Ordered for takeaway, the drunken noodles ( Pad Kee Mao ) is very tasty and prawn is nice and soft. Tom Yum soup was the best i’ve had, very spicy and delicious! Portion size is good and enough for one person, 100% recommend ❤️

No frills and good value Thai food. We had the pad thai which was tasty and filling, could be spicier though. Jungle curry was rich, spicy and tasty, would happily have again. Coconut rice was quite sweet. Spring rolls were tasty.

This is one of my favourite places to eat, everything is wonderful!

Very delicious. The padthai is a bit soggy but tastes very good. The fried noodles are only 3.8 pounds. A big bowl is very fragrant and smells like a pot. The tom yum gong is the best I have ever tasted. The shrimp flavor is very strong.

Absolutely delicious food from this understated gem of a restaurant. The Chicken Pad Thai is the best I've had. Portion size was very generous and it was brilliant value at under £9. I wish I'd discovered this place earlier!

My usual place was closed. Made the mistake of ordering king prawn fried rice.. THE RICE WAS CONGELED. WITH 4 PRAWNS AND PADDED OUT WITH RAW TOMATOES AND CHUNKS OF CUCUMBER.. INEDIBLE .. WENT IN THE BIN.

What delicious, absolutely gorgeous food I had in this wee place. I've ordered the Pad Thai Noodles beef and the taste was out of this world, hence why I'm coming here to do this review. I've found my Thai food place in Edinburgh!

Thai Beef Salad & Chicken Red Curry OMG

A nice small place, the food Delicious, we went from England to Edinburgh for a couple Days, and we had a Dinner here,was Delicious food highly recommended

This place smells slightly of a leaking toilet. Soup had unappetising mushrooms inside but fried noodles were nice. Very dated inside and sticky tables. Different prices on the window menu and inside. No salt/peper or any sauce in sight and waiters face says I don't want to be here. Probably won't come back due to the above.

The food was great delicious and tender. The service was amazing, we were served by Nick who did a splendid job!!! Definitely coming back

Average food but one thing keeps lingering in my mind is the Doraemon on the menu :D any correlation？

Meh. I ordered a beef curry and chicken appeared. Cooking is very basic and too salty. Rice tasted sweet for some reason. It's not bad, it's just OK.

Pad Thai was good. Papaya was a bit disappointing as not sour enough.

Wow what a gem of a find. We were a table of 6 for a meal before Forth on the fringe. Doesn’t look anything fancy from the front or inside but don’t let that fool you. Outstanding authentic Thai food and having been to Thailand it brought back so many memories. Fantastic value for money too and BYOB is an extra wee bonus. Not many tables inside so I’d recommend booking.

Incredible Thai, actually spicy dishes

Not original pad thai ,more like black bran sauce, no chillies full of soya sauce and very soggy ,not happy, not original

We had the takeaway meal because it was a bit cheaper that way. The food was okay, not beautifully presented, the portion was normal but not large. The service person seemed very bored. For the price you can do it once, but we wouldn't come again.

Delicious food which is the main thing. A few oddities - they didn't have the drinks we ordered but instead of telling us, went to the shops to buy and produced them late in the meal. Also the ill-equipped toilet is through the kitchen.

My family had a wonderful dinner at Thai Bowl on the Walk last week. We are big Thai food fans and were not disappointed. We decided to try many of the items to taste the different dishes. They were all outstanding. We started with the Prawn Crackers and then moved on to the Prawn Tempura which were crispy panko type of batter and moist inside. We fell in love with the Montood, coconut battered sweet potato strips appetizers which are now a staple for any Thai meal. We had Chicken Massaman, which was seasoned perfectly. The modest looking bowl was enough for my dinner and lunch the next day. My wife loved the coconut rice and I had Mee Pad for the first time instead of rice and the egg noodles with veggies was the perfect compliment. So many textures, flavors that were all made to order and served hot, right off the stove. My son and friend had the red curry and pad thai, all were excellent. Wonderful evening. Thank you!

We tried a lot of Thai places in Edinburgh over the years. This is by far the best one there currently is: great portions and incredible taste-packed food. Highly recommend it!

Very dissatisfied and disappointed... We ordered pad Thai and fried rice, however, the food arrived soaked and appeared like they just roughly STIRRED all the ingredients together, rather than FRIED. There was a point when I doubted whether I was eating risotto and I really wanted to leave immediately… didn't worth the money… This restaurant used to have extremely wonderful pineapple fried rice, which I loved so much, but I think the owner has changed except for the restaurant name, thus the food quality is now different and I wouldn't recommend going anymore.

Really not recommending this place. Pad Thai - too sweet and the chicken was precooked, pale and dry. Same with the 'green curry'. A soupy thing that didn't resemble a Thai curry. Way overpriced when you sit in.

Probably the best I've tasted, delicious Tom Yum soup and generous portions. The sweet and sour was fabulous and good to see ample other vegetables included, quite rare in restaurants.

Genuinely a hidden gem. You wouldn’t realize how great this place is if you walked by. Small and unassuming ambience, absolutely great thai food. Imagine coming in from a cold and windy street and eating warm flavourful curry that takes all that away. This hit that spot many times over! Got the tofu stir fry, green curry and mango sticky rice. The dessert was a little too heavy on the rice, i mainly ate just the mango ! Also, big pro - they were open for dinner service at 9:30pm on a Sunday night. Others nearby don’t offer the same! One of the main reasons we stumbled here and 1000% grateful that we did!

Had the pad Thai which was honestly good and tasted like authentic Thai food (could be better with chili flakes though) but be wary and check your bills!!! We ordered a pad thai to-go so as to obtain a discount. We asked the waitress to confirm if the discount was valid and she said yes, but eventually still charged us the original price. While we were thankful that we requested for a receipt, we were told by another waiter that they had “increased” the price and the value charged was after discount (when the menu showed otherwise). Though the discount was small and they eventually refunded us the excess value, but integrity could be improved

The food is good but be careful if you sit in. I ordered 2 pad thai and 1 spring rolls, the total it was £23.50 and they charged me £7.50 extra, so I paid £31 😡

Got some satay chicken skewers, but they weren't cooked thoroughly. Fortunately i threw them out after the first bite, but i had a poor stomach for the evening. The pad thai was pretty good though.

We went for some late night take away. I think they were about to close down the kitxhen when we got there. But they were kind enough to make us food and it was quite good (chicken was a little dry, but not anything to complain about)

Camminando per le stradine di Edimburgo ho scoperto questo piccolo locale nei pressi dell’albergo dove alloggiavo. Location piccola ed accogliente. Personale molto cortese è disponibile. Cibo OTTIMO. I noodles erano squisiti. Sia a base vegetale che con i gamberi. Consigliatissimo. Se venite a fare un giro ad Edimburgo non posso che consigliarlo! È stata una vera fortuna battermi in questo locale, non lasciatevelo scappare.

Probably some of the best Thai food in Edinburgh I’ve ever had. Jack, server, was very attentive. Food was just right, not too hot, not too cold. Highly recommend!

Veg friendly!! Quasi ogni piatto del menu è possibile renderlo vegetariano. Pochi posti a sedere ma molto intimo. Prezzo contenuto, 24 sterline per due piatti principali e un antipasto,acqua e una lattina di fanta. Servizio buono.

Great wee place with delicious food

一开始是为了芒果糯米饭去的，但是强烈推荐泰式炒粉！超出预期的好吃👍冬阴功汤、咖喱也值得尝试，价格比较实惠。

I hope they made a mistake with my order because what I got was nothing like Pad Kra Pao. The dish I did get was lacking taste, nothing like what I ordered and just too hot. I have spent months in Thailand traveling and this food is very disappointing, I expect Thai food to be spicy but this was just all chilli and nothing else. Way better Thai food in Edinburgh available, don’t waste you’re time or money.

legit som tam and yum nua!! 🌶️🌶️ yes service can be slow when it gets busy but it's literally one person out front and a small family-run operation. what did you expect? deal with it!! pad ga prow was sadly "westernized" but I get it, you gotta do what you gotta do. thank you for keeping the salads real. 🙏

Lovely food, reasonable price, small nice place

Waste of time and effort. Was told on ordering that it was a 90 minute wait but after 2 hours and having chased the order twice I gave up. Cancelled the order and then the meal turned up 15 minutes later. I did not accept the order as it would have been stone cold. Will not bother with this place again.

The food in the Thai Bowl on the Walk is really second to none and for that they get five stars. However, the service is bad. After waiting over five minutes, I had to get up to ask for a menu after people who arrived after us received theirs. Two items on the menu were not available when we ordered. There was a long wait for food and I had eaten half of my main (at a deliberately slow pace) before my partner's main arrived. Overall, a great restaurant let down by poor service.

Great Thai food. I’ve been here a few times now, both for pickup and delivery. They are cash only for dine in, or if you choose the “pay in store” option for take away. Otherwise, you can pay with card online before arriving or for delivery. If you order directly on their website, they have a sort of loyalty program, which is nice. I love the pad thai and pad kee mao. They’re delicious and reasonably priced. This is my new go-to Thai takeout!

Our order had not gone through on line so was not ready but the staff made it up fresh while I waited. The curries were amazing and the coconut rice and the egg fried rice were so tasty. Would recommend

Hands down the best Thai food I have had in a very very long time. And the coconut rice is hands down the most incredible rice I have ever had. Like the way I would actually give my first born child for that coconut rice recipe is unreal. I could eat endless amounts of it.

Fantastic little restaurant. Great food. Just don’t go on a Sunday night as the owners will no be there an the service will be shockingly poor.

We ordered take away and were disappointed with the quality of the rice, pad see ew, and stir fry. We also ordered montood and spring rolls which were very lovely.

We enjoyed Kao Pad Kee Mao very much, but not so much with the other one we ordered - it was an unfamiliar taste. The price was very affordable though.

I’m dubious that the vast amount of 5-star reviews with no comments are genuine. We ordered simple dishes for delivery and none of them were enjoyable. The rice wasn’t even cooked well. Soggy Not impressed.

Due to the Edinburgh Jazz and Fest Carnival we were in we arrived approx b4 closing. They were very lovely and accomodating and the food was delish. I'm not a fan of Thai food, however having given it another go here... I will definitely be back!

Had an lovely evening here with a super friendly staff. The food tasted like home - great portion and spice level is on point! You rarely find fresh deep fried tofu. I’ve only seen it here. Crispy on the outside, soft and pipping on on the inside dipped in sweet chilli sauce or use it as a sponge to soak up your curries. Great price and huge portions of noodles & rice. If you’re looking for a no-frill, authentic Thai food without braking the bank around Leith walk. This is the place to go! It’s BYOB and they’ve got beer glasses ready for you!

Thai Bowl has quickly become a favorite takeaway of mine, after moving to the neighborhood recently. The staff are SO welcoming and kind, and everything I've tried on the menu so far is absolutely delicious. I usually order on their app and my food is consistently ready for pickup on time. Cannot recommend enough!!

The food was fine, the vegan pad Thai didn’t have very much tofu but other than that it was very tasty. However the service was absolutely exceptional and welcoming and the lady working there was very helpful with vegan options (they said they can make pretty much everything vegan because they make it separate and fresh which is great to know). Definitely would recommend for the lovely people and authentic Thai food.

Came up from South Wales for a tour of Scotland, final leg Edinburgh, decided to have a takeaway. boom! Justeat 20% off Tuesday. The food was very delicious and good value for money. The sticky rice was cooked just perfect, something very hard to do. A compliment from my mother who is Thai about other peoples Thai cooking is a very rare thing, she said it was tasty. *Thai mum approved

People were nice enough to take our order after closing hours and even added a little extra crisps as a side!

I had pad Thai and tom yum soup couple week ago. That was my 3-4 times, their food is amazing! Staff are friendly. Unfortunately, the day after I had tom yum I got sick... Will definitely go back but probably not ordering soup anymore.

Very disappointing. Paid £8.50 plus delivery for pad thai with just 4 prawns. Called them and they confirmed that is how little they put in to the dish. Terrible value for money and wasn't that tasty either.

Have ordered takeaway from them several times and they have a delicious selection. PLUS, every time they completely overestimate their delivery time and it has been very early for me (which is definitely a plus!)

Order arrived late, two hours after we placed it and only after we called 3 times and were told that 'it will be with us in 10 mins'. We asked for a dish to be non spicy and yet it was so hot it was inedible. No apology, refund or compensation was offered. The food is generally tasty but bad service. Will not be ordering from them again.
