We took a detour to here after seeing the reviews and were not dissapointed. The pizza was so tasty and the staff were really friendly. Will definitely make sure to stop off again in the future. We chose to sit in and service was great but also saw plenty of people with takeout which would be great if you're stopping close by.

Six of us, including four adults and two children, recently enjoyed a Sunday roast at the Bank Pub and Restaurant in Knighton, and it was undoubtedly the best we've ever had. The meat was incredibly tender and simply melted in our mouths. The gravy was divine, and the accompaniments were exquisite – creamy cheese leeks and perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. We started with whitebait and mozzarella sticks, both of which were delicious. For dessert, the black forest cheesecake was light and fluffy, while the apple and rhubarb crumble was perfectly tart and not overly sweet, accompanied by a divine custard. The customer service was exceptional. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, allowing us plenty of time to enjoy our meal and conversation. We highly recommend the Bank Pub and Restaurant for a truly memorable dining.

You know when you pull up opposite, what looks like, a deserted pub, on a deserted cold snowy Sunday just after Christmas? Then shuffle through the snow to enter, what you think may be a cold, echoing, dark abyss? But upon opening the old creaky door you’re met with a wall of warmth, laughter, colour, smiles and a community having a great, time. Then find there’s good beer and amazing fresh food at a good price with excellent service? Then that’s what we got here today! We’re local but have only been once before. Note to self - must make this a regular thing.

I have literally just visited this cafe and while I appreciate it was busy I waited nearly 25 minutes for a toasted tea cake which was burnt to buggery and my friends had toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches which they chose to leave ….. so basically a £22.99 bill for very little. We shan’t be back

We share a large haddock and chips on a Friday night - prefer to go and order in person and wait for it to be cooked to order. Delicious Haddock with a lovely crispy light golden batter. We either take it home or eat in the fabulous and friendly Watsons Ale house bar or garden next door. TAKE CASH ! ( cashpoints at the old library/ civic centre or Costcutters. Always a queue on Friday night - but doesn’t take too long - and a good sign of its popularity. Definitely worth the price ( not expensive) and always delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice location but that’s about it. Our meals were ok but a bit greasy everything deep fried and beige. Main let down was the other customers who was basically pretty rough locals. Not a relaxing atmosphere actually very stressful. Rude customers and grumpy staff. Not our cup of tea.
