The best restaurants in Mid Wales

I visited North wales to visit my sister/brother in law and we both needed a nice lunch out. Today we choose well in Machynlleth village. Parking is available in the high street, Look at restrictions times, Parking in Co-op is easier, free for 2 hours with a shopping trip. Machynlleth village is a lovely historical town, lovely old buildings with lots of history. The Caffi Glyndwr was quite busy today I ordered our meal at the cashier desk at the front. No table service per say. Food/service is brought to your table. I was offered accomplishments with my welsh rabbit and unfortunately my sister was given a different bread upon request, nevertheless we didn't complain. We were served with a nice big pot of tea and our meals were of a good portion size. My sisters soup was hot and delicious and my welsh rabbit was delicious with a salad garnish with extra accomplishments. The restaurant itself was warm, decorated nicely Customer toilets upstairs were very nice in the surrounding historical building. The price of our meals were quite reasonable which would attract more customers I would feel A view of landscape leaving North Wales, on to my next destination

All great .. Only thing is wait.. The chap is on own at time which made hot food a while .. But we was happy with food and drinks and a nice chap ...

We saw them in Aberystwyth, and were very glad we stopped by. The food was really tasty and generous portions. We had lunch and then barely ate until bedtime! Very happy, will return.

What a gorgeous pub and zoo! We had an amazing time, the kids loved the animals too

We came in as the place was closing, lady stayed and made us 11 main courses. Fast WiFi, super nice people. 11/10

I didn't stay there but had a Sunday lunch and it was amazing. Perfect in every way. Amazing pannacotta to finish it all off. Lovely staff, it was a good laugh forgetting the word shandy and having to explain what it was to the waitress 😂 lovely place, will defo come back!

We have visited this cafe again this morning. Always a warm welcome. The lady who greeted us this morning was so lovely& the service was second to none. The breakfast is just the best !!!! Always cooked to perfection. We always stop off on our way to Tywyn & we stop off again on our way home!!!we can't recommend this gem of a cafe enough.also I would like to thank them for ringing me to let me know they were open today.so kind of you.we look forward to returning next year.wishing you all the very best

A really well stocked bottle shop and tap room. Stumbled across the place by accident but was a great find. Had really fresh local beer and neipa, IPA, sours etc at (I think) very fair prices. Everything I sampled was great over two visits. Live music in the evening and wish I could have stayed for that too. Dog friendly with scooby snacks at the bar

Grace was great front of house, the room was warm comfortable and suitably fabulous and we had a brilliant Christmas dinner. What more could you ask for?

A Creative musical Crucible, welcoming, and friendly. The sound engineering, friends and family promote and are encouraging to new and developing talent. Its been refurbished and they hosted..'Absti-Dance' an amazing Alcohol free Rave!! For recovery, last night. One best nights I've had in years. 3x amazing Djs. 👏 The event evening was freely given by the owners and the djs staff from 'smart' DDAS..Non alcoholic drinks were available. Guardian Angel's on the doors. So a very safe, and quality of fun, an environment of support. An absolute Joy..

Was part of a big party here so there was a great atmosphere. Favourite part of my meal was the pannacotta. Delicious! Downside was only having one toilet.
