Proper old fashioned chippy, food cooked fresh in front of you, always friendly staff, and nice to have the option to sit in or takeaway, just note it’s cash only, not an issue but worth noting to take cash with you, fair prices as well.

The restaurant was clean, but there was a large stack of boxes on some of the seats. It was quite cool, so we had to keep coats on. Out of 4 orders, they didn't have 2 of the meals we wanted, so had to order alternatives. Food was good and reasonably priced. Staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. No parking available. Although it is all on 1 level, no steps, it's quite compact, so you would struggle with a wheelchair.

Went for food with my elderly disabled parents and daughter and the guy literally could not do enough for us. The fish was flaky with no bones or skin, fat chips not greasy. Quiet which was good for us but a shame for business. All cooked fresh to order so was lovely and hot. Will definitely return. It had put me off the poor offering I can get locally it was so good.

Después de varios años de darle una falta a la Central (ya que está en un lugar complicado para aparcar) , le pedí a mi marido que nos invitara a una cena picante allí esta noche para un regalo. Al llegar, le dijeron que no aceptaban tarjeta, solo efectivo, por lo que tuvo que caminar hasta un cajero para retirar dinero. TRES veces declaró la orden que incluía una pequeña porción de chipa para nuestro hijo, y sin siquiera preguntar de antemano, la señora que servía vertió vinagre y sal encima de las papas fritas. A medida que crecía la cola en la comida para llevar, la señora parecía distraída, y mi esposo terminó volviendo a casa con el pedido, menos las pequeñas papas fritas que había solicitado, lo que es un buen trabajo, ya que mi hijo tenía evitaciones de comida debido a su autismo. Una pena como esta solía ser mi comida favorita cuando era más joven para sus patatas fritas y salsa de curry almuerzo, definitivamente se evitará a partir de ahora.

We ate in, I had a lovely grilled cod with chips and my partner had a veggie lasagne (which she described as restaurant quality). Polite, friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Ordered a takeaway from here and no one was behind the counter and when there was she took her sweet time making my order. The chips and pie were quite dry and had no taste to it. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!

In a middle of our journey to Pembrokeshire, life saver. We didn't trust Google maps opening times and stopped by, thankfully. Fish and chips is a traditional part of our travels. This chippie fulfilled expectations. Liked curry sauce, mushy peas was not mushy and seasoned. Take it away to the beach or castle and enjoy picturesque views or just stay in in cosy town centre.

Good food, very good coffee, but while we were eating, they were cleaning with a broom and a mop, and I didn't like that either. It's not hygienic.

Es como si... hubieran dejado de preocuparse por vender pasteles de pescado rancios y patatas fritas sin cocinar, yo llegara muy lejos para volver y quejarme. No volveré a ir. ¡Desperdicio de dinero y fue asqueroso!

Service, staff, food and cleanliness were ALL excellent. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The fish was lovely with a light crisp batter. The chips too were a generous portion and delicious. Crispy outside, fluffy inside and fried to perfection, not at all greasy. I always find that the BEST seaside Fish and Chip shops are never on the front promenade. They always tend to be back a few streets and a bit further into the town. It's not hard to find though. just down the road from the Train station and 'Spoons. Plenty of nice booths if you want to eat in, or it's only a few hundred feet to the beach. Aberystwyth's Pearl of a proper fish and chip shop.

Overpriced. The chips were undercooked and the fish portion small, overall a disappointing experience, so I shall not be going back here

Good quality food but the staff is a bit chaotic. The interior looks a bit outdated but in a charming way. Hard to find a parking place but it's very central in Aberystwyth. It's definitely worth a try. You might like it or not.

It's a chip shop. It's 2024. They won't sell you a bag of chips on a card unless you spend over £5. I know some libertarian wingnuts want to keep cash going, but refusing to take cards under £5 is ridiculous. Card companies charge a %, not a fixed fee, so what's the difference. On the plus side, it was completely empty, so presumably they have some other strategy for making money.

Excellent fish and chips. The cod was freshly cooked as we waited, nothing was greasy. Chips were crispy and fluffy in the middle. Even the sausage was tasty. I would avoid the touristy places and go to one of the the more local places like this.

Just arrived and wanted some nice local fish and chips, and we saw this place on our way back from grabbing some supplies at Tesco . Don’t bother with the touristy spots near the sea, this was a really good fish and chips.

Brilliant fish and chip takeaway and restaurant 😋, we had fish and chips and peas with a tea and a coffee, fish was lovely not greaseie at all chips were lovely, only down side is the space between the table but there again I am 6,5 lol . Thanks guys .

Nice family run restraunt, food was okay and the price was alright for what it was. The milkshakes are made with cat milkshake liquid. Confusing menu when dining in, the seating might need a revamp too.

Definitely the best chips in Ceredigion, not just Aberystwyth, and all round excellent fish & chips . It’s not a well appointed upscale restaurant, has more of a very comfortable cafe feel, but it is 100% good honest fayre served by friendly and professional owners at a very reasonable price . It’s just a five minute walk to the seafront and the Castle so if you want great Fish & Chips to takeaway and eat in the fresh air this is definitely the place . Fantastic food at the right price to eat in or takeaway, highly recommended .

Got over charged for curry sauce, which was not hot enough, Had jumbo sausage and chips curry sauce £7.90 so that made curry sauce £2.40 so over priced or over charge said peas and curry £1.10 Came across as staff being rude Ask they ask what you want as soon as you walk through door No parking

This place is a great old school fish n chips eat i'n. Take your time and fine inside. Have a pot of tea. Enjoy all the stories going o'n at the other table. And eat a great plate of haddok o'r cod and chips. Light batter o'n fish. Taste potato i'n the chips. Was great. Yes that gravy with my fish and chips. Just wanted to dip a few chips i'n as a starter. Fair Play.

Outstanding cod and chips. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Cafe is a little basic, with banquettes packed closely together, but a highlight of my visit and well worth the short walk from the centre of town.
