Our hosts took us to the Irvine Watersports Club, super value for money , along with great service at the bar - very friendly and accommodating.
Cosy atmosphere and refuge on a wet stormy afternoon .
Dog Friendly is always a plus+

It was an OK meal. A bit expensive for what it was. The prawn starter was overpowered by too much sauce which lacked a raste test prior to being served.
The cabonara was good but required a lot of black pepper. The mushrooms were generous.
Finishing it off with a double local whisky 😊
This place with the scaffold doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s truly a wonderful place with freshly prepared food to a very high standard of quality, the enchilada wouldn’t be out of place in a great Mexican restaurant, same with the pasta in a great Italian

We have now visited The Broomgate a few times and every time it has been excellent. The food is always tasty, plentiful and hot and the staff are all great and very helpful. This is a great wee restaurant for the size of a place like Lanark and is proving very popular. If you are thinking of going along call them up and book your table in advance because you will have no chance of getting a table if you just turn up, it is that popular! The Broomgate - recommended 👍🏻
Two of us are vegan and the selection of vegan offerings was impressive. Cauliflower bhaji pasty, vegan sausage roll and spicy Mexican bean roll were three savoury pastries that we tried and all 3 were outstanding. Really tasty fillings. They even had some vegan sweet treats that like brownies. Their coconut biscuits are also vegan and another favourite. Love this place!
Perfect visit! We took a trip to the Uddingston Food Market on a horrible wet and windy morning then popped here for a bite to eat afterwards. The food was amazing and Kayla was so lovely. I didn’t get the older lady’s name (maybe the owner?) but she was so lovely and helpful as well. Couldn’t recommend enough!
The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Also the head chef Loke and the waitresses provide a very warm and welcoming experience.
We were on a road trip throughout UK and stayed around Glasgow for 2 days. After a perfect dinner the first night, I had to come back for a second dinner the next day!
The Pad Thai is definitely one of the best we had, if not the best. The flavours and the spices are well integrated and the tenderness of the rice noodles are well balanced. The salad and curries we had were also very delicious and we would love to try everything on the menu if we were staying for longer.
