Great staff. Good portions well priced. Stayed overnight in car park free use of toilets while cafe open. Short walk to loch.

We had a takeaway, 2 coffees (flat whites) 1 sausage roll and 1 cornish pasty. £19.90 all in. The coffees were good but not spectacular. Cornish pasty was regular size and good. The sausage roll cost a few pence short of £6 and was tiny (see photo). If the sausage roll was twice the size I would maybe have given 4 stars. Might call in again for a coffee but I will probably go to the other place in Dalwhinnie just along the road.

Great find just off of main A9 and well worth the few minutes diversion. Clearly using good quality produce the food was great and the coffee equally good. Service rounded off what was a nice breakfast stop!

Casual but well organised cafe providing regular and specialist homely dishes with perky staff. Enjoyed our lunch here. Recommended.

We were also were lucky to park there overnight in our motorhome. Definitely lovely little Gem of a place and lovely to see many folk using it 👍👏

Really disappointed. I asked for extra hot water for my tea as I like a milky and weak tea. After I had paid I was told they would have to charge me extra for that. So I only had a small amount of tea before it was undrinkable. First time I have ever heard this. We will not revisit .

I loved this place. First time there on my own with my dog - I chose to stop here instead of House of Bruar. Delighted I did - great menu and food, staff very friendly, and very welcoming of dogs. Definitely worth hopping off the A9 for! Highly recommend.

We visited The Apiary on a tour of Scotland. The staff were friendly, the fires were lit & the food was plentiful & delicious. Nice that it was pet friendly too. If only we lived closer it would be a regular haunt. Thank you.

'Found this' last year when my usual stopping off point at The Deerstalker was closed, and been there a couple of times. Really nice wee place with top quality food and drink. Staff were friendly and helpful, and great choices for brunch. This is my new favourite staging post when heading up north!

Ordered the breakfast roll, food was really good, they managed to get the egg perfect however there was a very limited menu and full breakfasts weren’t available which could be added to improve. Friendly staff and a homely vibe.

Re-reviewing as it's been a year, and I'm now a wheelchair user. Will that change things? To be blunt, no. If anything, it's gone up in my estimation. Staff couldn't do enough to help. The café is wheelchair accessible via a concrete ramp. The double doors were shut, but on both arrival and exit staff jumped straight to unlock the second door without needing asked. Chairs at the tables are movable and the young lad on duty helped to get us seated. Food was just as good, we had breakfast rolls and a couple of "Scottish BLTs" this time. If there is one quibble, it was that the bacon was all underdone, so I'd suggest specifying if you like your bacon well cooked. Definitely still the place to go in Dalwhinnie. In fact, this time we *did* go specifically so you can pat yourselves on the back for achieving that aim!

This cafe is tucked away off a main road, with a large car park outside. The restaurant is dog friendly and offers lot of savoury and sweet treats, alongside local beers and drinks. We stopped by for a lunch time snack, with a breakfast roll, followed by some cake and some ice cream. Very friendly staff and pricing is generally reasonable.

Very nice food, pleasant environment, a tad pricey. Interesting cafe, lots of choices (less so for vegetarians), good selection of eye catching cakes.

We visited while travelling to the Dalwhinnie Distillery, and were so glad we had! The food was lovely and beautifully presented. They had a wonderful selection of cakes, which sadly I didn't get a chance to try. I noticed they also had gluten free and vegan options available. The staff were super friendly, and it was generally a lovely experience!

We visited The Apiary café for breakfast on Monday the 26th of August 2024. We received a warm welcome, great service and the breakfast bap was just outstanding! Everything was so tasty and perfectly prepared. It is very evident that there is attention to detail and a real focus on quality ingredients in everything they do. We also bought some honey and coasters to take with us as a souvenir. Highly recommend this place if you find yourself anywhere near Dalwhinnie.

Went for a tea and coffee. Asked for oat milk, paid for oat milk, got cows milk. Beware or triple check what is put in your drink especially if you are allergic.

Fabulous evening at Peets, food was delicious and very reasonably priced for the portions. Seafood platter was lovely and fresh and didn’t disappoint! Did require booking as was full for walk ins. Staff very friendly, we would definitely return !

We know the Tongue area very well, and like to eat locally, so it was obvious we would decide to eat at the Craggan, and i'm happy we did! The restaurant area is welcoming and clean, staff friendly, and the car park was easy even with a big van. The only problem was choosing from the menu! So many tasty things - i wish we had more time to visit again.. All three of us enjoyed our food, and we shared everything so i know it was all delicious. Thank you for making a rather wet evening so special..

We had a wonderful diner with perfect plates of local cheese, dried meat and bread served with a perfect wine. Thanks a lot for the perfect diner.
