Had a very relaxing brunch, friendly staff and my Bagel was loaded with freshly scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. I didn't want to leave, so lingered a while by the Christmas Tree with a pot of herbal tea while my doggy slept on my lap.

Visited the cafe today with my mum & friend. Didn’t know they had a cafe. The service was so friendly and the Welsh rarebit is the best I’ve ever tasted. It actually contained beer! The onion chutney is homemade. A delicious snack!

Love this place hence the 2 stars but as quite regular visitors to the area I have to say starting to find its opening hours very bizarre. We visited earlier today and had a slight issue with a food item we ordered which mistakes happen I get that. We were told it was open all day come back later and we will sort you a drink. We went back for evening drinks at 5.30 despite being told it was open from 5 and a young lad despite ignoring us twice when I shouted to him they would be open in about 10 minutes. Love the product and place but please support the customers that support you. Admittedly it does seem a regulars bar but there is a lot of trade from out of the area Friday night and closed when you advertise as open seems very odd without any explanation

Had brunch here today and it was delicious. Really lovely place with a cool vibe in the afternoon. Good menu choices and fabulous lighting. Expected more of a grungy pub like place given it had live music in the vending but it is really smart. Take a look at the photos. Service was not great today though, not acknowledged as being at the counter for a while, but kit hem staff who brought out the food was very nice

Our third time visiting for breakfast, we had local butcher bacon and egg sourdough rolls. Both the bacon and egg were cooked to perfection There’s a great selection of homemade cake, the pavlova is yummy 😋 The staff are very efficient but also friendly, nothing is too much trouble The Red is decorated with lots of music memorabilia from The Alarm and other bands I would highly recommend this wonderful cafe bar

We called in here after viewing the falls which are directly across road. There a a few benches to the front but we decided to sit out back in the beer garden which was pleasant enough. We were impressed with the interior and its unique qualities and the overall quirkyness. Clearly this place is geared up for live entertainment and to be honest we would have loved to have seen some as no doubt the atmospshere would have been an experience. Still with that said we did enjoy our drinks.

I attended the waterfall at 7.15pm across the road which is meant to have toilets however they were locked. I politely asked the staff member if I could use the toilets and explained the public were locked earlier than expected and we were in the middle of nowhere. With a smile on his face he said no and that it was for customers only. I could see 6 people in the place. I have also worked in catering and hospitality and I just don't think this is a hospitable attitude. I would happily have bought something if I wasn't travelling with young children.

We booked a table couple of hours prior to visiting. The table wasnt booked in. Sent us to a table that didnt fit the amount of people in the group, or even made up. There was an old lady behind the bar who couldn't be more rude even if you paid her. My Pepsi was flat and I sent it back and she said really loudly: "that's not flat" and then persisted to keep looking over at me. I order fish and it looked and tasted awful. The grease was running on the plate and my lips were covered in grease just after 1 bite. The batter on the fish didnt taste like batter or crunchy, just soggy.. The chips weren't chips they were just potato's cut into quarters. First time visiting and really looking forward to it but won't be returning due to attitude and made to feel unwelcome by the old lady.

We sat in the pub whilst we had our hot and cold drinks and had a browse at the menu. Would probably visit for food if in the area at a time the pub was serving food. Very traditional and olde world pub.
