The best restaurants in Scotland

Enjoyed both lobster and crab rolls from here . Amazing tastes ! Loved how we booked and collected later that day as we did some exploring . But you can just pop along and see what is on offer and get straight away . ... fab and highly recommend

Friendly welcoming bat and reasonable prices.

Booked an evening meal here and we’re a bit surprised at how basic and cafe like the restaurant is. However, the waiter was very friendly and helpful, menu choices covered every taste and the food was really good solid Scottish food. The steak pie was especially good.

First, Crail is a quaint town with great views. Lots to offer here but Reilly Shell Shack was a must on our list. My grandson had not had crab or lobster before. So he and I had one of each to try and compare. For me a seafood lover, it was the BEST. My favorite in the UK. For my grandson, nothing will compare to this, the taste, the experience, and the town.

Arrived at the cafe around 11:45 after phoning to check if it was dog friendly. Our name and phone number was taken and we were asked to wait outside for what they thought would be about 10 minutes as we were the ‘first in the queue.’ After half an hour and another couple being seated before us, I went back inside to query this and was told our details had been lost but the next available table was ours. By this time we were extremely cold and hungry. We waited approximately 10 minutes to be served and at 12:50 we had to check where our order was. At this point we were told our brunch was on and would be with us in 5 minutes. We cancelled our order as we were now about to be late for an appointment at 1:15 which we should of had plenty time for. Without even an apology, we left and won’t be returning. Shambles!

If I could give 0 stars I would. We went in here tonight before attending a show in the theatre across the road. We had left ourselves 1hr and 45 mins to eat before the show started which we felt was plenty of time. When we arrived the place was very quiet. It took a long time for someone to come and take our order and we noticed that people were coming in and being served before us. Almost an hour after we sat down we asked a staff member if our food would be coming soon as we were now in a rush. The person went away to find out and never came back to let us know what was happening. We then asked a second person and the people at the table beside us also said that they had been waiting a long time for their food. A server then brought the food to the people at the next table (despite us being in the restaurant for longer). We waited another couple of minutes and there was still no sign of our food. We then had no choice but to leave without our food and get something to eat at the City Cafe across the road (which was excellent with wonderful service!)

This was a last minute booking because we were running late. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and the food was fresh and piping hot we had chille and it had a lovely heat just after eating it nothing to strong. We had apple crumble for dessert this was made fresh as the dishes were super hot but also amazing tasting will be beck next time am up this way.

Nice bar - shame they don’t do pinot by the glass but have other whites on offer. Think there is quite a lack of seating but enjoyed it.

As meals for vouchers go this was quite good value. 2 courses from a menu with a reasonable selection.

Popped in for a quick takeaway on a Saturday night. Two noodle boxes and two drinks for a good price, big portions and really good service. Food was cooked fresh in the wok, no complaints from me. Recommend.

Amazing quality of products, nice service and lovely staff

What a lovely place, nice menu and a waitress not too busy to make sure that you had all you needed. My cousin is a celiac, so we have to be selective in our eateries, these guys catered for her with a great choice of meals down to the puddings. Very busy and having to turn folk away or ask them to wait.. Toilets clean and sweet smelling too👍👍👍

Excellent wee find, very friendly staff, very nice coffee, tea with a great selectionof cakes, great gift shop too with plenty of items to chose from.
