We've tried several places in and around Machynlleth in the past. You can't fault the breakfast here, everything is freshly cooked and presented nice. The service is great, the ladies in there are lovely and friendly. Never been disappointed every time we've visited. Oh and the coffee is very good as well 🤣

A small busy takeaway, kebabs were great thank you.

This review is only regarding the bar which we drop into occasionally instead of a pub as it makes a more select and comfortable alternative. Went two nights ago when three real ales were on which we were able to try a small sample first. My wife had a golden ale which she enjoyed and I had Evans and Evans Warrior which was an excellent traditional malty bitter. The fire and inglenook were a bonus.

Amazing foods and fast making fery camfertable. Can be suitable for families of all ages menu's for every age.

Had a delicious breakfast here today, the staff were welcoming,friendly and very attentive. The cafe itself is decorated lovely and in a nice setting. Lovely bacon, egg cooked to perfection, and real butter!

Kept going back there to try different cakes from the extensive selection! And never disappointed! The breakfast (both vegan and non vegan!) appeared to be of epic proportions! The mix'n match crockery just adds to the charm of the place!

Ordered takeaway for 7 people over the Christmas break, various lamb and chicken dishes, all really good and everyone happy. Would recommend and will visit again.

Good quality drinks and good service. More options for wine would be beneficial for future visits. Decor such as tables were a bit worn. The quality and value with regards to food was very good.

We are staying in the area and have just had the steak and Guinness pie here at The White Lion Hotel. It is the best steak pie we have found in the area....proper homemade pie, rammed full of tender meat with not a piece of fat or gristle in sight! We are pie eating experts and this has gone to the top of our list! Kudos to the chef 👨‍🍳 👏 Bloomin' scrummy! Thank you 😊

sadly it seems that trying to save money the takeaway is skimping on ingredients - the vegetable sweet & sour was mainly sauce, the chow mein overcooked noodles [pre cooked perhaps] and little else sadly all a bit flavourless
