The best restaurants in Scotland

Aye, could do with some money spending on it, really sad little place, such a shame as it has decent punters who would readily drink the place dry. There have been some attempts at upgrading but there is a long way to go!!

A 2 min drive from our holiday let and a great experience. Saturday early evening dinner with our dog. Friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable seating in a beautiful location. The food was served quickly and was freshly cooked. Pigeon and black pudding starter, steak, and fish mains plus a couple of fantastic puddings. Almost perfect (the medium rare steak was closer to medium well) meal and I would happily recommend to anyone in tgee area.

13 of us and a dog visited last weekend . Lovely cafe with super ,helpful staff. We all enjoyed our meal . Very tasty food. Good value. Highly recommend

Best fried rice I’ve had in a very long time ! chicken balls were absolutely perfect and not greasy , chow mein loads better than everywhere . Chips ! Just perfect ! Very authentic food ( well what us Scot’s expect ) 5 *

Eigentlich wollten wir nur einen Tee trinken. Aber dann sahen wir der Sticky Toffee Cake hat uns einen Strich durch unseren Plan gemacht.....einfach nur großartig!!!!!

Asked for a gin and tonic. They told me they don’t do cocktails

Went in for lunch today!! Absolutely fantastic food with proper homemade chips! Excellent value! Will definitely return!

I tried waffles and the waffles is amazing

We came on a Sunday night about a month ago, I had heard good reviews about the place, but I have to say our meal was terrible. The Balmoral chicken was a plate with some mashed potato a thin layer of haggis and the driest piece of chicken I've ever saw and a few minutes later the sauce came. The curry was tasteless the sweet and sour sauce was like a chutney than a sauce all in all it felt like we got the left overs would not rush back

We only popped in for one drink but ended up spending the whole afternoon here. Had a great time. Nice people behind the bar and would definitely recommend the pies.

Excellent meal, perfectly cooked by head chef Sean. Professionally served by Willie and Gemma. I had the brie then the roast beef. Perfectly cooked. Claire had the pate, George's home made recipe, then the scampi. Well done team .. 11 out of 10 xx

First timing going very nice chicken dish.

Great staff. Good portions well priced. Stayed overnight in car park free use of toilets while cafe open. Short walk to loch.
