The best restaurants in Ceredigion Mid Wales

Excellent service as soon as we walked in. Food was fresh and fast. Would come again for sure.

We order here last night and it was perfect. Big portions, more than enough and more. Had the chicken shish with salad and chips. The salad came separately which was a nice touch and presentation was perfect. The staff were nice and the food came hot and quickly.

Nice friendly place. Drinks a little expensive but there is a nice selection to choose from

Never been there but the picture of a dog on the bed has persuaded me never to book it.

Ordered takeaway. Told us would be 30 mins 1 hour 11mins later and I’m still waiting. Awful customer service all they had to say “if receipt isn’t in our kitchen it must of left” “yes the food left half an hour ago” Awful. DO NOT RECOMMEND

They were understaffed for a holiday weekend. Other than that the service was good, though wait times to order were long. I took away a full star because we came to watch the formula 1 grand prix, which they advertised on sign outside. We were enjoying the race with a couple of local people we met, then the staff turned the race off 2/3 of the way through. Switched over to a football game in the middle of the race. That was quite disappointing.

The lady who took my order was abrupt and did not have a friendly manner. We found Express Fish and Chips expensive and the food was below par. Our order was a takeaway order, and despite asking for salt and vinegar on the chips, there was none. Fortunately, I checked the order before leaving, as some of the food was missing. There was no apology, and our food (£33 for four people) was merely placed on the counter. It was far too much to carry, and I had to ask for a bag. We wouldn't return.

A great dog friendly pub that offers good food and massive portions. Friendly staff and a real happy local pub that is pleasantly busy but not rowdy or unwelcoming... Ideally located near to the castle and other tourist attractions.

I had the Mediterranean Tart, except they'd run out so it was replaced with two tasteless veggie sausages. The vegetables were horribly overcooked to the point of mush. The gravy was copious but flavorless. Terrible meal.

They charged me 80p for hot water, I understand 40p for a disposable cup but 40p for hot water???

No atmosphere as its a takeaway ! Food great though.

Not impressed having a dog on your shoulder while serving. Surely that's not hygienic. Hands should be washed.

On first impressions this inn is not very pleasant. The pub below is popular and therefore at night it can get quite loud, which is to be expected especially on a weekend. The staff are polite and friendly and the room was very clean. The beds are comfortable and allowed for a good sleep. This stay suited us well as we were not doing to be using the room throughout the days. Really appreciated having a set separate entrance and exist with our own provided key. Would stay again
