New Dragon Chinese Takeaway in Powys

Awful! Not only was the food half cooked- chicken pink, batter full of grease and doughy, chips hard! Even the prawn crackers were not cooked. Hard bits to the point it chipped my son’s tooth. Half the order missing. The tubs the food came in were only a quarter full- pork in black pepper sauce- 4 thin pieces of pork and 2 black mushrooms. The rice resembled rice pudding! Complete rip off! I have no idea how they are still trading? Maybe it’s because they are the only Chinese takeaway that deliver in the area???? Positives- Ruth front of house… very polite and the delivery person! Other than that…. Horrendous

I only order from here as it offers delivery but how disappointing. Chicken balls we just covered in an awful batter. The chips were nice. The curry sauce is awfully sweet not how it was before and lastly the salt n pepper meal was just awful, so soggy and sweaty due to being in bag instead of a box. This takeaway used to be not half bad but wow. Just shocking

Had a takeaway from here. The egg fried rice was not anything of the sort. It was just boiled rice with the tiniest little bit of scrambled egg stirred through it. Not fried, no flavouring, just white rice and bland. Smelled like a microwavable heat pack. Chicken balls were just regular chicken breast (not prepared in the standard Chinese takeaway style) in way too much bad batter. Only nice thing was the chips. Spring rolls are edible but not great. I hate leaving bad reviews as people can be so dramatic but truly, I would absolutely not recommend this place. One of the worst I've ever had :(

Love love love this Chinese. Best one in Brecon by far. We always get the crispy shredded beef and the special friend rice is amazing. We’ll be back! Lovely friendly service too.

The food was a solid 10/10. As a veggie we appreciated the many options, if you’re veggie I would recommend the vegetable satay! The biggest let down would be the two hour wait…

Amazing food! We're not from the area, but camping - delivery to the campsite was excellent! Friendly driver. My partner says that was the best curry hes had from a Chinese take away! If we stay again we'll definitely reorder! :)

Very disappointed when I ordered chicken Cantonese style sweet and sour they had used some Aldi chicken poppers instead of prepping it themselves!! Seriously lazy and won’t be using them again.

chicken satey skewers are banging

I use this restaurant once a month. Normally no issues but have never ordered a duck dish before. You expect the skin on the meat but this was more skin than anything else. Big strips of meatless skin. Very disappointed

Chicken leg seems like chicken is going to wake up. Worst of the worst food i have ever tasted. Fried rice is low quality. Curry sauce is sweet. If there was a minus review then i would give it.

Order placed with expected delivery time of 8.20-8.45, later changed to 9.15. Its now 9.45 and no delivery, and no answer when I call the restaurant to ask where the food I paid for is!!

we rang up and placed an order at 7:40 and never received our food, we have tried calling the restaurant multiple times and received no answer, we won’t be ordering from here again

Delivery fine. We have ordered from Here numerous times but last night the city sauce was way too hot. So hot in fact we couldn't eat it. It even near brought on an asthma attack with myself.

Not entirely happy today feel like I had a technical error tonight with my order, I ordered 2 cans of 7up with my meal and one portion of chips I ended up with 2 portions of chips and one can of 7 up and ordered the wrong spring rolls but the spring rolls wrongly chosen was my bad. Delivery was good and the food was nice. Although if the 2nd chips was a good Will gesture thank you. I appreciate it.

“Crispy” beef wasn’t crispy. It was soggy, soft & limp. “Cantonese chicken” the chicken was awful, it was popcorn chicken in sweet & sour sauce. £49 order - no free spring rolls or prawn crackers. Disappointed with our order, it was a treat whilst on holiday.
