Chandos Kebab & Burger House in Powys

This was our First order after a recommendation from a neighbour. Will definitely buy a meal from them again. Food was hot and fresh, delivery driver was lovely. Best Chips I’ve had for a very very long time. Might become our monthly treat. Would definitely recommend.

A unreal shish kebab we had a excellent garlic pizza with extra garlic mayo on it and coleslaw it’s a really good place highly recommend please can we have tables in the shop

Total waste of time! Delivery was over an hour late and food arrived luke warm at best! Was told they were busy but didn't call beforehand to say food would be so late. I was unable to eat most of my order as it was so late in the evening. Definitely never ordering from them again!

We have take outs fairly often but this is the first time I've had a milkshake and it's beautiful ❤️ Was made a coconut one to try and it really is delicious 🤤 Food lovely as always.

This is the second time we have ordered from Chandos. Recently moved to the area. We live about 4 miles out of knighton. Ordered the Chicken special kebab, Large pepperoni pizza with jalapeno and pineapple and a cheesey garlic bread. We ordered online and were given a 1hr 10 min delivery time. Which was fine, bearing in mind were we live. Food arrived in 40 mins. It was hot and very nice. Delivery driver was polite. Would definitely recommend.. Thanks guys..

Ordered a 12 inch spicy pizza and a 9 inch cheesy garlic bread. I was stuffed after the pizza. I opted to collect as it was 3 min walk, pizza was ready ontime, food was hot, pics don't do it justice , was nice, jalapeños were crisp and spicy. Broke out in a little sweat 🤣 4 piece chicken n chips, beware the chicken in the batter is hotter than lava, 20 mins later they're still hot, quite filling .

The staff were not very talkative. And they fry supermarket frozen fish and chips and it’s the worst takeaway I have ever been to in all my 39 years. Absolutely disgusting don’t eat here ever.

Absolutely awful. After ordering the food eventually turned up after 1 hour 40 mins. The chips were partially cooked, chicken nuggets awful. And the pizza was burnt to a crisp. The crust was like rubber. Actually binned it. 4 child's nuggets and chips and 1 burnt pizza and garlic bread £49 scandalous.

Personally I love Chando’s, I think their food is great! We get food from them quite regularly, as the food is absolutely delicious. Our top three dishes are their kebab, pizza and cheeseburger. The Kebab: The kebab is always juicy, it’s very delicious. Seasoned to perfection. They also give very generous portions. The Pizza: The dough is just amazing, not too thick, not too thin. It’s got some airiness to it too. The pizzas are always topped with generous amount of toppings and the cheese on top is always browned to perfection. The Cheeseburger: The cheeseburgers are also juicy, love how they grill their burger patties. Very yum, highly recommend. We usually get the food delivered, as it’s much easier for us. The delivery is always super quick. Very rare when we have to wait more than 45 mins! A very satisfied customer. ☺️

The 2 stars are solely for the delivery as they did manage to find us in quite a remote area. The food however was inedible to anyone with taste buds. The pizza was worse than a Chicago town deep dish slung in the microwave.

Ordered online at 7:30, Order was then predicted to arrive at 9:15 and even then didn't arrive until it was 20 minutes late. and even after they got my order wrong. I ordered a 4 piece roast chicken select and chips and received a chicken leg. Overcharging me at the end of the day. Couldnt be bothered to call them up because Id already been waiting 2 and a half hours after placing the original delivery. Dissapointing

Think the fish was over cooked £6 something not good will not go there again

Pizza was bland and very greasy. Kebab didn't have much sauce, requested two but only found a small amount of one! Don't think we will be back.

Awuful food.........arrived in knighton Looked for fish and chips or pizza This was the first shop we saw for fish and chips / pizza The pizza tastes synthetic, a meat feast ,not sure what meat was used !!!!!! One bite and in the bin Fish and chip shop further up the hill was amazing

Cardboard chips but decent pizza

Had a large Kebab in pitta, it was very tasty. I would recommend this place to everyone.

We ordered via the app.. Waste of time.. We turned up on time and nothing was even started to be cooked let alone ready.. My daughter ordered fish, it was more like charcoal, totally unedable. My wife ordered something with no onions with coleslaw, she had no coleslaw and onions instead .. However my burger was lush. Very poor overall. Quite disappointed

Amazing kabas and great vibes! The portion sizes are as big as my head and the food tastes great, nothing to complain about except I don't have them enough ! Every time me and my family go to knighton I cross my fingers in hope of a kebab for tea, and so does everyone else! The first thing that popped in to mind when someone says knighton is always kabas :) I definitely recommend going there, the people are kind, happy and chatty and the food is delicious!

Terrible service ! phoned up and placed an order at 6.30 pm and the time for delivery was 7.45 pm we have rang up asked where it is and they said 10 mins , its now 8.46pm and they have just shown up . we have ordered for children aswell so there Hungary we even tried to ring to cancel the order to get something from elsewhere but no one would answer the phone either . we only live down the road from the shop had we have known we could have collected or gone elsewhere . They did knock £6 off. Its our local shop such a shame as its not cheap food for what they serve but we wont be going there again .

We are staying at Black hall lodges and fancied a takeaway. We took a risk and wow it paid off. Great service, they know the site well and brought the food straight to our door. The food was also fantastic. Great prices with big portion sizes. Food also arrived within 30 minutes and hot. Thank you guys

About 20mins late but fantastic food,well worth the wait.we have 2 pizzas and mixed kebab and chips.very generous with the meat.

Food arrived 25 mins late, chicken dry and overcooked, pizza cold. Garlic bread unchewable. Only satisfactory food was onion ring and wedges. Very disappointed.

The delivery came within like 20 minutes and the pizza is actually pretty good. The nuggets and mozzarella sticks are the best though. I highly recommend

Kebab meat was "ok"....over cooked pitta, salad was old and there was less than I would feed a rabbit with jalapenos missing, charged me a pound a pot to put the sauce in a small pot instead of on kebab, then told me they don't take card and nearest cashpoint is 10 miles away and I had to do a bank transfer. Honest review, stay clear.....

Average take-out. Food was fine, but nothing really lifted it above any other take-out I've had. A chicken-fillet kebab seemed to come with a thin ciabatta instead of a pitta which was a little odd, but still enjoyable.

All aspects of the kebab were home made and the pitta was to die for. Simply stunning would highly recommend.

All of the negative reviews... completely agree with. Waited an hour and 45 mins for delivery (we were originally told 50mins) and to make it worse we were also charged an extortionate delivery charge for it being late? We were also told that us spending £75+ on our order was nothing to them. Extremely rude customer service from placing the order to it finally being delivered, and once delivered the delivery driver continued to be rude. On top of all of this the food quality was extremely poor, the chips were stale and cold, the chicken was undercooked, and when ordering all salad on our kebabs all we got was brown lettuce with about 6 pieces of chicken. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE.

Just terrible all around, overpriced and the worst service ive ever had, chicken was raw and even had hairy compliments from the chef on my kebab. He even extended the time twice and was extremely late, was rude and condescending on arrival should i had not been hungry i wouldve sent that rude cretin back unpaid with the food

Parked near to this very busy site and it's Sunday. Why don't people have roasts instead like me.

Waited over an hour for delivery despite being told no more than 40 minutes. When the food arrived it was cold and soggy, so clearly just been sat around before being delivered. Very disappointed seeing as this supposed to cure my bank holiday hangover.

Right lets start.. Delivery takes 1 hour plus.. and when the food eventually turns up its asif its been microwaved. I have called to complain before now and was virbally insulted and argued againtst.. So to summerise! Staff are rude. Food is low standard. Would not reccomend.
