Excellent hotel in a great location. Easy walk to the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, and Princes Street.
We arrived at the hotel very early, and they took care of our luggage and us, and got us a lovely cup of tea. Just the ticket after a long haul flight. The staff were so friendly, courteous, and efficient. The room was lovely, with excellent amenities, including an iron and ironing board. Also a nice kettle, Scottish breakfast tea, and lovely Scottish biscuits.
As an excellent bonus, the restaurant is simply outstanding. Delicious food, excellent wine, and impeccable service. All at quite reasonable prices, considering what you get.
Finally, a really classy bar with, of course, an amazing selection of single malt whisky, and some nice fairly private seating areas.
Highly recommended.
Possibly the BEST breakfast I’ve ever had. I am very particular about my eggs, and OMG! The eggs were cooked to perfection! 😍 Everything was delicious!
Really disappointed in the service and food, ( have eaten in the Nova a few times with family and been good), i was part of a group off 7 having lunch and drinks , ordered the soup and steak sandwich , service was really slow with the soup out 1st asca starter so everyone else had to wait for there food( good part of 40mins) when steak sandwich arrived it was more than steak, it had cheese on it( unfortunately I cannot eat cheese) this was not detailed on the menu. Sent the sandwich back but didnt want to order anything else, to be honest I had asked for the steak rare but was told it was just cooked the way they cook it which seemed strange to me. When we got the bill I was charged in full for the sandwich despite it being returned as not as ordered. Yes I was offered something else but as we had already waited nearly 1hr by this point I didnt have the time to wait any longer on a new sandwich. Feel its poor service when its clearly there fault not detailing the ingredients , ( what if it had been a peanut allergy? ) cheese is an allergy for me so could have had bad reaction for me. Anyway the manager was not willing to refund the sandwich, soup was nice btw so happy to pay for the soup, paid the £92 bill but will not be back again
Just had a lovely meal in here. Great tastes and very attentive service. The food was slightly overseasoned but the meats cooked to perfection. Surprised it was so quiet on a Bank holiday Monday. We will return!
This restaurant doesn’t seem to be a real Korean restaurant.
Instead of soft tofu stew, they serve mapo tofu soup, which is weird. And they say the pajeon doesn’t taste right.
As someone who has lived in Korea, this restaurant is the type of Korean restaurant that foreigners imagine, but it’s not a real Korean restaurant.
To be honest, I had high expectations, but I was disappointed.
Here’s a revised version of your text with improved grammar and clarity:
Unfortunately, I personally think that this is not a restaurant with authentic Korean flavors. I ordered the classic soft tofu soup and which every Korean restaurant should be able to prepare. It has a simple, easy taste, but all I could taste was a different Asian style of Korean food.
I am giving 2 stars for the service; they deserve 5 stars for that, but I have to consider the food as well. Therefore, I would not recommend this restaurant for those seeking real Korean taste.
Authentic Chinese hotpot restaurant. Ordering is simple from a newly updated picture tick menu. So much fun selecting and stewing your dinner in a variety of tasty broths. Love the mix your own dips table too.
