Stunning Cardiff Wedding Venue – Insole Court
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As a South Wales wedding photographer, I always love shooting at Insole Court in Cardiff. This Victorian Gothic mansion is full of character – the grand architecture and beautifully kept gardens make it a dream location for timeless wedding photos.
Inside, the light-filled rooms are perfect for capturing real, emotional moments throughout the day. Outside, the gardens are magical – ideal for romantic portraits, golden hour shots, and relaxed couple time away from the crowds.
The venue team are always welcoming and professional, helping the day run smoothly so couples (and suppliers!) can just enjoy the experience.
If you’re looking for a Cardiff wedding venue with history, charm, and loads of photo potential – Insole Court is a fantastic choice.

Another first class lunch , not even the digital demons could spoil it
Well.done Steve and crew for keeping it together , another Saturday smile for us
During my stay in Llandudno, I had a lovely candlelit dinner at Osborne's Café Grill, where the £35 three-course menu was well worth it. I started with an Old Bay crayfish fritter paired with classic American cocktail sauce - crispy and full of flavour. For the main, I went for a medium-rare rib-eye steak. The presentation might’ve hidden the mash and veg, but it was a solid and satisfying dish. The highlight, though, was dessert: a rich dark chocolate pot topped with silky Drambuie cream—easily the standout of the evening.
Absolutely adorable cosy cafe, warm , welcoming, super friendly staff and gorgeous food. Sorry no photos, I took one look at my food and couldn't wait to get stuck in!! (Cwtch veggie stack, spiced apple cake & hazelnut latte) Superb!

We went here for a family dinner. The food was excellent, the service really good. It was quiet but it is a Tuesday evening. Lovely place for a nice dinner and a drink.
Family of six went twice in a week. A huge selection of flavours and great value.
12 different flavours tested in one week. All amazing.
Good speedy service too.
A must visit.
Was really looking forward to this meal but left disappointed. Felt rushed from the time we arrived, booked early evening 5.30 to avoid busier times, only 1 other couple there when we arrived, so can’t see what the hurry was. Given menus and asked to order almost immediately, had to ask for drinks so we could at least read the menu, still ended up ordering in haste so didn’t order sides and went with a complete dish to avoid further pondering.
Once the meal was served the service disappeared completely!
The meal itself was flavourful but the prawn starter in a crust still had shell underneath, which wasn’t pleasant. Would have ordered dessert and more drinks but the wait for service was so long we just asked for the bill which still took an eternity. Service poor, napkins taken away had to ask for some. The restaurant did get busier so understand the staff were under pressure with a restaurant and takeaway operating.
Atmosphere was pretty flat, some low music may have drowned out the constantly ringing phone and alarms. The restaurant itself was in need of a good cleaning and decorating but the tableware was spotless.
Probably wouldn’t return sadly ☹️
This is a community pub and it sits in the beautiful village of Pennal.
Service is friendly and accommodating. The food is great and to miss this gem would be a shame. Pennal is a quiet village between the cultured town of Machynlleth and the Aberdyfi beaches. Ideal for all ages. Highly recommended.
It's a warm, intimate, and welcoming hidden gem. With its cosy, relaxed vibe and authentic wood-fired pizzas made right before your eyes, the craftsmanship shines through in every bite—simply par excellence!
Visited here on Wednesday evening hadn’t booked but they managed to fit us in as it was busy.
Really enjoyed our meal , we had the lamb skewers which where very tender and also shared the chicken dish with mushrooms and peppers which was also really good ,both came with salad and rice and we had a starter to share of tzatziki with bread which was delicious .
Definitely recommend dining here , we will be back hopefully soon.
