Came here for a quick bite after doing some of the Burns Trail in Mauchline. With the social distancing in place, there's no sit in and the cafe only serve food from the front door. The menu is very much traditional British foods, so you'll not go wrong if that's what you're after. Even though the staff were only serving through the front door, they're still friendly and welcoming.I got myself a Jaffa Cake and a Latte. The former did indeed taste like a Jaffa Cake (biscuit), although it was a bit too sweet. The latte was decent. Not sure about all the 5 star ratings, but it was decent food and I give it an extra star because the prices here are very keen.

This little Cafe hidden in the corner of the square in Catrine is well worth finding. From someone previously in the food Industry I tend to respect Cafe's who get most of the business from locals. Cotton Trail fits that bill and the owners, family and other customers are so warm and friendly tae interloupers (non villagers) The food is always made freshly and is excellent. If you are looking for good honest food and a warm welcome this is the place to eat.

Had lunch today for the first time visit. Too noisy with young kids it was like a kindergarten. The tea was served as a cup of water and your expected to dunk the cheap teabags into it. The food was just edible but the slaw on the side of the plate was watery and barely covered the small of your hand. My advise, keep driving by

I've visited this small cosy place recently as staying close by. It dosn't look like much at first but if you go in well worth it. They have at the front the take away business but at the back a lovely wee cafe with an open kitchen so you can have a chat with the chef. It seems like a very family run business and just lovely. The food is just amazing. Very good homemade food. Nothing fancy but yummy. Very reasonable priced too. If I am ever back in that area, will definitely go back.

The steak pie was delicious and a very generous portion. I should have got a certificate for finishing off the Eton Mess - wow, just about finished me off! Huge. The roaring fire and a lovely black Labrador were both what a great pub should have. Will be back.

Delicious starters followed by pink roast beef. Speedy staff. I think an open log fire would add to the ambiance, especially with cold weather coming up. Every country pub should have one!

We visited The princes Cafe & Coffee Shop again today, five of us. I had the famed all day breakfast, friends had Chicken Tempura, Spicy Macaroni with chips. Everything was excellent, service & food. Cost us £44.00 for FIVE of us. Will be back next week for sure.
