Recently moved to the area.I had Chinese from here a few weeks ago. I heard mixed reviews about the place. I phoned my order and was told it would be ready to collect in 20mins. I ordered the special chow main, sweet and sour chicken, spicy shedded beef, peeking sauce spare ribs and chicken fried rice. Over all the food was hot and tasty. Not the best Chinese in the world but would definitely order again.

Worst Chinese chicken curry I've ever had ! Was like eating artificial chicken with a pinch of salt. The chow mein was lacking flavour and was the second worst chow mein I've eaten to date. Prawn crackers were ten out of ten !

Ordered last night as I was staying local in Knighton. We ordered dry chow mein which was exactly that, dry and bland. The chicken curry was congealed with no flavour at all. Not even the chicken tasted like chicken 🤷🏻‍♂️ The prawn toast was good as well as the chips but the sweet and sour beef was bland, chewy and not what you'd expect sweet and sour to taste like. There's not a lot of choice in Knighton, possibly the only Chinese takeaway which is a shame. Save yourself the disappointment and the money and try something else.

Phoned and ordered saying it would take 10-15 minutes. Got there sat there for another 20 mins waiting for it to be cooked all whilst hearing microwaves pinging in the kitchen and the chef sneezing every minute. Got home and the chicken balls we ordered was slimy and the beef so cooked it belong at a crematorium

Lovely food, especially the mushroom chow mein. Orders are always correct and ready on pick up. It's a shame that payments can't be made by card or over the phone, but not that big a deal as there is a cash machine locally. Would definitely recommend.

Staying in llangunllo for the week had a Chinese twice , it was nice , clean and service was good

We have used this takeaway in the past, however we placed an order this evening. When we arrived to picked it up we were asked if this was what we ordered I said yes. We had driven 10 miles, when we got back to our holiday home we unpack the contents to our surprise it wasn't what we ordered. We then made a return journey of 20 miles to pick up the right order, just a sorry was given not even money for fuel or even a bag of prawn crackers were offered. We will think again about using this establishment again.

Excellent food, at the end of a dead end/access only if you're not a local. ordered 2 set meals for two and had plenty for a second meal. If you like spicy food this isn't it but is very tasty.

We moved into the area 7 months ago, and have used the Bamboo Garden regularly. It's food is as good as we've had anywhere else we've lived, and recommend it for quality and service. My wife thinks the Sweet and Sour chicken, Cantonese style is to die for.

Had a take away from here and it was lovely. Friendly service and food ready in no time. Nice and tasty with no complaints. Would go back again.

God mat mycket att välja på men enbart take away. Ligger högt upp i byn och nära en pub och bara om hörnet från vårt boende.

Been looking for a decent Chinese takeaway since moving into the area in 2018. Saw previous reviews and thought worth a try. Very disappointed the food we were given. Not a great deal of flavour in any of the dishes, best dish of seven we ordered was the “Ribs in sauce” starter but even that only worth two stars. Chicken and mushroom soups really poor, vegetable spring rolls flat and nothing inside them just the outer roll to eat - really rubbish. Will not use again so still looking.

Chow mein is really dry. the duck was abit dry. The chicken balls didn't have enough chicken. Everything else that we ordered was fine. Not as good as food in England.

Lovely food but they charge you for every change you make to a dish, for example no onions, It is not stated anywhere about this, also it is cash only which is poor practice in this day and age. But the food was nice and would recommend.

Visiting near Knighton for a week and had a takeaway from Bamboo Gardens. This was one of the best takeaways we have had in a while.

We ordered the set meal for four, and there was plenty there, even for breakfast. Had a bit of a wait while they prepared the food, but it was hot. Only problem it was "cash only" so we had to root around between us to pay.

Me and my partner ordered some food here and it was ready in 15mins. Chicken fried rice was tasty, chilli chicken slightly dry but nicely seasoned, chips were fresh and nice, duck pancakes were okay but duck a little too dry. Would recommend though!

The food is fabulous great quality and generous portions. Now our favourit family treat. Only downside is no cards taken as payment cash only. That said the local shops have atms nearby. Enjoy.

Rang and booked to collect and they said only 15 mins so very quick service. Only waited 5 minutes when we got there , friendly guy in there. Food was good, we had Singapore chow meine, special curry and chicken balls. Good value too

Excellent food and great service

The Bamboo Garden take away is at the top of Knighton's High Street. Parking is available at the top of the hill in Market street. The cuisine reviews suggest the meals on offer are of a high quality.

Totally amazing place, I finds myself in there at least once a week for feast and I have never been disappointed yet in years! Consistantly great quality and free wifi that sadly I never get to use fully as the orders are so quickly fulfilled. Very well done guys!

Our local Chinese takeaway, always pleasant staff with a good choice at competitive prices, we rang through the order and was waiting for us 20 minutes later, got it home nicely cooked and hot and meat is not fatty. Recommended

Not had a bad meal in over a year

Had a really nice takeaway from here. It was a little hard to find tucked down a side street but well worth a visit.

Used this Chinese for the first thing me last week and found d it good value for money. Food was nothing original but as expected. Salt and pepper chips were an interesting option. Given the local competition for Chinese it's pointless saying is better than others. Would go again. Shame it doesn't have a delivery service.

Had the quarter of crispy roast duck. Crispy was one sure way of listing it on the menu resembled bits of leather dry tasteless and cold really dehydrated cucumber and shredded spring onions complete with soggy pancakes and a really salty hoisin sauce. Tasted better from a supermarket!!!!!

Only had one takeaway from here during our short visit to Knighton - and must say it was delicious. Not at all greasy .. and very tasty.

We've been here a few times now. Every time, they're efficient and friendly. Usually lovely food. (Wasn't as good this last time.)

Love this when we don't feel like cooking, its tasty, the dishes actually taste different from each other, the hot and sour soup is delicious, and the noodles really good

It's our second visit here The salt & pepper chips are lovely & plenty of them. The food tastes nice & is piping hot. Would love them to add battered tofu balls to the menu.

Brilliant Chinese, lovely food and lovely people at a good price. Really could not ask for a better place to get a meal!

Lovely food here would not ask for a better Chinese to order from. They are lovely people with a good ready rate for their food, in some paces you would expect a 40 minute wait but here you would receive a 15-20 minute wait. Beautiful.

Firstly did find this place odd that it only takes cash & also doesn't deliver. Food was ok not alot of King prawns in my friends meal & no tofu offered on the menu.

Visiting the area I dropped into bamboo garden for a set meal for two. Fantastic grub with quality ingredients and very tasty. Far too much for us to eat. Will do for tomorrow too!. Wish I had one this good near to home!

Ford was ok but very average, not really a Chinese , more of a chippy that also sells chinese foods...

Absolutely fantastic and excellent , very nice local Chinese takeaway in Knighton with friendly staff , reasonable price, quick services and tasty, quality fresh food. It never disappoints every time when we order the food. we always enjoy the hot food and highly recommend sweet & sour chicken balls, spare ribs and salt and pepper chips.

There has been a Chinese at the top of the street for many years and owned or run by many different people. The ones that are there now are by far the best I can remember. The food is always good, hot and consistant. The takeaway is always busy now which is always a good sign. I've not had a bad meal from there since it re-opened.

We moved into the area last year and this is our closest Chinese takeaway and what a revelation! Hands down the best Chinese takeaway we have known (we have known quite a few ;-) . What is also great is how consistent it is. Over the year we have probably been around a dozen times and can honestly say, each meal has been as good as the last.
