The best restaurants in Machynlleth Powys Mid Wales

Shirley's food is a Machynlleth institution and not to be missed. Make sure you check the ordering details on the website in plenty of time though!

It's really a simple review to write as it's absolutely excellent every time! Whenever they do a pop up, my wife & I get our order in straight away. I think it's the best food option in the area for choice and quality that is done with love and care. There's too many places around that just serve average or below average food. Green Goat stands way above everyone else as how it should be done. They have customers for life in us.

A lovely take away and cafe,in a fascinating old building We stopped here for coffee and a cake on our journey. Delicious cakes and excellent coffee. Faultless friendly service, fast and efficient. All the locals come here for their bread and lunchtime food. ! We thought it was brilliant!

What an unexpected find in an unassuming Welsh town! Little sister of Ynyshr and the three guys running it are amazing! The wine pairings with the food was excellent and the fish dishes we ordered from the tasting menu were out of this world!

This is a delightful little cafe to stop and enjoy some food. There are customer toilets outside and upstairs. A lovely selection of cakes on the counter all at reasonable prices. I chose the brie bacon and cranberry panini, it was lovely, as if you couldn't tell by my picture 😀 The hot chocolate want to my taste as it tastes a bit too dark for me, but not sure. But that is just my opinion

A small, very busy restaurant with welcoming and efficient staff. The menu is not large but offers a good variety that would offer something for everyone . Puddings particularly good, but all our dishes were well cooked . We recommend

Scam of a place. Cost £10.50 for a double gin. Serving drinks to kids under 18. Not a welcoming place at all

Went with a large group to the Wild Fowler for our Christmas lunch. The menu offered really good, varied choice and between us we covered most of it! The food was beautifully presented and it was cooked really well. Portions were generous and side dishes of vegetables were plentiful. Staff were friendly and efficient. A lovely couple of hours in comfy surroundings with great views and delicious food. Would recommend.
