Got a delivery off this Chinese tonight and I got to be honest I weren't impressed the chips was okay and spring rolls was okay but the fried rice was bland and I ordered BBQ sauce and didn't receive anything. Also the chicken balls was okay but nothing special all in all dissapointed having to eat my food without BBQ sauce as it made the dish as a total bland. Not to mention the BBQ ribs was just skin on bone and the little meat I had on there was nice though. Not to mention I spent over £40. Definitely won't be ordering from here again. Update: someone from this shop not long came to my house to speak to me (unfortunately I was in the bath) so my partner had to deal with him instead. Asking me to remove my review and said they'll offer us 2 free mains with our next order or something along these lines and can we remove our review. Absolutely not. In fact I'm promoting your review to a 1 star in fact I weren't a fan of the food so why would I order again after a poor experience? Secondly it's great you're willing to offer 2 mains with our next order but that should be regardless of if we remove our review or not if you're looking to give compensation for a bad experience. Again as stated not that I'd order again anyway in fact i would have appreciated it more if you just offered compensation and had ensured us the same mistake would not happen again Tbh it seemed from what I heard to be a bribe in order to just remove the review and thirdly my partner was there when the BBQ sauce was ordered and they claimed it weren't and my partner backed me up on that as she was next to me when the order was made and heard the entire conversation. Do not show up at my door again, or we will have a problem.

Munch-Box (Only at Central House)

This was a take away in response to the menu being hand delivered last week. To be perfectly truthful it was dreadful, crispy chicken was soggy and leathery in texture. Sorry but never again

Poor quality food. Used to be very popular a few years back and was even open lunch time, but quality has decreased rapidly following change of ownership a few years ago. It always used to be extremely busy. Food is very tasteless, and nothing is appealing about the food.

The food was delicious and the people working there are welcoming aswell.

We were exhausted after battling Wales new road works and decided on a Take away I honestly think the meal was lovely, massive spring rolls and special chow mein There was so much meat in it I had it for breakfast too ! Crispy duck , I’ve had better and worse Staff were lovely and meal ready 2 mins after the time I organised to collect Which means it was hot. Lovely

food was way too spicy curry looked gangrenous rice was oily and i now feel ill. but i did get a toy snail from the vender so all is well.

Chicken very watery and rubbery, curry sauce clearly a packet job, chicken balls were strips and the chips were frozen chips not chippy chips, as a former chef I can say the effort was sorely lacking, dont reccomend, kam kong much better

Had an altercation with male and female owners of the property and male had proceeded to grab me by the wrist without letting me leave as a young 22 y/o woman I was intimidated and felt I couldn’t escape. Escalated further to officers in area. I do not endorse this company please stay safe when visiting

I went into the shop to order and asked for a vegetarian Singapore Fried Rice as part of a small order for 2 people. When I got home, I was dismayed to find that my meal was not vegetarian and contained pork, beef and chicken pieces and also prawns. I did phone the shop to let them know but it was too far away to travel back there to return the meal. The guy I spoke to on the phone said to remind him of the mistake next time I order and he will give me a free meal but he doesn't know me and didn't even ask for my name. My husband said that his meal was okay, though.

Beef was raw, forgot coke bottle. No help whatsoever with the only reply being "we usually cook the beef" would give this company a miss!

Back in 2019 i refused to buy food from here but after they got assessed and given 4 for good hygiene i always use then. Ok you have to be specific when ordering especially curry. But they go out of their way for my family always get me what i want that is not even on the menu and vegatarian. They do need to fry rice longer if you ask they will accomadate. Very satisfactory meal for all since i have been reordering sinse summer 2021. Thanks guys keep being great :)

Have always used this fish shop and have never had any problems with the food or service.

We hadn’t ordered from this place in a long time because of the last bad experience. We thought we would give it a try again to see if the food was any better. It was absolutely disgusting! The food had definitely seen the microwave. The chips tasted as if they were a week old and very dry. The chicken balls... Let’s just say I don’t think they contained any chicken at all. They were rubbery and the batter just tasted like fat. Someone really has to look at this place, it needs to be shut down.

Disappointed very disappointed Ordered crispy chicken, spring rolls, special chow mein, chips and a burger Crispy chicken waa not crispy but rubbery. Spring rolls where the size of my little finger. Special chow mein was very bland with small ammount of noodles and again rubber undercooked chewy meat. The burger was plain/bland and hard The whole meal was reheated and served to me.. That was obvious as from my call to order the meal is was deliverd to my home at an extra cost (even though the meal was £20) ALL IN 25 MINUTES!!!! NO THANKS never again

Never ever again will we waste our money at this Chinese. I have never wrote a review on here before but this food was too awful not to warn others away. Disgusting food we are appalled. We ordered a delivery and when the food arrived it was cold, had to microwave each plate of food as it was that cold, the chicken curry had absolutely no taste to it and chicken pieces were disgusting, the bbq sauce also tasteless and bland no flavour to it whatsoever. Chicken balls were mainly batter. The spring rolls we hadn’t bothered to microwave but they were soggy not crispy as they should be. My partner will eat anything and even he said how disgusting it was and left the plate of food after giving it a go. He said he wouldn’t feed it to the dog. I am so annoyed that this place is allowed to sell this rubbish quality of food, I have no idea how anyone would order from here again. Money and time wasted on waiting for the delivery.

Ordered food from here tonight only chicken chow mein and crispy beef food was awful wasn't hot to start with and the chow mein was disgraceful all on top of it was lumpy jelly sauce and the chicken was like bits of jelly on it wouldn't feed it to an animal really disappointed with the food only went as Ming kee in ystalyfera normally first choice but was closed will never ever eat from here again appauling!!

Crispy beef 是最脆的，Chicken ball 是最好的size，Satay chicken on skewers 一直是最值得一试的，Ｃombination 由5种头盘组成的，Singapore noodle 是最好吃的面条，招牌饭的鸡片和叉烧很大块哦 ！

Disgusting wouldn't go there again

Order completely wrong, but the two different meals I got tasted exactly the same. Had some spring rolls which contained nothing but bean sprouts.

Always lovley chicken meatballs, with curry sauce, egg fried rice and chips. Would go there time and time again.

Delivery to heronstone lodges Nearly 1hr and a half delivery time. Food was hot and tasty. Good value for money.

Call themselves a Chinese and a fish and chip bar...... What a cheek. Ordered two chicken breasts and chips. Chips are your regular Chinese chips and not chip shop. Plus 3.30 for the smallest dryest piece of chicken known to man. With a half hour wait for the food to add insult to injury. Absolutely dismal experience and won't be going again.

Wehave been regular customers of Central House for a number of years and always had consistently excellent food, we travelled 12 miles to this takeaway passing others on the way.Not sure what's gone wrong but the last three meals we've had have been dreadful. Never again!!

This Chinese Take-Away was a regular of ours. We would invite friends and family to our house so we could order a Chinese. We are not sure if there is new management but I am sorry, something has gone dreadfully wrong. We should have realised when phoning to order a take-away, we were quoted 10 minutes (usually at least half and hour) and upon entering the premises, there was nobody in there apart from two members of staff. The standard of food is poor and the prices have gone up. We shall not be returning I'm sorry to say, we did give it one more try, again nobody in sight, such a shame this was a really popular take-away.

As a vegetarian of around 20 years I ordered a vegetarian dish and beef curry and chips for husband. When I got home and put out the food tiny pieces of chicken, then the tiniest of prawns appeared in my vegetarian meal. I rang as this is completely unacceptable to be told to let them know next time I was in and I could have a free meal! Not much concern at all. As I didn't have the meal I had paid for I don't see how it would have been a free meal. I can't remember exactly what I said but I asked for the delivery of the correct meal which did arrive with three free fortune cookies. I didn't enjoy the food having been put off. It must have been a bad night although it was very quiet as the beef curry was left off the initial order but that was easily spotted when we paid. I have given three stars simply because the meal was delivered. Any vegetarians reading this will understand how I felt.

My family and I use Central House as our 'regular' Chinese takeaway. Food always lovely with decent sized portions!

Ordered on just eat whilst on holiday, was a big order for 7 and it was awful, nasty chips and vile tasting. I ordered chicken and chips and spent most of the night on the loo! Would no recommend it at all

I should have thought something was up when the people behind the counter were wearing dressing gowns at 1700, the order was mostly wrong, one of the dishes was completely inedible as it was some sort of boiled chicken in some sort of sauce(not sure what it is as it wasn't something we ordered. The Sweet and sour chicken balls we greasy and the chicken was grey, the sweet and sour sauce was not sweet and sour sauce, It may have been something like BBQ sauce but im not even sure, the chips were ok. The BBQ Ribs (we guess as again not what we ordered) was ok, No idea why we didn't get what we ordered either as they wrote it all down and we were the only ones in there at the time, It was almost as if they had some spare stuff left over and just threw it all in our bag. Will never order from them again, also only has 3 food hygiene stars which i normally would have steered clear of, Wish i had followed my own rules this time.

Fair prices. Friendly staff. Freshly cooked quite often.
