Was so disappointed with the carry out as 1st time and got prices on line which apparently have not been updated ordered veg pakora chicken pakora and poppadoms and spiced onions £18.96 when I queried this she said it was 2 poppadoms and spiced onions it's not the best experience as the prices are very much more expensive 6.99 chicken pakora and 5.99 for veg pakora 2.99 poppadoms and spiced onions.
Only exotic thing about this place is the prices.
UPDATE
After owners reply STILL no update on prices and as previously mentioned the poppadoms and spiced onions come together what they need to mention that a portion is 2 poppadoms broken up as when I ordered 2 poppadoms and spiced onions got the equivalent of 4 poppadoms at 5.98 so this needs to be clearer on the menu also as how many poppadoms do you need for 2 people.
Friday night takeaway with the family. First time using dirty dogs. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Great quality produce being used. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend and I WILL be back!!!
Been past here a million times and never been in. Used to live nearby and my mum still does so popped in for food. Very well decorated and very bright cafe. Used to be the Woodgrove pub and what a difference. Nice varied menu and lots of baking. Had nice brie, cranberry and bacon toastiest. Good mentions and a fantastic piece of carrot cake. Will definitely be back!

10/10 no faults. Food - exceptional. Service - superb. Atmosphere - welcoming. Special mention to the ribeye steaks & the chicken parpadelle. YUM! We even had breakfast the next morning & this too was really delicious & fresh.
Our visit was when Covid restrictions were being lifted and need to be viewed in that context. We stayed in the Lodge and wandered down for dinner. The wait for a pre-dinner drink was somewhat longer than we would have hoped and that reflected the service level throughout the meal - somewhat slow. The food itself was of a high standard but not truly memorable. We will return, I hope!
Came here for a quick bite after doing some of the Burns Trail in Mauchline. With the social distancing in place, there's no sit in and the cafe only serve food from the front door. The menu is very much traditional British foods, so you'll not go wrong if that's what you're after. Even though the staff were only serving through the front door, they're still friendly and welcoming.I got myself a Jaffa Cake and a Latte. The former did indeed taste like a Jaffa Cake (biscuit), although it was a bit too sweet. The latte was decent. Not sure about all the 5 star ratings, but it was decent food and I give it an extra star because the prices here are very keen.

We thought we would give the westerly a try and see how it was. Both decided to dress up and make a date out of it, and I'm glad we did! The restaurant itself is attractive and has a good atmosphere. Staff (students) were brill and absolutely did their best. Our waiter was Adam and it was his first day, he was so sweet! The food was incredible. Far better than we expected, and if in any non training restaurant, could easily have been triple the price. Will definitely be back
