We needed a quick dinner in town as we were just passing through and staying at a B&B for the evening. The food was hot, delicious and plentiful. It was ready very quickly and the staff were very kind. We would highly recommend! We had the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice.
It's a pub which serves great food. Better than some restaurants we've ate at. No complaints whatsoever on all the dishes that we ate. Can be very busy on certain days and popular times so book ahead to be sure. Only usual comment is pity they don't do more for vegetarians.

Rude and ignorant Boss man. Slow service. Watched him picking his nose and wiping it with finger then handling raw scallops with bare hands. Pointed out what he had done and no apology just rude. I asked for my money back.
I have been to this cafe a few times when staying in Morningside, I ordered 2 fried eggs on toast which was £8.95. I received 1 slice of toast with what I can only describe as 2 smashed overcooked fried eggs. A good fried egg should have a runny yolk. Very disappointed 1 slice of bread 2 eggs and a small salad for £8.95 you would think you would at least get 2 slices of bread and descently cooked eggs. I didn’t complain as I was in a hurry but why would you send the eggs out like that if you know how to cook an egg?
What a lovely cafe / tearoom, friendly staff in a quaint setup. We ordered a soup and sandwich deal. A nice bowl of piping hot soup and a lovely hand made sandwich on crusty bread, very tasty.
Good value for money, nice warm casual atmosphere, well worth a visit.
Me and my wife wandered in after a meal down the road, we are glad we did! The decor was lovely, the staff attentive and the drinks flowed.
The service was good, table only, due to restrictions but this wasn't an issue. The young gent serving us was chatty, friendly and knowledgeable.
We had a mixture or cocktails and beers, all great, the prices are also reasonable.
Would recommend, a little out of the way but worth a visit!
Ate here with friends and was very impressed with how excellent the table service was. Attentive and prompt, polite service made sure our meal was relaxed and enjoyable. We chose simple options from the menu - so I couldn’t comment on the fancier choices on offer here- but we were really happy with the quality and presentation of the meals and the overall experience was very pleasant and relaxed. Again - the service here is excellent and they are really nailing that.

Very nice restaurant! We ordered the clay pot rice with spare ribs, the spinach & preserved eggs soup, and the cheung fun. The rice & the soup were so good we definitely will come back if we travel to Glasgow again. We pre-ordered the clay pot rice through phone call 20 mins before arrival and the food was ready when we got there. We also had the milk tea - it was delicious & we liked that it was not too sweet. The lady who served us was quite friendly & helpful - but she's the only one there so service can be sometimes slow. Overall we had a great experience and highly recommend this place & the clay pot rice together with the spinach & preserved eggs soup!
