Lovely fresh seafood. Great fish and chips for kids !

Located in the fun Victorian Market, the food was AMAZING! So was the presentation! The service was great and quick.

Had a wonderful birthday lunch at the Victorian market redshank followed by dinner at the redshank at the marina! One not to miss for friendly staff and the most amazing fresh seafood, all local and seriously amazing! Thank you guys xx

My son and I had two versions of the delicious Haddock Wraps. So fresh, and lovely crispy batter. I was offered a complimentary lemon posset for mothers day which was much appreciated, and was light and refreshing. 100% recommend 👌

Good quality food (the BEST fries!), a friendly approach, reasonable prices. It is located in the Victorian Market, so you sit in an open area (not outside, so it was not cold) available for other restaurants around. One of those places to return to!

Fish and chips -£14 for a fish in soggy batter and the size of a sardine - cheap frozen chips - an insult to the fish and chip trade - you should be ashamed to serve such rubbish. It went straight in the bin!!

First time visiting Inverness...loved it!! Wandered into the Victorian Market and was pleasantly surprised to find so many options. The Redshank offered fresh, tasty fish and good service at reasonable prices. I even found a friendly local couple to share a table and a chat over lunch.

Delicious fish and chips, I got the small which was a perfect lunch size for me (as I had room for dessert then!). Thank you ❤️

Inventive fish finger sandwich with egg, tartar sauce, and peas the combo is stacked on doorstep bread healthy sized serving and excellent Cullen skank rivals some of the best I’ve had throughout Scotland. Worth a lunch visit!

Excellent selection of food on offer with great quality top notch ingredients, a rare thing today. Wonderfully helpful staff, Also a great eating in experience in the market hall if you require a pitstop. Well recommended don't miss out.

I wandered in, about 2pm. Some of the food looked nice, and I would have tried some, but I couldn't see any signs explaining the system of ordering and payment. I waited for a member of staff to ask if I needed help, they weren't busy, but ignored me. So I left.....

I decided to visit The Redshank despite reading some very harsh reviews, and I’m so glad I gave it a chance! I ordered the battered haddock wrap with cajun mayo and pickled chillies, paired with a side of salt and pepper squid, and it was absolutely delicious. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and everything was perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was lovely, with great lighting and even some live music. While I didn’t manage to get the best photo of my meal, I can’t recommend this place enough to seafood lovers—it’s a gem!

Small portion size. Fish and chips £9. Very small fish, chips very hard, .some hand cut or better quality chips would have helped the meal. The fish finger sandwich was not good. Everything was cold ,too many leaves, tin sliced egg , 3 fingers some peas smothered in mayo. We complained and. We were met with indifference, and unhelpfulness, if we didn't want it they'd bin it and we could reorder and pay again. We won't be returning to this eatery.

Good place for takeaway Fish and Chips in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the market.

Insane! The food here is insane. Simple. Don't even think about it. Just go. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend everything but the haddock wrap and fish finger sandwiches get a special mention 😋

Friday/ Saturday (Sunday?) Breakfast, 7 day Lunch to early evening meals. Although check their hours as they do vary seasonally. Superb breakfast crumpets, kippers, and waffles; and fish and chips later in the day. Plus weekly / daily specials (these can be superb but I gave found them sometimes over salty). Same company known for their mobile catering.

Was massively disappointed after driving all the way from Perth to Inverness for the pop-up that servers duck down by the river only to find it wasn't there (even though it said on their facebook it was) Luckily my daughter said she knows I place that I'll love, and she certainly wasn't wrong. Went to Redshank in the Victorian Market. It's one of these menu's that just has everything you'd happily eat without questioning. I opted for the Xmas King Scallop Taco's and the seaweed fries, my goodness did this deliver. Great portion, massive scallops, and quite frankly just divine. The other businesses in the market all looked to be serving equally lovely things, but Im doubtful that any of them will top these Taco's. Get yourself there asap. You'll thank me (and them)

It’s been a while but this was the best Cullen skink I’ve ever had.

Fantastic food at fair prices – absolute recommendation! We loved this fish and chips restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious - the fish crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the fries fried to perfection. The portions are generous and the quality surpasses many more expensive restaurants. Particularly noteworthy are the fair prices. You really get a lot for your money without sacrificing taste or quality. The service was also first class. The staff was super friendly, attentive and made sure we felt completely comfortable. We'll definitely be back!

Food was amazing! We ordered the scallop wrap, cod wings, chilli squid bites and haddock wrap. All freshly prepared and very tasty! All served with a smile :)

So the food was good especially the Cullen Shrink Soup yummy! However it is rather disconcerting when you sit watching the staff preparing other, & your order and in a 20min period nobody washes their hands. Not even the guy who returned from smoking or when he put his clipboard down to make an order. Is it so very difficult to maintain good hand hygiene? For this reason I would not come back

The Redshank Fish Finger Sandwich was by far the best I've ever had!

The staff was super sweet and helpful. I ordered the hot smoked salmon roll and it was so good. The portion size was massive I had to take the rest to go. Their fried shrimp was really good as well. Highly recommend!!

I ordered the Cullen skink and haddock wrap, and they were pretty nommy. Located in Victorian Market, this unassuming shop has killer food.

Unfortunately, the Cullen skink soup was disappointing and didn’t represent the traditional Scottish dish well. There was no fish in it, and it seemed to contain a lot of flour, which affected the taste and texture. The service was quick, but that was the only positive aspect of the experience.

Don't forget that it is a fast food place. And to be like that, the truth is that it is quite good. At peak times there is a lot of demand and if they have to fulfill a takeaway order, you have to wait. The culmen skink soup is very good. The fish and chip was pretty good.

I probably should not have expected much from a food hall shop, but the fish and chips are not worth it. The chips were fine, but the fish was bland, tasteless. I’m not sure if they make their own, but I didn’t care for the tartar sauce either, it was off.

Great fish and chips, the donut batter is super crispy, the fish super fresh. The fries are crispy. A treat!

Fresh food, made with care. The seasonal menu allows you to enjoy the best of the west coast, easily from the city centre. Love to come back and find somthing new to try. Staff are cheerful, helpful and allways return a smile!

Friendly staff serving up delicious grub in a buzzing food court. Loaded fries were delicious and the milkshakes are life changing.

Don't try the cullen skink, it's the worst out of all the cullen skink I've tried throughout Scotland. Just awful. The fish and chips were average. Their fries with seaweed were good! I'd skip this place.

Great spot for fresh seafood, and portion sizes were huge!

They don't even have a third of the dishes they advertise on Google images. The salmon salad had 3 small pieces of salmon and the rest roughage. And to make matters worse, the only market stall that sold beers is closed due to prohibition. The good thing is that if you bother you can take cans because they have left everything open (I haven't dared)

Always have fish and chips, and always great, but decided to try the Cullen Skink today, nice taste, sadly only 1 small piece of Haddock, mainly potatoes, maybe stick to fish and chips

Great fish and chips here, my misses and I both enjoyed it.

They are not officially halal, however they make the fries in separate oil. I asked them to use separate gloves when handling the fries to reduce risk of cross contamination and they were very happy to oblige. I was very happy with the service as they went above and beyond to help.

I’ve tried fish and chips in city, town and west coast harbours in Scotland. This fish and chips disappointed me so much as this is my first meal in highland.

Lovely food but difficult to find a table to eat it at.

I had the Furikake Fries and they were delicious, generous portion size for a side too! Unfortunately my order buzzer wasn't working properly so I missed the order once it was complete and they were cold by the time I went up to check, but the staff very nicely made me a fresh order on the spot.

This is the place to go to at the Victorian Market! From the amazing service and friendly smile at the register to the crispy, fresh wrapped Haddock with their homemade beer batter. It was truly a gem in Inverness. Make sure you ask for it spicy, though. Their house Cajun mayo is perfection with the fish. Cheers!

Fast, delicious Fish and Chips. Was pleasantly surprised when we walked in here and there is a DJ playing and 10+ Restaurants to choose from. This was some of the best Fish and Chips we’ve had while visiting the UK.

Located in the super cute Victorian Market the red shank delivers quick and tasty fish and chips. Fish batter is super crispy and chips were delicious. Pass on the tartar sauce for an extra pound - I didn’t like the taste

Superb tasty fishNChips. They serve the best. And their customer service is top notch. It’s inside Victorian Market food court. One may not find the proper road to enter..but if you take the entry through Market, it will be easier to find.

What a wonderful wee place is the Redshank in Inverness. Just a few steps from the train station, in the Old Victorian Market you can taste the most delicious fish and chips ever. Crispy, light and simply to die for! A plus is also the staff: a young lady and a gentleman, both helpful and very pleasant, make the whole experience simply excellent.

Redshank occupied one corner of the foodhall within the Victorian market. This stall always crowded. Cullen skink was so delicious. Initially, we thought that this traditional Scottish soup may be tasted like mushroom soup or oxtail, but it was totally different. The soup was creamy with beacon and potatoes and some greens. What a comfort food during winter time. WOW. 5 stars Steam mussels with spices were really amazing. The mussels were juicy and full of the taste of the ocean. The spices made the sauce so addictive. We never can imagine mussels can be tasted so well as back in our home country, Malaysia, that mussels may be frozen for weeks. WOW. 5 stars Beer battered haddock wrap was delicious. Crunchy outer layer and inner juicy. Taste of sea so fresh and strong. Since we have tasted the best fish and chips one day before we tasted at Reshank, we felt that the haddock wrap here was a bit below our champion. 4 stars

The mussels are amazing. We ordered it 3 times within the span of 2 days. Also had one of the best service recovery experiences ever. We ordered a monkfish curry and the rice turned out a little uneven (slightly undercooked in some parts). But the curry was amazing so we asked if they could give us another poppadom to have with it. They were so apologetic and gave us not only more poppadoms and curry but also a whole fish and chip.

The haddock in a wrap is delicious 😋 We had chips between us too. Thoroughly recommend 👍

Awesome fish and chip stall with a twist! Fabulous fish, fresh and with novel wrap ideas as well as a really good cup of Cullen Skink… walking away full, satisfied and happy! This is their stall at the Victorian Market food hall, where you can also grab a civilised seat to eat at under cover (which is useful given the vagaries of Scottish weather!!!).

Super, gutes Seafood zum kleinen Preis. Jakobsmuschel mit Bacon und Bloodpudding und Salat. War eine gewagte Kombination, geschmacklich echt ein Genuss. 12 Pfund Essen ist Streetfood. Gegessen wird im Foodcourt der Markthalle. Daher war das Ambiente nicht so berauschend. Davon sollte man sich aber nicht abschrecken lassen. Und das Dessert oder Kaffee holt man sich beim Nachbarn der Bad Girl Bakery
