Soup and scones is probably the best locally. Always generous portions often bring friends and or family. Also having a loyalty cards works too

Myself and a friend visited to grab a morning roll before playing golf. We parked in the car park and popped into the shop next door prior to heading to the cafe. On arriving back at the cafe we were met by an aggressive woman going crazy about using their car park. I very quickly explained we were coming in for a roll but had just popped into the shop before hand. This was answered by complaints about how we were parked. Unbelievable. I did try and retort by saying there were no marked parking spaces or signage explaining how they would like us to park but this was just met with more aggressiveness. A simple “no problem, would you mind parking over there” would have been the best response. After this we decided to leave and were told not to come back which we have no problem with. We took a drive 1 minute along the road to a different cafe called flour which had a much nicer vibe and the staff were superb and polite. Give this place a miss if you don’t want Fanny Cradock chasing you with a rolling pin.

Fantastic lunch yesterday. Food delicious, great choice on menu and everything cooked to order. Delicious selection of homemade cakes as well. If too full you can get them to take away. All the staff are so welcoming and attentive. Lovely atmosphere and tables well spaced out. Area at the back has a small selection of toys to keep children entertained. They also have a small selection of local crafts to buy which are lovely. Well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

We came here for a friend’s catch up for lunch and chat. We had a table booked. However 45 mins later we were told we needed to move on because the table had been booked for someone else. Really !! We expressed our unhappiness but it fell on deaf ears because they said we couldn’t stay due to the table being booked. That’s the end of coming here the food is okay I had a tuna sandwich but it was a bit tasteless. Sorry but I won’t be back !!

You'll not find a better sandwich anywhere else. Fillings are fresh and plentiful. Prices have crept up since we were last in but that's pretty commonplace these days unfortunately. Stopped for coffees and quick bites while exploring Perthshire & Angus. Staff were friendly and welcoming on entry. The interior has a modern design in one half of the cafe, and the other half has a homely look. There's even a fireplace in the middle of the cafe, which looks like it gets used. As it was only a quick bite, I got a cappuccino and a fruit pie. Pie was a bit sweet for my taste, but coffee was excellent. Overall, a nice refuelling stop if exploring the area especially as the cafe also has a private car park.

while it is good to see things have been put in place around COVID 19 , I think the implementation is totally OTT.. Half the coffee shop shut off for staff. Staff didnt appear to know which tables were booked and those that were free. Soup was served in disposal CUP with a tiny single use , wooden spoon. When ordering tea , at the counter, was asked if we took milk in our tea... Tea came in disposable cup with milk already added.. It's not as if they don't have a dishwasher. Anyway we won't be back...

Been here twice now, once for coffee and cake in the afternoon, once for an early lunch of soup and sandwich and both times came away stuffed and delighted! Coffee is freshly brewed, all the cakes are made on the premises and there is a huge selection to choose from. I had the coffee/walnut while my mother had a chunk of the tiffin. Was almost too much! On our second visit, we had an early lunch on the way to Pitlochry theatre. Soups and sandwiches, very generous portions, again, almost too much. We actually wrapped some of our sandwiches in our napkins for later :-)Again, everything is freshly made on the premises, very well prepared, presented, great flavours and original as well as traditional fillings. You won't go hungry and you won't be sorry! They also do plenty vegetarian and vegan options. Staff are very friendly, cheerful and knowledgeable, service is good and the place is relaxed and comfy. There is a big open fire and plenty seating near or away from the flames. Will definitely be back!

Have supported this very nice little coffee shop many times over the years. The new owners have wisely kept to what was a very successful choice of menu under previous management.. Staff are bright and friendly and provide a very efficient service. My only reservation and I think it is an important one is that the only provision for drying one's hands in the toilet is a hand towel. This was the case under the previous owners also and I do think it is something which should be changed by providing either a hand drier or paper towels. As far as I can see this toilet is used by staff also and it would only take one case of gastroenteritis for the coffee shop to face closure which would be such a shame. Not everyone washes their hands unfortunately and bugs can spread very easily due to lack of proper hygiene..

We had tea and homebakes and both were very good. We had something called a "ginger crisp" - maybe not very crispy, but certainly very gingery (which we loved!). It is clear the homebakes are really HOMEbakes, not some industrial stuff.

At the end of one the most stunning long drives in Scotland is this hidden gem. Situated by the edge of the River Lyon, surrounded by robins and swallows, we enjoyed a relaxed lunch of delicious tomato and pepper soup, quiche and a warm pastrami panini. Accompanied by coffee and lapsang souchong tea and served by warm and charming staff. Magical!

We haven’t been to the inn for a while. But as Sunday lunch here has always been good we headed north for a family treat. And treat it was! They have a new chef, Thomas, who introduced himself to us (and other diners) and was keen to know if we had enjoyed our meal. We had! This is not a traditional Sunday roast - it’s above and beyond better. The gravy was sublime. I asked what was in it and he said chicken stock and a lot of love! Treat yourself this is the best ❤️

Lovely location, good service and great food. We had bacon rolls, an egg roll, followed by scones & cakes, all were excellent. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.
