Delicious food! Really friendly service

Onion bhaji, calamari and mac n cheese bites as starters. Butter chicken, ribs, vegan lasagne and saucy bird burger. Everything came out at the same time and was very enjoyable. Great service, nice atmosphere. Few beers and games of pool to finish off the work day! 👌

Amazing pub . Very friendly .. lovely place to take the children. Myself partner and son walked in and within 2 mins the manager brought a game for me and my son to play . My son is 12 . The food was amazing .. I also have mental health issues and I felt absolutely at home there..

I celebrated my birthday with 9 others at the Red Lion Machynlleth on the 15th November. Raj was very acomadating .Food was really good and well presented .Deffinatly recomended.

The red lion is the nicest cleanest pub in Machynlleth, the food is always top notch. The boss man Raj is literally one of the nicest people to serve you and always friendly.

The Red Lion is AMAZING. Owner was really friendly, atmosphere is chill and relaxed. The food is fantastic as well. The garlic mushroom was my favourite in the menu. BBQ ribs were delicious too! Overall would 100% recommend if you're dropping by the area.

Lovely lunch with 7 adults, 3 kids and 1 dog. Food was fab, particularly the pie and mash! Made ourselves at home on one side of the restaurant, really accommodating with all our prams and stuff! Lovely staff - would definitely return, thank you!

After visiting Wales for a friend's birthday staying in a yurt , we came to the lion on the off chance after 2 previous places closed . The host was extremely friendly as soon as we arrived and made us feel at ease at all times . The food smelt amazing garlic if my favourite so I was in heaven . We ordered butter chicken and mushroom chicken. Both were very tasty with the brocoli being slightly cool but other than that good portion and full of flavour. The decor is a individual taste but don't just this book , there was majority of popular larger on tap and plenty of other tipples if larger isn't your thing. There is even some games around the establishment if pool or connect for tickles your competitive side .

Actually the best curry I have had in a long time- I ate it so quickly and definitely wanted to go for seconds! I’m coeliac and they were very good explaining which items were gluten free and also said they could alter items so that I would be able to eat! Lovely staff, very clean space and also had board games for us to play when waiting for the food (which also came quickly). 10/10 recommend!

Out of towners, booked last minute as we needed some food before setting up at our campsite. Food, atmosphere and atmosphere were lovely. Staff were very good with the kids and dogs offering a kids pack and dog treats. Would definitely eat there again.Would defiantly go back.

My family of 3 each ordered a different panini each (BLT, Steak & gravy & coronation chicken). They were absolutely delicious. The bread perfectly toasted and gravy was fantastic on the steak one that I ordered. I also ordered the homemade cream of mushroom soup and that was so very tasty. My son dipped his cheesy garlic bread he ordered in ot as well 🙂. Service was with a smile. We will definitely be back.

We popped in for Sunday roast and it was absolutely delicious. We had a choice of beef, pork or chicken and the servings were a great size. Although the pub was quiet it was a friendly atmosphere and the team were very welcoming.

I go out to eat alot and I can honestly say thats the nicest food I've ever had. The staff were so friendly and smiley and lovely and even had a joke or 2 with us. When we are in the area definitely coming again, new date night place! X

After trying two other places which weren't serving, we thought we'd try the White Lion, we'd heard good feedback from the locals and they were right! The food was delicious I ate mine so fast, it was so nice (Polo Al Fungi) my grandfather had the pie of the day and we were really impressed.. deep fill, beautiful crust and a cute miniature pan with extra gravy made it extra nice. Our friend had the butter chicken and she devoured it. We all have been really impressed with the food and the service too. The staff are warm, friendly and very welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable and happy. The atmosphere here is fantastic and joyful. We will be happy to visit again to enjoy more of their menu. I strongly recommend people go pay them a visit. Thanks for a lovely afternoon, the happy vibes, delicious food and excellent and friendly staff. 10 out of 10!

I had a great time at Y Llew Coch - Mach! The service was so friendly and welcoming, and the food was really good. It’s not fancy, just tasty, comforting meals that hit the spot. The whole place has a nice, relaxed vibe, and we felt right at home. Definitely going back again!

Staying in the area for the weekend called in for a drink and food very glad we did was great and the owner very polite and helpful would highly recommend
