The best restaurants in Scotland

Starter mixed meat etc needs bread...quite oily Mains risotto lovely Steak and mushroom fettuccine 6/10 very oily also Tiramasu 10/10 Bottle wine £25 absolutely unacceptable for the wine ur getting £15 would be more like it!

Unbelievably exceptional experience. The Caledonia is a very special hotel and our Dean Banks tasting menu more than lived up to expectations. Arbroath smokie, sole, poulet, pre-dessert and dessert were just some of the delicacies that came our way. The setting is amazing and the attentive staff knowledgeable and friendly. An afternoon meal to remember in our capital city. Thank you to everybody who made us so welcome and described in perfect detail every meal and drink that came our way.

I am disabled which means I am almost completely blind and I also have some walking issues. However I am very independent and like to do things for myself. On the evening my husband and I visited the restaurant I went to the toilet by myself without any problem when I returned to the table one of the waiters came to our table and whispered in my ear as my husband was ordering some drinks “you madam may have one glass of wine with your dinner and no more, I’ve been watching you” we left straight away and I’m outraged and disgusted by this behaviour. Won’t ever return to this place. Very rud3 and ignorant

Craig and collette run an amazing bar with amazing staff working for them. Brendan the chef does super tasty meals at great prices. 2 pool tables, multiple dart boards, dominoes, jukebox. Fabulous fully covered beer garden. The locals are all very friendly ( one or two a bit grumpy ) 😂 Amazing whiskey selection as well as gins and other drinks all priced well. Well worth a visit.

I love it, a must-visit place, order the chai lattel and the brutal almond croissant!

It was a nice enough place to stay. The Bar has limited opening times around 3 hrs per day. I don't like having to order my breakfast the night before. Apart from that it was okay. We have stayed in just about every hotel,B.B. in the area so this one was okay.

So after a long hard day driving around Loch Lomond and the national park, visiting few places and enjoying the beauty of A82 we got back to the hotel, absolutely shattered, straight to the beds. Next morning woke up hungry wanting something desi, proper desi, no chance at the hotel. Ended up at this place after tasting their food at an event earlier, welcomed with a big smile by the owner. The place has just left me absolutely speechless, never had food so good, so fresh and so quick. A visit is strongly recommended. Everything we ordered was 10/10 but don’t miss to order daal with paratha, with many many other choices available too !!!

The Food was delicious and very reasonable. We felt very welcome. The staff were so friendly. We would highly recommend The Black Agnus and will book again.

Had the vegan full breakfast, probably don't need to eat for the rest of the day now! Really really delicious.
