Bridge End Hotel in Denbighshire

Booked online 2 hours before going and then when i got there my booking wasnt in. Okay was a bit last minute but why then offer the option online? They did manage to find me a table, take my order. I had to remind them of my drink order when my food came first and after seeing other tables get their drink orders first. It was an okay place to be fair the food was decent and staff friendly enough it just felt i was treated as an after thought due to being solo and not in a big party

Came to this place as a last minute roast dinner - the plate was just enough to feed a child. The stuffing was rock solid. The meat was dry. Could barely taste the gravy. Paid £30 for a beer, juice and food - was the worst £30 I could ever spend.

Lovely spot in Llangollen, great decor and service. £6.20 for a shandy is pretty expensive though!

Stopped overnight at the Hotel and I really enjoyed the stay. The atmosphere in the pub was great, was very popular and doggy friendly as well. They had the best spot to sit outside on a spring afternoon in the sunshine. No other pub had their beer garden open. Food and staff were excellent. The walk up to the castle was steep but really worth it and starts literally next to the pub. The closest car park is the Mill Street car park which is only a couple of minutes away and a nice walk next to the river. Breakfast was awesome too but the car park starts charging from 8 so I went across in advance as breakfast starts at the same time. There is a long stay car park a little further away if you fancy not doing the same. Room and toilet / shower was a little cosy but it all worked and was really clean. I would definitely stay again and is planned for hopefully soon.

Louise made me come here, she made me wear a shorts and jeans instead of the white vest shorts and sliders. No stella on Tap had to drink Morretti. Anyway i hope Jamie and Catrins wedding goes better than my parents marriage. Louise tells me nothing could be worse than that, im inclined to agree. I am writing this of my own free will.

Nice pub with variety of drinks & good menu. Cosy atmosphere with great staff. Very welcoming.

Today I stopped here initially for refreshments but the atmosphere was really nice and quite relaxing. I returned for a late lunch and wasn't disappointed, the staff were friendly & efficient and our lunches were as to be expected, very good. Our group had an assortment from the menu and it arrived hot and looked & tasted great. On that note it's fair to say, we will be back soon. All in all a nice, friendly, welcoming pub.

We visited with a large group for food. Staff was really friendly, I can't remember the ladies name, but she was actually new, you wouldn't have thought this as she was so accommodating considering a number of children had allergies which she double checked. Very friendly and always smiling. Food was fantastic, and the atmosphere of the pub/restaurant was great.

Excellent food very friendly and welcoming staff. I had a lovely meal with a couple of pints couldn't fault it, the atmosphere is very relaxing. Patrick

Came here for a quick drink after a long walk along canal from Llangollen towards Pontcysyllte aquaduct. Friendly staff, cosy but upmarket decor and setting.

Never got to stay as they promised so much and can't deliver. Rang and booked rooms and also asked about storage for cycles over night and was told yes not a problem we can do that. Following day got an email confirming one room not the 4 I had booked Rang the hotel and was told in very few words that they could only do 2 rooms and nowhere to store our cycles overnight. Eventually the manageress Rang me and was rude on the phone so I was left very unimpressed. Having spent 30 year in the hotel business she need to change. So Eventually I cancelled the booking and had to ask three times for an email to show this I wouldn't go to this hotel

Just returned from a lovely trip to Llangollen, which became perfect due to the warm welcome and facilities at The Bridge End Hotel

Recently refurbished hotel. Friday night in the bar, and it looked very busy with great atmosphere. Food varied and great tasting . The service was very good. Definitely recommend coming back her. We stayed, and room 2 was recently redecorated to great standard. No complaints. It's a walkers pub as breakfast, which was good, is only from 0800 to 0900

First time I have stayed at this hotel. Have been to Llangollen before. Hotel is in a lovely location, close to amenities. Parking is good and close by. Rooms are very nice and comfortable, lovely views from window. Clean and warm. Breakfast very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Good menu for restaurant. Experienced no issues. Would recommend.

Just spent a night here. Room recently renovated and was perfect. Spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. Amazing for the price.Great Sunday roast and yummy breakfast this morning. Staff managed by Jason were lovely and worked so hard to make everything good.

First time back since the mightily impressive refurbishment. Looks excellent now. Very clean and welcoming. Really friendly staff and top beer. A dog friendly place too which was a bonus. It was so nice that we went back again later after our walk alongside the canal. Will definitely be back.

Honestly we have been blown away by how lovely this hotel is! We can as a family of 4 and the room we stayed in was beautiful. Breakfast was gorgeous and an absolute bargain. I would recommend staying here. We will definitely be coming back very soon

Went there for a meal one Saturday night, nothing special but not bad though, just average.

I spent New Year's Eve here as my friend and fellow artist Andy Hickie was performing for the venue. I've been there in the past and can easily say the new set up is far better. There's new owners too whom I met and they were lovely as was their mahoosive hound dog 😂. So it's a dog friendly, family friendly people place. There's a function room. They show sports and host regular live music. The drinks were served by nice staff. Great snack selection. I didn't get the food but I'm reliably told it's very nice too. Especially the Sunday Roasts. There's even a log fire. Llangollen is one of my favorite places to be and if you haven't been yet go. Then make sure you stay here too. Just lovely.

A bit cramped but a great pub and decent beer , bonus they are pet friendly.

Went today for a day out to Llangollen decided to go for lunch at the bridge end hotel. We had a nice pint of cold lager plus the New York Deli sandwich with a portion of thick cut chips. May i say how lovely and clean the hotel is the food was spot on and the lager was lovely and cold. The ladie behind the bar could not do enough for us over ordering lunch and the young lady waiting on was lovely too. Had a lovely stay at Bridge end hotel on arrival Jason was so helpful and friendly couldn't do enough for us made us so welcome and our dog rita everyone loved her jason and staff work really hard would recommend this hotel excellent we will definately be going back can't wait

Very poor experience trying to simply order bar snacks - one fries and one nachos last week. Completely ignored after being told to wait to order for ten minutes while food was brought out for a table of 8. 45 minutes later, gave up and left. The smaller customers clearly aren’t important during Christmas party season - it wasn’t even busy. If you can’t cope with an order of fries and nachos then you have a big problem.

We had a meal on a Sunday evening around 18:00, and the place wasn't very busy. My Thai beef meal was so chewy, I ended up discreetly putting most of it in my napkin. My friend had the same meal, and she struggled too. The waitress then cleared the plates when our friend was still eating, which we thought was very rude. Unfortunately for us, there was an extremely noisy, drunken group of people at the bar. One female in particular who had a sore throat, shouting to her friends about how she'd lost her voice! I wouldn't especially go there for a meal again, but if you've been out for a walk, it might be OK. I'd stick to the bangers and mash, you can't really go wrong with a meal like that. Although my husband thought the mash was heated up in the microwave and wasn't that great.

Came here with friends for a meal and was amazed with how well it looks after the refurb. The drink selection was great and the food was amazing. Empty plates all round and staff were brilliant. Highly recommend this place over the cornmill for food.

We phoned on our way home to see if they had any availability for Sunday lunch. They pre advised they had a table of 10 in at the same time and there may be a slight delay but, this wasn’t the case at all. Fantastic food, attentive service, lucky to have another great place in Llangollen to eat at.

Stayed 2 nights but wish it could been longer. Can't fault this place. The new owners have spent a lot of money on the remodeling and it's been worth it. The inside is warm and welcoming and the bar area is light and airy. The staff are friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and beautifully decorated with a good size en-suite with a waterfall shower. The water was hot and plentiful. Tea and coffee was provided in the room along with a smart TV. The beds were lovely and comfortable. It's lovely to find a hotel where breakfast is included in the room rate with both continental and cooked options available. The food was top notch with plenty of variety on the menu and daily specials. Special mentions for Paris and Denise for looking after us so well. We were sorry to leave and can't wait to return.

Was working in this area about 16 years ago. Me and the lads used to come here almost daily for their amazing barbecue ribs that we all agreed were the best we ever had. Was highly looking forward to them and was disappointed to see they stopped doing them. Still a great spot though 👍

Food was amazing, lots of it and really lovely. (I hate baked oven chips, these were beautiful not the usual pub chips) Jason behind the bar is a star, makes the atmosphere fun and very attentive. Not forgetting Olivier the lovely waitress/ bar staff. All in all a lovely pub with lovely food and staff to match. Will definitely be back.

Didn`t stay only ate in the afternoon (day tripper). Lovely curry and Toffee pud. Enjoyed the food. Busy place even on a murky weather day.

Visiting llangollen on a Spa night at the Wild Pheasant Hotel, looking for local food and the Bridge End Hotel was recommended, we were not disappointed as the food was cooked beautifully and the barman Jason was very helpful and friendly.

Last minute decision to pop in after a walk down the canal. Jason serving was kind, polite and punctual. Three drinks, one shared starter and two mains ordered. All I can say is that this was the best pub experience I've had in a long time. Great tasting pub grub, served quickly that was fresh and hot. Many thanks. P
