans and a cheeseburger n chips, my son had a omelette, really enjoyed the food, staff were brilliant especially with our Autistic grandson, very patient, recommended if you are in the area!

The Omellete. Where do I even start. You think you've eaten a basic ham and cheese Omelette before, right? We've all knocked one up when the cupboards are bare. Well, let me tell you this...eat this Omelette at your own peril...as once you do. Nothing will EVER COME CLOSE! The eggs- Cooked to perfection. Crispy top and beautifully seasoned The fillings- Luxury ham, from what I can only presume, are the finest pigs in the country. The cheese was hot and gooey. Presentation - I thought I was on masterchef or something! I don't even have an Instagram account, but I created one just to post this award winning meal Summary- A little pricey at £10 but you get what you pay for. A fab little first date spot or somewhere to take your family after that long Sunday stroll. The cooking time was impressive, too. Order to table in less than 10 minutes. Final score B- (7.25/10)

We have visited here previously and were very pleased that the change of owners have still kept the same high standards. The place is spotless and there is a large outside dining area. The staff are attentive and welcoming. The menu is good and varied with a great choice of hot and cold dishes. We were a party of 4 and we all chose different items and we all enjoyed our meals. We definitely recommend you try this lovely cafe.

Had: a tasteful ham sandwich with home made coleslaw and fresh salad. Also the panini with bacon, brie and cranberries was delicious. Good Pinot Grigio. One thing could be better: welsh draft instead of Spanish beer. Great view of street from patio table. Very service minded waiter.

Absolutely lovely tea room! Friendly and kind waiters, with incredibly fast service. Excellent food - we had scampi, tea cakes, panini and soup of the day. Gluten free options were a great bonus especially the gluten free carrot cake! All enjoyed outside with our little pooch (dog friendly place) in the rare sunshine! Definitely recommend.

Lovely little place to have a cup of tea

If you want poor quality food, then this place is ideal for you. If you like omelettes swimming in oil or lamb minty burgers without lamb or mint, and chips like 9mm bullets you won’t be disappointed honestly.

I visited Cottage Tearooms today and I was very impressed! The food was absolutely fantastic and cooked perfectly, reasonably priced too! The venue is clean, tidy and well presented inside and out. We sat outside (as the weather was nice). Staff are very welcoming and even though it was busy at the time, they were never too rushed to stop for you if you had a query. I couldnt fault it if I wanted to. Superb!

What a wonderful Sunday morning we had here before going rafting. Greeted by such friendly staff. Very chatty/engaging asking us if we had had a pleasant stay in the area etc. The Latte was served quick hot and was just what we needed before leaving. Very competitive price. Sadly we had already eaten in our camper as the food been served around looks fabulous! Next time 👍
