Expected a bit wider choice in 🍺 from place entitled itself Ale House (and yes, have been in much smaller towns with Ale Houses). Winter's Afternoon Sunday time wasn't the Best time to visit as well, seems to be. Total silence, no heating on and just nice bartender girl brought a bit of life to this dull place. Huge disappointment after reading once about Award of They Best Welsh Craft Pub to go. From advantages: cool thing is to have possibility to buy lots of pints to go with huge plastic container bottles provided 👍

Good selection of ales and ciders

We were passing through Llandrindod Wells for one night. Found this lovely microbrewery and had a couple of tasty beers here. Quite a few to choose from and the place seemed to attract some locals as the evening went on. Friendly staff. Nice enough to make another visit. Give it a try 👍

What an absolute gem of a place. Fantastic service friendly atmosphere brilliant pint of wyre valley met Dexter the puppy misses loved him and even took a couple pints home . Will be back

The experience we had on visting your establishment wasn't the best.The atmosphere was cold, no background music, barmaid on mobile phone all the time we were in,customer footfall limited. Other than that the drinks my husband & I had were a good price. My husband had the IPA on draught which he enjoyed I had Pink Gin & Diet Tonic,which was enjoyed

This micro brewery is almost opposite the Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells. It is not open on Monday and Tuesday and closes at ten. Has a good selection of Real Ales plus all the normal alcoholic beverages. Not massively big inside but was cosy. Really enjoyed the visit as the ales were excellent and very well kept. Met the landlord and his daughter who ran the pub and were very friendly and knowledgeable. If you like your Real Ales would recommend a visit.

Wanted to love it here - particularly I was on the lookout for a decent alehouse to bring my Dad and Brother to. The atmosphere was quite bizarre and hostile - even the lady behind the bar seemed fed-up to serve us. The variety and pricing was great though!

Excellent real ale and cider bar. Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are keen to ensure they are serving quality real beer and other drinks. No distracting music or television which encourages a good social setting. Not far from centre and a short walk to the lake, for a leisurely walk or more, within an easy walk of a number of large hotels.

Good real ale pub, now stocks draft lager and cider

Came by this gem of a pub by chance, whilst staying in a local hotel. One of the highlights of our trip to the town. Sadly, we are not local, but if we were we would be regulars here no doubt. Good beer, cider etc, traditional ethics, friendly company. What more do you want?

Great atmosphere, chilled and relaxed... Good choice of Ales, they certainly slide down well, can't wait to sample the ciders and gins in the future. Always look forward to returning to this pub. A great asset to the town.

A great pint in a lovely atmosphere

Fantastic bar. Jamming session late afternoon early evening today (Sunday). Excellent choice of ales and ciders . We bought our neighbours down for a few and they are dog lovers too ,which is great as the Arvon know that 'normal' people have dogs so along with the music this creates a very special and homely atmosphere . Had a really wonderful visit here this evening. There is a varied and ever changing selection of ales and ciders, we try something new every visit. If you are not sure, just ask the friendly knowledgable staff. The atmosphere is welcomming and comfortable.

Lovely atmosphere. Very welcoming. No loud music and big tv screens. A place where you can actually go and have a drink and talk to people without having to shout.

Cosy real ale house, fabulous beers and spirits

It is a quaint little pub we found in Llandrindod Wells , when we were there in August. Very small but had some really lovely craft ales. The people were friendly and the place was full of eclectic design. It was a good place to go on a Saturday afternoon when there wasn't anything else open.

Even some great cider, a lovely short visit but nice atmosphere, great selection of beers and cider plus some well needed Black Country scratchings! Definitely recommended for a pleasant drink early doors.

Acoustic evening was a pleasure, time spent in Arvon Ales, friendly barmaid. Our dog was allowed in, a lovely homely atmosphere.

The Arfon is a place to drink fine beers, ciders and wines for their taste rather than their effects. Lots of interesting chat, music and local comment in a congenial atmosphere where everyone is welcomed and prices, service and value are unbeatable.

5 ales that you don't see anywhere else in mid Wales. No juke box, no TV. Live music some Sundays. Large gin selection. Local scumpy's. Irish whiskys. Great owners with trusty bar staff. Big supporters of local enterprise including Gin Festival. No kitchen but plenty of snacks (and you can byo when it's quiet but nothing too smelly).

A few times I have been in and a well laid out interior Great selection of ales on tap Cosy and a great place to enjoy good tasting beer whilst kicking back in a relaxed atmosphere

First time we'd been in...but definitely not the last! Great ales & lovely atmosphere

Top spot for those that enjoy a good beer, whisky, gin, cider/Perry or even a cuppa tea or coffee. Great atmosphere and very friendly owners. I always try and pop in when I'm passing. No food, but an interesting and varied selection of snacks. I should also mention that price per drink are very cheap compared to most other pubs (currently £3 a pint). Just wished there were more pubs like this.
