Cane in for lunch with two kids. They enjoyed the chicken korma and we had two delicious meals. Good food, friendly staff, good children's options. Will return and would recommend.
We were there as a large group of 15 people. The food was delicious and service was attentive. We felt very relaxed and enjoyed the evening and will definately go back very soon.

We were looking for a place too eat and googled the Inn. Fantastic place, great portions of food. Fish n chips and Haggis / Black pudding bites, best yet. Everyone was friendly and staff were amazing.

We stopped into Johnshaven after a day out up the coast at Dunottar and were delighted to find The Anchor.
There was a great choice available for seafood lovers, vegetarians and the kids alike. Service was spot on, the food was delicious and the bar/restaurant had a lovely modern, cosy vibe to it. Would heartily recommend 👌

We had the monkfish and pan-seared sea bass, both were good, but at £30 a plate, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The standout for me was the side of calamari. Service was good and friendly but a bit slow.
We had a great meal in this excellent restaurant. They serve what they call 'Scottish Tapas', letting you try lots of different dishes with a Scottish slant. There are Meat, Fish and Vegetarian options with lots of side dishes and all of the ones we chose were delicious. And the waiting staff were helpful, efficient and charming. Would go again at the drop of a hat.
We had a fab meal on Saturday night . Excellent choices on the menu and specials to choose from .
One of our favourites great for families. Food all freshly prepared .
Amazing, amazing, amazing. Fantastic food and reasonable prices. The restaurant was busy and there just seemed a buzz about the place. Venison empanadas were unreal. The venison haggis was so good I could have ordered a second plate. The wife had the gnocchi which for a starter which burst full of flavour. The pork rib main was very well balanced. The waitress was attentive and knew menu well.
We will certainly be back sooner rather than later. A cracking Ayrshire gem
