Thanks to Carter, Tom and all the folks we chatted to in the garden for making us feel so welcome. Fab pub, great beer and lovely company. Hope to see you again soon :) Mark & Harriet

Popped in yesterday to kill some time before kids pick up. Friendly barman and locals, call you over to chat if you're solo, enjoyed the well kept chestnut ale. Recommended.

Our group of three stopped at Carter's place for the night during our challenging Offa's Dyke hike and fairly enjoyed a good rest in a comfy room after a couple of pints in the pub below. Carter made us feel very welcome and let us use his kitchen for our dinner. He organized our breakfast in a nearby café, perfect for us! I would stay there again if I went back to Knighton :) Thank you Carter, only for you I would have quit walking the next day and gone home!

Great bar - the reviews said it was the best place in town and they were right. Nice selection of real ales and we brought in fish and chips from next door, as recommended by other reviewers.

There's a chippy next door that does very tasty fish and chips, and this pub lets you eat your takeaway in their bar or their beer garden if you buy a drink. Really friendly staff, great idea, happy to see the kids. Nice Czech lager on tap too.

This was the first visit for me and my family. I found the atmosphere, service, Ale and ambiance fabulous. A very welcoming unique little gem, a regular stop for us now. The bar staff and Carter will make you feel very welcome and the locals are lovely. What more can you ask? Good prices? Certainly, great value too. "What a diamond find." Malcolm Campbell

Comfortable beer focused venue. Relaxed vibe, serving real ale. Pop next door, buy fish and chips and come back and eat them with your beer; luxury!

This pub has a very different atmosphere to others in Knighton. Firstly, it offers Real Ales, which change regularly to allow Real Ale drinkers to sample different ales every month. The Ciders also change regularly, although the most popular cider stays. The second thing that stands out is that it's a real local. Everybody seems to know everyone else, yet they're still welcoming to strangers. It's also one of the cheapest in town; the wine was a fraction of that ordered in the largest pub just down the road. They allow dogs, and a local drinker often takes his cat in; at least to the beer garden in Summer. Apparently it jumps onto the wall when a dog appears and stares down, teasing the frustrated dog!

Stayed here last year, when I found myself in a really awkward situation. I have never come across someone who was as helpful, caring and generous spirited as Tom (the host). One of those sorts of people (who are very rare these days) who will go that last mile to help make you feel wanted and welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble. So much so, that I felt arrived as a stranger but left as a friend. Thank you so much for everythingTom. Youre the best!!

Only nipped in for a drink. Greeted warmly by who we think was the keener who suggested we could bring food from the chippy next door. Offered us cutlery. Selection of local brews on offer.

Wow, what a great value stay this is! Tom, the host, is so welcoming and helpful. Great facilities with the shared kitchen area and bathroom. Plenty of choice for breakfast the next morning and the fact that’s it’s self service makes it more convenient. We totally fell in love with Clementine the kitten and she spent most of the evening in our room 😁 Will definitely be back.

Love this pub so much! It’s so cool and friendly. You’d be daft not to go. This Friday, don’t miss Scottish Tom’s address to the haggis. Legend! Wouldn’t miss it for the world! Blew my socks of last year.

Got a really warm welcome from Tom the host. Was invited to join the regulars for cheese and wine and made to feel at home whilst working away. Friendly bar staff and nice, local beers. Room was lovely, there’s even a piano I managed to have a play on. Area is lovely, there’s plenty of nice places to eat and drink. You’re allowed to bring in fish and chips from next door. I absolutely loved it and would recommend to any one.

This is not about the pub but about the bnb above the pub, owned by the same owners. We stayed there for one night and loved it! Spacious room with comfortable bed and couch, shared bathroom and a continental breakfast for a very reasonable price. And very welcoming.

Stayed in Knighton last week on a short break. This was the best pub we visited . Great selection of local ale and cider and the owner was friendly and informative. If you are in the town, give it a go and you won't be disappointed.

Popped in while passing and found everyone very friendly and chatty. Nice selection of local ales and beers, you are not alone for long. I also believe that if as they do not sell food that you are welcome to buy fish and chips next door and eat them there.

Family live in Knucklas, near Knighton and I always request a visit to this little place due to how good the beer is! Honestly, they keep it exceptionally well and always have a good variety mixing between Stouts, IPA's etc. The decor and atmosphere is great and you are always made to feel welcome! Would recommend a visit to this place for sure!!

A great micropub serving real ales, ciders, gins and much more! We visited by accident as we called for fish and chips at Knighton Plaice next door. Watson's are happy for you to bring your food from next door and sit at their tables on the proviso that you buy a drink. They'll even supply you with plates, cutlery and condiments. Great beer, served with a lot of knowledge and really friendly staff.

Stopped in late on a weeknight and they were doing take away only, but as I was on my own they kindly set me up a table inside with a heater. Knocked me up the most amazing burger and fries really quickly, really impressed with the quality of the food. Very friendly, and I was really appreciative of you accommodating me so last minute.

Excellent. Booked a meal for a sunday and had the starter, which was tomato and red onion soup, which was amazing, followed by roast beef dinner, which was also amazing. Can't fault it at all. Reasonably priced, lovely service, friendly staff, and the food was spot on. So yes, I definitely recommend this, and they really deserve praise. Book early, though, as they are very busy to guarantee a table and time.

This is a delightful little cafe to stop and enjoy some food. There are customer toilets outside and upstairs. A lovely selection of cakes on the counter all at reasonable prices. I chose the brie bacon and cranberry panini, it was lovely, as if you couldn't tell by my picture 😀 The hot chocolate want to my taste as it tastes a bit too dark for me, but not sure. But that is just my opinion
